This will never happen. They'd need to reanimate every single champion to have a throwing animation so they can animate snowballs being thrown only in this one instance where it's trigger, her ult.
It's way way way too much work to be worth while.

I thought this was going to be something like the Odyssey event but then I remembered the company's direction is now making as much money as they can.

Riot is a publicly traded company, not a charity organization.
They have shareholders to answer to. Shareholders that may have never played a single game of League of Legends in their lives. Why should those people care or more importantly support decisions that aren't about maximizing profits.
This is the "game" they are playing. You are trying to get your rank as high as you can while they are trying to get their share price as high as they can.
You are playing a game inside a game. The game you are playing can only exist if the "real" one above is in a decent position.
This is how the real world works. This is the tradeoff for rapid mass scaling; losing agency in you own company by selling shares to the public. People who aren't good at maximizing share price will simply be replaced by people who can.
