Heavy thunderstorms have caused a lot of damage in southern Bavaria. Late on Wednesday afternoon and evening, a thunderstorm cell moved across the region and hit parts of Bavaria quite hard. Cellars flooded, trees fell on railway lines and caused train cancellations.
The Oberland Integrated Control Center reported flooded basements and flooded streets. The southern district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen and the Murnau region were primarily affected.
According to the spokesman for the Rosenheim control center, the storm was particularly concentrated on Holzkirchen in the Miesbach district.
