- Easy to install and mount. The mounting makes this the most unique facet of this dash cam, compared to other cameras. It fits in such a way up close to the ceiling/roof of the car. It doesn't dangle down, which is nice.
- Be warned, one you stick this on, the sticky pad is staying on your windshield. It's not a suction cup. Just be sure when you mount this, you know exactly where it's going.
- Tested this in hot, summer heat and it still stays in place. I've found the suction cup dash cams eventually fall off (even if it's over a couple months). This isn't going anywhere.
- One of the lowest profile dash cams I've used (and I've used a lot!)
- Awesome quality footage, however be careful when putting the micro SD card in: It's VERY easy to push in the wrong way and it will get wedged in there. Trust me, be careful.
- Also if you're editing the video footage on a Mac, the Quicktime (MOV) video file does work natively in Final Cut. That is a blessing because there are a lot of dashcams that record to a weird AVI codec that you have to convert before editing.
Overall I am very pleased with this dash cam.

It was on Amazon Lightning Deal today for $75, so I got one for my 18 wheeler. Got the hardwire kit, GPS module and a 64GB SD card. Also found a USB C Micro SD card reader, so I can copy from the card to my phone without having to bring it home after work. Can't wait to install it! Too many idiots on the roads! Stay safe out there!

I’ve had the V1 4k installed now for a couple of weeks....install was a snap.
Hiding the power wire was easy with the supplied tool. Video quality is great.
Better then I expected. Even got the Rexing connect wifi app working.

Some cars and trucks do not have a cigarette lighter outlet that provides power when the vehicle is turned off. That is the reason for having the dash cam hard wire for parking mode. NOTE: when vehicle is hard wire the dash cam will not turn off.
Great review!!! 👍🏻. I have a window tint brow that runs across the top of my front window. I wonder if the adhesive would stick as securely to the window tint as it does to the glass? Also, not sure if the recording of the dash cam would be impeded by the 5% tint since all or some of the lens would be recording through the darkened tint.

How about more examples of video quality? Is there a way to measure speed of a car that impacts you? I was side-swiped by someone speeding, they said I was at fault.

The cigarette lighter outlets on my van stay on for an additional twenty minutes. I also don't have a center rear view mirror.

yosi feldler there is a button for record press and red light should flash meaning it’s recording, and the screen you can turn it off with the right button (all the way to the right)
Why do i need the hardwire kit to use parking mode? My lighter plug has constant power.
If it has constant power it can drain your battery with the car charger.
The hardwire kit has a smart feature where if it detects your car battery low it stops powering the camera to avoid killing the battery!

I'm looking at picking up one of these but my concern would be the brightness of the display screen at night, which you don't mention. Any feedback on that aspect?
you can turn off the display with a button directly under the display. it still records.
You can set the display to always turn off after a set time limit. Mine is for 15 seconds. So your concern is a non-issue for this camera.
I just bought one. Disappointed to see the app rating is only 1.6.
You shouldnt be using the app regardless. Get a USB memory card reader that works with your phone and h can view directly that way.
How does it function in HOT temperatures?
No problem yet. I've had it baking in +100 degree weather.
Don't bring it to Death Valley National Park at August, all technology is like dying for that month at +140 degree heats and sun.
I use this camera for almost 2 years in Saudi Arabia where the temperature is 140 Fahrenheit in the summer. It works perfectly. I recommend it.

Hello, does is the screen always on? Or does it shut off after awhile?
When I put the sim card from Rexing V 1 into my MacBook pro nothing comes up in finder. The same sim card would read from my old Papago, but not after recording on the rexing. Is Rexing compatible w/ Macs. I'm also wondering if there's a setting on the Rexing that reads either Mac or PC. Does anyone know? Thanks, Bob

Rexing is not compatible with Mac or OS. You must use a windows based system and the playback is very elementary, it is hard to find any instruction to switch between the different languages. Obvious they did not go to the trouble to be certified by Apple. So sad. I have a Night Hawk and do not have any problems with playback on my Apple. Will get another Nighthawk HD and call it quits with Rexing. Tried it and not happy with the output video.

Hey Einstein? Had you actually read the instructions?, you would’ve seen that it takes up to a 256 GB microSD card and there is a speed requirement for the card to actually work.
Secondly if you had read the instructions Einstein? You would’ve seen that there’s a lock out feature for recordings so that you don’t have to run home every time with a little microSD and your wanker hands to download this or that. If it records something that you want to preserve? there is a preservation feature by pressing one of the buttons......I’m not gonna tell you which one because you’re lazy and you need to look it up yourself.
