    I’m a big fan of Honda... so here’s my suggestion to them for the next refresh of both models:
    # Civic Sport
    - Use LED for headlights and fog-lights
    - Use the 1.5L turbo engine (or offer as 2nd option)
    - Add BSI (Blind Spot Information)
    # Accord Sport
    - Use black grille instead of smoked chrome
    - Add remote start for the 1.5L

  • @BryceNewall
    @BryceNewall Před 5 lety +2

    It should also be noted that if you get the Accord Sport 2.0T vs. the 1.5, you get several more options that you would otherwise only get on an EX, including: Power moonroof, rear HVAC vents, 6 speaker stereo (vs. 4), heated front seats, power driver's seat, and blind spot monitoring, to name a few. You also get the 10-speed automatic transmission found on the other 2.0T models, vs. the CVT (unless you get a manual transmission). Of course, you'll spend about $4,000 more, and you'll get lower fuel economy and range vs. the 1.5T.
    There is also a well-documented "hack" for the Accord Sport 1.5T, and maybe also the 2.0T, that gives you remote start capability. Basically, the car already has it built-in, but the remote doesn't have a button for it. So, you simply buy a remote with the button, have it programmed (either at the dealer or by someone else with the proper equipment), and bam, remote start.

    Excellent comparison vid! Having owned 5 various Honda models over the years no other make compares for reliability and value. The new generation civics are too much like scaled down accords compared to years past both in size and style. I prefer my 2015 SI vs. the newer models which are not as rounded with too many creases, sharp lines and confusing back end styling and now larger than a 90’s Accord! Not enough of a difference between these two to warrant the extra $$$, you’re as well off with the Civic.

    Just got 2019 Honda Civic Touring! Just love the design of the Civic. Looks damn sexyy haha. (Got black color cause front grill is black, matches incredibly well! Decided to go with gunmetal mag cause Touring trim has few silver chrome pieces and again matches damn well!!!)
    Oh btw 2019 honda civic touring trim also has 1.5 turbo engine and to add on, headlights and fog lights on Civic Touring model are LED. Seems like I am adding more and more comments as the video goes on haha, so you can actually get rid off cupholdeers, at least thats what my dealer told me. +174hp, +touring trim has front and rare heated seats including sun roof or moon roof however you guys call it.
    Tbh with the price that I paid for my Civic, touring trim, you can definitely get an Accord. I just prefer slick design of 2019 Civic! :)

    I feel the Accord didn't just edge out the Civic, it won big. I mean the Civic started at 4 pts because it was less expensive and only got 1.5pts thru the entire comparison. The Accord gained 8 pts in the comparison, so clearly the Accord is better. Nothing wrong with the civic. But I would forget the 1.5T and CVT and get the 2.0T sport. It now becomes an EX trim level and 10 speed auto. Well worth the extra $3-4k and it would still win in this comparison.

    Because they listened to our complaints about earlier-released Gen-10 Civics having moronic decisions about burying things behind touchscreens vs real buttons and knobs. Hence the volume knob back in the Civic, among others.
