I bought one for beer league and you gain so much more time and so many more goals because the first few times people notice your stick, they stop and go "WTF?" and you just blow right by and score!

Great Vid, I would be curious to see how the grip holds up over time. I have seen some sticks with the sand paper built on grip that disappear after a couple of tips.
Seriously thou stick with wholes is tenuous cause it’s destroys the goalies ability to read the release

Think about it. Black puck, white ice. I love when guys use white tape cause its easier to read than black tape. If you're blade has the holes. You're too far away for my eye to pickup the differences. Hope this never makes it to higher levels cause its an absolute advantage.@@TheNasher61

Wax doesn't necessarily improve grip, it is mostly meant to keep snow off the blade
well less snow means more grip !

I think the grip is the stronger your shot is, because the lumpy sandpaper-like surface penetrates the puck deeper. Also, the stiffness of the puck might depend on the temperature. Therefore, I think, the grip properties depend much more on the context, compared to the traditional setup. Possibly ;)
Just want to say that I love all of your videos, and I really appreciate all of the effort into all of your videos. Don't get over CZcams like most of my favorite CZcamsrs did. Keep up the very great work and hope you still love doing your job!

This seems legit. Structural integrity isn't compromised, and the holes allow for less air resistance, and a faster speed of the swing, resulting in a harder shot travelling faster. What's not to like here? I expect to see these in the NHL soon.

I still love my aluminum Gretzky sticks/shafts---wish they made aluminum blades--I played semi-pro with this stick and had a 105 mph heavy shot. The league lasted for only one season but playing for the Houston Blast was a trip---I was more of a middle linebacker on the ice at 275 LB-----hurt a lot of people but love your video bro-----graphite would snap on me after a few shots thus the aluminum.
the thing about aluminums is not only did they not break on shots but they didn't break when you slashed people. it was like being hit with a pipe. i still remember the welts i had from those things lol

I actually met the guy who made the stick over winter brake. He is the guy who made the sponge daddy on shark tank. He showed us all of his sticks. Personally I would never use it because I prefer to not be chirped out of this world

My friend back in the 60s used to drill holes and bend his sticks into wicked curves, to make the puck or ball do the craziest things

You're trading mass for speed.
Both have a part in the power of the shot.
On a regular one you might get the same power (if not more) due to the extra mass.
It's just physics.
André Silva not entirely. This stick may have the same mass in the blade but less air drag, however until you see this stick in a wind tunnel, who really knows how well it helps.
ONLY DOWN SIDE I SEE IS...AFTER A FEW GAMES AND BLADE GETS ALL CUT UP BY SKATES YOU CANT JUST RE-TAPE IT...NEED A NEW STICK AFTER EACH GAME...LOL

I don't know. The slappers from the "traditional" stick seemed heavier, faster. The shots from the TOVI didn't sound as solid nor did they seem to be going as fast? Could be just a mind thing though but it would be coold to see if there is a puck speed difference between the two.

for your next "is it trash?" you should use the new stringking hockey stick. They are a lacrosse company that just made a hockey stick and i would love to see a review on it.
its great and dandy in practice to go top ched every time but is there a curve option that you can keep the puck on the ice with?
With the 2n your slap shot seams so much more powerful than with the TiVo you lost a lot of power with the TiVo 😀
From a big picture perspective on the slap shot, if you use a little stiffer stick it will improve your slapper. I'm a 75 flex guy as well and I dont even try to take one t's or slappers because the stick loads up too much. Try an 85 flex stick...

Hey Nasher just wanted to say to keep doing you man... looks like so much fun... but I do wanna ask about that stick... do you think it would hold up through a season of beer league/adult league?
The idea came from floorball. Floorball sticks have had the holes in them since forever.
Could really see Snipers use these with great effect for those quick slapshots, and the extra puck grip is probably good for locking the puck in defense against the boards. So I'd see this defenitely as a good pick for a Defense player.
It'd be interesting to look at the stick from the top with a high speed camera to see if it deflects like a solid stick.
So...? How is it working out? You should try and get some pros to try it out with you and make a vid. GOod to get all the opinions from the Am to the Pro.

Haha that stick is kinda old technology! They made a street hockey stick called the death stick with holes in the blade 20 years ago! The grip is the only thing new technology!

Intriguing innovative tech. When I was younger, I would have bought this stick with my disposable income and not even thought twice about it. These days, I just stick with my tried and true (Easton Ultra-lite 2-piece stick), and put the money I save towards my kid's university education or the mortgage. Yeah the sacrifices we make as parents, right? Thanks for posting. Liked and subscribed.

I had a Metal stick with a blade like that back in the 70's. Moss sure shot or something. It was green and weird. Dad got it at a garage sale for me because i was always breaking sticks.
Lean on the stick some more to generate more power to stop the puck from fluttering during the shot.
