I recently found a trick. If you find or have a mascara that you love, keep the brush that came with it, clean it and use it with another one. Maybe the thing that made the mascara so good was the brush, and most companies use the same composition in mascaras, so you might give that a try :)
You solved a mystery for me! I have been thinking of doing that for a while but wasn't sure. Yup. I've always found that the products you need to invest in the most are face ones (foundation mainly). There's amazing long lasting lipsticks in the drug store end and anything above it is just more of the same thing. Mascaras is the same. You can literally find a 3 buck mascara that does the trick.
My top 3 mascaras are the maybelline sky high, L’Oréal lash paradise, and the telescopic by L’Oréal. I just love the way these all make my lashes look because I have very short eyelashes but they make them so long. Definitely recommend!!
I finally tried the L'Oréal lash primer and what a difference! I'm 49 and my lashes are a tiny bit different than when I was younger but when using the primer my lashes are waaaay longer, thicker and amazing looking. Best new find!

I love the loreal lash paradise mascara as well! And you’ve turned me onto the primer which I love. Makes other mascaras last and look just as good as the lash paradise. One tip I’ve learned is to hold a mirror below your chin and look down. It helps me not get (as much) mascara on my eyelid. Thanks so much for your awesome videos and tips 👏🏻

I really really liked it for the first 3 applications. And it very quickly got clumpy and dry and is now flaky. Annoying. I wish Dior show would have left their old formula alone. They used to be so good 😭

I have used and tried all those mascaras and they are most definitely amazing! The first one I tried was the Cover Girl one and it made me not want to use false lashes anymore and appreciate my own lashes. Your lashes are a dream!!
For some months now, I've been in love with the Maybelline falsies Push Up Angel Mascara! I had some faves before, but with this I could actually tell a difference and I feel like it even curls my lashes while I apply it! Love it!

Yes!! These are some of my FAVOURITES and they work so so well for me. They actually make my lashes look darker which is always my issue bc I have long and thick lashes but they’re lighter
I love the Bye Bye Panda Eyes Mascara from Essence! I live in Europe so I’m not quite sure if it’s available in US. It if you can, try it - it’s a great tubing mascara washable with warm water. Lashes look bomb ❤️❤️

I actually have never used a high end mascara (ok I've never used any high end product 😅)..but mascara is actually something I do use from time to time when I wear make up, and my favourite mascara is a German drug store mascara called "Glam Doll" by the company Catrice, which is quite popular here in Germany. I use the version in waterproof and it is so so so good! I actually thought about sending you one!

I tried maybellline -falsies push up drama too and loved it, I've always loved drugstore mascara. Always. Recently, I got Marc jacobs mascara in my Sephora playbox and did not like it at all. Drugstore is better. But I LOVE Marc jacobs lip gloss. We all have our favorite things from different brands. You have the prettiest lashes!!! Love u girl!!! I have been using the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara for about three + years now. It is such an underrated product and deserves more attention! Recently switched over to the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara EXCESS & love it SOOOOOOO MUCH MORE! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better. It gave better results than the Benefit They're Real! Lengthening Mascara, which was my go to for some time as well.
My HG drugstore mascara combo is actually layering Lash Paradise and Million Lashes! I do one coat of LP on top and bottom, then add a coat of ML on top. I find the ML wand really helps get rid of any clumping that I experience with the LP.

Girl, I am so envious of your lashes! I have pretty average lashes and I'm also a big fan of the lash paradise. I find the maybelline one a bit difficult to work with since the wand is so huge and my eyes are kind of small. One mascara I really like that I don't hear people talk about much is the Rimmel lash accelerator mascara. It's a really good lengthening mascara, IMO.
As an ex-L'Orealer, the company's brands make the best mascaras. I never stray Great brushes, formula and comes off in the shower for me without having to use makeup remover, which is one less product to buy. L'Oreal Paris, Maybelline and Lancome all the way!

Ive been using covergirl lash blast since I started wearing makeup at 11😂 every time I try a new mascara I just go back to my beloved lash blast the only mascara that doesn't transfer!
I've been using LOreal marcaras for years, they really are the best of drugstore brands, but considering that they are the parent company of Lancome it makes more sense.
Love the tip about pushing up into the roots of your dry mascara for a light curl. I have the same problem that my lashes are very long and curly on their own so I don’t like curlers on me
I used all to the last mascara and now I'm going to buy that. I had such a hard time putting on false lashes that I've given up so I spend 4 months putting oil on my lashes and they grew nice and long and now using Loreal products, my lashes are perfectly long and thick. Great video.

