900 cd’s, 500 albums, and 85 cassettes here. 59 years old and multi media all the way. Love to go to Spotify to find new bands and then what I love, I buy. Found you on SOT and followed you here and subscribed. Great channel Phil.

Once again phil ,on behalf of myself and husband John ,thank you for your passion and enthusiasm,not to mention your hard work ,listening is sooo Inspiring,never seen John smile so much after watching your passion on the subject of music
The car has now so many cd loading on it ,rock music is now played on almost daily basis since watching your video ,the vinyl collection has been removed from the loft ,John wishes to invest in a brand new stereo stack ,we once had a Sony turntable and stack which was sold 20 years ago 😢
Music from our past ,concert programmes from years ago have been found again from the loft ,classic rock is very much back amongst the airwaves in our household and it’s joy to re connect to our memories

The reason for the rapid growth is because many people know quality when they see it. Personally I love your videos because they are very informative and educational. You remind me of Tommy Vance of Rock Salad fame, the popular radio show that entertained us in Asia and Africa between 1979 and 1982. He is a soft spoken music expert just like you.

There are things more important than music, but they can be counted easily on one hand. Some channels refer to “this hobby of ours” but I’ve been listening and collecting since 1970 and not once have I ever considered it a hobby. When music is so interwoven with your life then it’s a way of life and a way of life needs communion with the like minded. And that’s exactly where you come in Phil. OGWT, the weekly music press, John Peel etc were the places of such communion, many gone, some changed out of all recognition. 40 years of void ended the day that I discovered Now Spinning Magazine. Congratulations and thank you Phil.
And a huge thank you to Mrs Phil et al, your belief and support of this really good bloke is easy to understand but sadly easily overlooked by many of us Now Spinners so thank you.

I remember buying Zep's 4 symbols from a city centre record shop back in the day & my passion for buying / collecting music has never let up since..........you never forget your mum & dad knocking on your bedroom door to get the volume turned down tho !

Hi Phil, I have just became a patreon. Only found your channel a few weeks ago but I am really enjoying it.
Music is very important to me due to being housebound from long Covid then a stroke. It is very important to my mental health as I was feeling suicidal due to isolation but CZcams is a way of communicating with the outside world as I comment on most videos that I watch. My music collection is very eclectic but mainly rock and pop and I collect both vinyl and cd’s mainly through eBay which is another great time killer so your channel hits the spot nicely.

Music and connecting with likeminded people is very good for our mental and physical health. Remember you can’t have a set back unless you have moved forward! I have collected music for over 50 years which really took off in the 1970’s with vinyl and tape then like most people of my age started collecting cd’s mid 1980’s. I look forward to seeing your comments and I will be sure to comment back.
@@jogischulz2576 The first album that I asked my parents to buy me was the soundtrack to Camelot in 1966, I loved that film. From about 11 years old I went to secondary school and we had a brilliant music teacher who ended up being a friend for life. I bought several classical albums that he recommended but I also loved rock and pop music. Simon and Garfunkels greatest hits was an early purchase as was Yes Close to the Edge. In 73 I bought Mike Oldfields Tubular Bells and Neil Diamonds Hot August Night which have remained my top 2 albums and favourite artists of all time. Then came Queen. Great memories.
Your passion was evident from the very beginning, Phil when you had ‘just’ a few hundred subscribers (I was one of them!) - it’s no surprise that the channel is doing so well … keep up the good work :)

Its always felt that way to me......I must say, tongue in cheek, that your backdrop is costing me money....i take notice of the boxsets in the background and think...ooh i havent got that one....and add it to the list for my next order.
