    Coldheart, Kael, Athel, Apothecary, Warmaiden, Reliquary Tender, Soulbond, Painkeeper, Bellower, Elhain (only if starter). If you are wondering where Galek is, I would say to 6* warmaiden instead. And that's before you get to the ones you would use in niche situations (some much less niche than others). Possibly swap Reliquary for one of (Paragon, Graybeard, Marked, Renegade, Muckstalker)
    These are some more for niche situations: Paragon, Fellhound, Heiress, Bogwalker, Muckstalker, Veteran, Coffin Smasher, Renegade, Frozen Banshee, Graybeard, Marked,
    And that's before faction wars, which may result in pretty much anyone becoming six star, and is so custom to player that going into it would be stupid (I don't count faction wars when saying a "who to six star")

    • @ColredPlaysRSL
      @ColredPlaysRSL  Před rokem +3

      I can respect that list @zoeevans543. Lots of good rares in there. As I mentioned in the video, I think each account will have different needs and therefore can consider different rares to take to 6-star. The 10 I mentioned are the only 10 I think every account should 6-star at some point. Although I do think Reliquary Tender, Treeshield Knott, Warmaiden, and a few others you mention occupy a tier of rares I think of as "probable 6-star" champs. Again, it just depends on what champs you've pulled and what holes you're trying to fill in your roster. Thanks for the comment! I always enjoy a good champion debate!! 🫡

      Thank you @nonamenoone1484. I know I'm F2P, but I make no stands about it. My philosophy is simple: people should game the way they want. As long as you spend your gaming dollar in a healthy way for your lifestyle, then great! Game devs gotta eat, and no game survives without its spenders. The reason I usually go F2P is because I find it to be a fun challenge. I WILL spend on cosmetics and such that don't affect game play so that I can support the games I enjoy monetarily without altering my F2P status. Anyway, glad to have you here!

    So glad you are doing these as a F2P/Low Spender player and don't have a huge kraken account. It gives a completely different point of view (I am a low spender myself, and other content creators make me want to spend more money, even on their F2P accounts).
    Also, would you mind doing a video on your setup? What program are you using to record this with the screen in the background, what do you do for your editing, etc? That is something that has always fascinated me.

    • @ColredPlaysRSL
      @ColredPlaysRSL  Před rokem +1

      Hey @PatrickBurdine, I'm glad I can help out. I think an extra challenge to being a F2P player or low-spender (as if we needed another one) is exactly what you're saying: watching content creators can make you feel pessimistic about your roster of champions, your gear, etc. because the comparison is so drastic. It does make you want to spend (or spend more). My message to players is not that you shouldn't spend, but that you don't have to spend in order to succeed at this game. Being F2P or a low spender requires more patience, more creative problem solving, and more discipline, but it's entirely possible to do, and it can even be more emotionally rewarding if you earn your progress with hard work rather than your wallet. The F2P life isn't for everyone - and I don't think it should be - but it can still be competitive, successful, and really fun!

I have also 6* a few for specific areas: Frozen Banshee (clanboss), Muckstalker (Sand Devil), Heiress (clanboss), Metalshaper (Scarab). And I 6*some just for fun: Kurzad Deepheart, Candleguard. @chrispellbois6498 That is a valid position, but my RAID experiences have made me think differently. These ten rare champions were mostly vault guards a year into the game, but came back out 5-6 months later and are now getting more usage for me than ever before (with the exception of my starter Elhain, obviously). I think Painkeeper is the biggest surprise. CD reduction can be incredibly valuable in so many places that I'm actually building multiple copies of her at this point.

      See Warmaiden (Best rare for the job, but force atk), Fleshmonger (magic atk), Dagger(Void Atk), Raider (small version but best Spirit option if you want to go there).
      And particularly for Hard tower;; CC or AoE plenty for stun sets.
      **Soulbound Bowyer** (or even more than one) is a very popular choice which covers Spirit/Atk with AoE A1.

What I meant when I stated, "I'm still working out my best rares for some of those rooms myself" was that since I've got a whole bunch of rares at lvl 40 or 50 anyway, I'm trying to make do with what I've already got as much as possible. It's just my F2P mentality: get by with what you've got wherever you can, and only invest in a new rare when you have absolutely no other solution. Thanks for the follow up comment though. I argue that there are many champs more valuable than Fellhound to 60, making a dedicated campaign farmer is great but for a VERY long time you don't need a super specialized one, and often other areas are easier to replace starter in. Also Saurus (uncommon) can do the job as well. And by the time you are looking for someone in that role it is possible you will have an AOE a1 epic or legendary who will also be great for other content. Bellower is amazing due to the CC and Stun set reasons as well (this making him great in dungeons and doom tower).