Definitely need to try that million lashes one! I have super straight and short lashes & my top two favorite mascaras of all time are the voluminous lash paradise (waterproof) and cover girl lash blast (also waterproof) so we’re on the same page!
That's what mascara USED to do to my eyelashes back in the '70s, 80's and early 90's, and I have short eyelashes. Mascara used to make my lashes so long that they touched the underneath of my eyebrows. Now, NOTHING! Even the lenghtening mascaras that are being produced now do nothing for making my lashes long, so, I use false eyelashes to get the length I want and it makes me so sad. I don't have the money anymore to just say buy mascara and if it doesn't work, just shrug, and with the price of mascara, too, its ridiculous. I would take your suggestions to heart, but, I'm afraid to waste ten dollars only to have it not work or it will be dried out, which I find a lot of mascara tubes are when I buy them or they dry out about two weeks after I start to use them. I just turned 47 11/11 and I know what you mean my lashes were sooooo long and beautiful the only thing that helps me I feel is at night I put a little Vitamin E Oil on my lashes and only mascaras that attempt to give me length are those spickey type brushes that people either love or hate like that are on benifit they’re real mascara or thrive liquid lash extensions mascara (new find for me) but any of those full brushes only seem to make my lashes grumpy clumpy but those thin wands help me with length so much ....good luck
Oh also so I don’t feel like I have wasted my money when I purchase a new try mascara (for some reason I just think I gonna find better always) anyway if the wand doesn’t work for me I will use my wand from an old mascara that I like with other mascara formula to use it up instead of wasting the whole thing
Hilarious! We apply our mascara exactly the same - down to pulling off any clumps, fanning out the lashes on the outside corners, and only adding a light coat on the bottom. Your lashes are GORG!! :)
Does anybody have my problem? When I was young I had beautiful lashes, long and curly, as I have aged my eyelashes are short and sparce. Very frustrating. I do use Lancolm, I think it is the best for me. I am so envious of this lady. 😢

Lash blast (orange tube) is an OG. Tried plenty of different ones and always go back to my orange tube 💯😁

I have been using the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara for about three + years now. It is such an underrated product and deserves more attention! Recently switched over to the L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara EXCESS & love it SOOOOOOO MUCH MORE! Just when you thought it couldn't get any better. It gave better results than the Benefit They're Real! Lengthening Mascara, which was my go to for some time as well.
My HG drugstore mascara combo is actually layering Lash Paradise and Million Lashes! I do one coat of LP on top and bottom, then add a coat of ML on top. I find the ML wand really helps get rid of any clumping that I experience with the LP.

Girl, I am so envious of your lashes! I have pretty average lashes and I'm also a big fan of the lash paradise. I find the maybelline one a bit difficult to work with since the wand is so huge and my eyes are kind of small. One mascara I really like that I don't hear people talk about much is the Rimmel lash accelerator mascara. It's a really good lengthening mascara, IMO.
So this video just came up for me, in the year 2022. And the CoverGirl mascara was my Very FIRST mascara & I don’t know why I stopped using it. 😍😍😍

As an ex-L'Orealer, the company's brands make the best mascaras. I never stray Great brushes, formula and comes off in the shower for me without having to use makeup remover, which is one less product to buy. L'Oreal Paris, Maybelline and Lancome all the way!

I've been using LOreal marcaras for years, they really are the best of drugstore brands, but considering that they are the parent company of Lancome it makes more sense.
Love the tip about pushing up into the roots of your dry mascara for a light curl. I have the same problem that my lashes are very long and curly on their own so I don’t like curlers on me
I used all to the last mascara and now I'm going to buy that. I had such a hard time putting on false lashes that I've given up so I spend 4 months putting oil on my lashes and they grew nice and long and now using Loreal products, my lashes are perfectly long and thick. Great video.

Definitely need to try that million lashes one! I have super straight and short lashes & my top two favorite mascaras of all time are the voluminous lash paradise (waterproof) and cover girl lash blast (also waterproof) so we’re on the same page!

That's what mascara USED to do to my eyelashes back in the '70s, 80's and early 90's, and I have short eyelashes. Mascara used to make my lashes so long that they touched the underneath of my eyebrows. Now, NOTHING! Even the lenghtening mascaras that are being produced now do nothing for making my lashes long, so, I use false eyelashes to get the length I want and it makes me so sad. I don't have the money anymore to just say buy mascara and if it doesn't work, just shrug, and with the price of mascara, too, its ridiculous. I would take your suggestions to heart, but, I'm afraid to waste ten dollars only to have it not work or it will be dried out, which I find a lot of mascara tubes are when I buy them or they dry out about two weeks after I start to use them.

I just turned 47 11/11 and I know what you mean my lashes were sooooo long and beautiful the only thing that helps me I feel is at night I put a little Vitamin E Oil on my lashes and only mascaras that attempt to give me length are those spickey type brushes that people either love or hate like that are on benifit they’re real mascara or thrive liquid lash extensions mascara (new find for me) but any of those full brushes only seem to make my lashes grumpy clumpy but those thin wands help me with length so much ....good luck
Oh also so I don’t feel like I have wasted my money when I purchase a new try mascara (for some reason I just think I gonna find better always) anyway if the wand doesn’t work for me I will use my wand from an old mascara that I like with other mascara formula to use it up instead of wasting the whole thing

Hilarious! We apply our mascara exactly the same - down to pulling off any clumps, fanning out the lashes on the outside corners, and only adding a light coat on the bottom. Your lashes are GORG!! :)

Does anybody have my problem? When I was young I had beautiful lashes, long and curly, as I have aged my eyelashes are short and sparce. Very frustrating. I do use Lancolm, I think it is the best for me. I am so envious of this lady. 😢

I am a fan of voluminous (always have a backup one)... tried lash paradise in waterproof and didnt like it... plus cant stand the wand. My new fav is maibelline total temptation.... they dont advertise it as waterproof but it does a pretty good job.
