      Wow, was just going to ask exactly this question. But also, Nick uses a tiny sized mannequin....what to do with size 20, 18, 16...etc? Any hope of draping for these sizes? I have an adjustable mannequin but once expanded, it tends to lose some curviness..... Looking forward to your response.

    Dear Nick, Thank you so much for your wonderful tuition! Can’t believe I’m learning how to drape and I love it. I have a problem though.... I have made several dresses for friends and now I have been asked to make a copy of one but in a large size. My dummy, although adjustable is too small. Can you show me how to transfer a pattern (made previously by draping) from a size 12 (English) to 18. I know it’s a big ask but you explain everything so well and you make it easy to remember!! PS. I have ordered your book entitled “passion for fashion” from Amazon UK but I have to wait until February for it’s release here. I can barely contain myself!! Thank you Nick you are the best! Magdalena :-)

    About the video:- it’s awesome and very very helpful!! Just one thing, could you specify that where would be the fastenings and that how it would be stitched as in which parts would be stitched?
    Looking forward to your response!! Thanks !!

    The Design is nice and a good technique , but I think that strap on the back doesn't look good. A suggestion instead of bringing the right side until the arm bring it until the edge of strap of the bow . so you dont have to use the strap

    • @danielutzon4870
      @danielutzon4870 Před 6 lety +5

      Sharee Flower you just remove the fabric and transfer it to pattern paper/tracing paper? Honestly, theres plenty tutorials for that. Nick creates free content so dont be an asswipe and complain.

    • @cityzoo777
      @cityzoo777 Před 6 lety +3

      go to "daniela tabois" channel. u might get what u want. drape, transfer to paper and sew

    • @ninja13b
      @ninja13b Před 6 lety +2

      After you mark it lay the drape flat and trace it on to paper onto the paper. You can either lay tracing paper over the fabric and trace that way or you can use a tracing wheel and trace the markings that way. Dont forget to true seam lines with rulers and curve tools so they're straight.