    • @ColredPlaysRSL
      @ColredPlaysRSL  Před rokem +1

      That's an interesting take. I agree that you CAN certainly wait on building a dedicated campaign farmer, and it won't cripple your account or anything. However, I do believe there is a lot of real life value in building a 6 or 7 second campaign farmer early on. Just doing my daily 7 campaign mission now takes me less than 90 seconds, whereas it used to take like 5 minutes. And if I want to grind out some xp on 12-3, I can drop 1000 energy in less than 15 minutes, whereas it used to take close to an hour. That's also helpful during Champion Training events. Plus, my new campaign farmer went right into my Faction Wars team. So, I think from a quality of life standpoint, Fellhound and Bellower can reduce your frustration with the game and increase your enjoyment, ON TOP of providing some measurable in-game value. When you choose to pull the trigger is up to you, of course, but I'd advocate for some time in your first twenty 6-stars. It just makes life easier. I appreciate the comment - Thanks, Zoe!!

    • @zoeevans543
      @zoeevans543 Před rokem +1

      @@ColredPlaysRSL Of course. For me I run a 7-13 second farm with my Big Un (I pulled him so still haven't built out a 6 second 100% because I can average like 9 seconds already). And I can see how that would make it less annoying. I was just thinking about resource optimization.

    • @ColredPlaysRSL
      @ColredPlaysRSL  Před rokem +1

      @zoeevans543 And now I'm understanding more where you're coming from. If you already have a farmer at 7-13 seconds, the improvement Fellhound/Bellower offers is a fraction of what I got when I built mine. I went from a 15-23 second farmer to a consistent 7 second farmer. That's just a huge difference in time investment and also the FEEL of campaign farming. As for optimization, I also like to look at the long-term, practicable picture. You're potentially correct (I'm not sure that you are, but I concede that your claim is certainly reasonable) that another 6-star instead may be optimal in the perfect situation, but I'm also an imperfect player. I sometimes waste resources because I run out of time or I lose focus. So if I can increase my personal efficiency through a move that might otherwise be viewed as a slightly inefficient use of resources, the question becomes - in the final balance of resources, did I come out ahead or behind? My gut feeling is that my Bellower was a good, efficient use of resources at the time. My best judgment is utterly certain that spending less time campaign farming allows me to better focus on more important tasks, and thus makes me a better player. I don't know that I can prove that empirically (without a whole lot of time and effort at least), but I feel confident enough to continue to recommend the same move to other players. That being said, I'm sure your advice would also probably work out for a fair portion of the RAID player population. Just another example of how RAID can be conquered in so many different ways. Sorry for the long-winded reply, but champion debates are just one of my favorite things. Thanks for the comments!

  • @pweddy1

    I started with Athel, but 6 starred Kael as soon as I got him because I didn’t have a good poisoner for clan boss.
    Due to how hard it is to get books, could it be said that rares can be more valuable than epics and legos for free to players?

    • @ColredPlaysRSL
      @ColredPlaysRSL  Před 5 měsíci +1

      @pweddy1 Certain rares can be very valuable to certain rosters at specific times. It takes some experience to really see how to get the most out of rares. However, like you said, the rare books are more plentiful in the early game. So, the nice thing is, even if you build a 6-star rare that turns out to be a bit of a poor investment, the overall cost stays pretty low. And you'll always get value out of a 6-star rare in Faction Wars and DT secret rooms, so it will never be a total waste. The only rares that are really more valuable than epics or legos, even to F2P players, are the ones that are either straight-up OP, like Coldheart, super versatile utility champs, like Apothecary, or provide a really great solution for important content, like Heiress or Fellhound. There are probably fewer than a dozen rares like that, but there are another 20-30 that can provide good spot value from time to time. You certainly don't need to avoid developing good rares; I would just caution you against over-investing. You always want some chickens on hand for any key epic/lego pull you may get. Thanks for the question!

      Another viewer pointed out the Fellhound FK utility as well, and that it very true. That oversight was actually due to a miscommunication with my editor (entirely my fault), but I didn't feel like it was a big enough omission to warrant a re-edit. As for Nia and Aniri, there are many more champions that can decrease the cooldowns of themselves or one target. My point from the video was that there are only 5 champions in the game that can decrease or reset cooldowns for their entire team (only 2 of which are rares): Kymar, Countess Lix, Yumeko, Painkeeper (rare), and Renegade (rare). At one time I felt like you do @ondeathsedge7278. It seemed like CCs kept suggesting rares that I thought were a waste of resources. However, once I started completing Doom Tower Hard mode, I had to start using more rares to clear the secret rooms. I also started to find rares, like Renegade, that do certain jobs that very few other champions do. That made me reconsider how to use some of the rares I had already built, like Apothecary, and now I get more use out of him than I ever did before. So, while I respect your opinion, and everyone has to decide the best way to progress their own account, I stand behind my statement in the video. These 10 rares will generally yield the highest value among rares, and everyone will be able to find at least some good uses for them, regardless of the level of account. Hope that clarifies the issue a little. Thanks for the comment!
