I’m Scottish, but helping coach my son’s team in England. I actually hold American youth soccer in high regard. You have some great coaching, and great young players.

I am loving your videos!!! Amazing as it is bringing meep to speed to help coach U10. I'm switching from coaching hockey to soccer. Is there soccer training aids that you suggest? Such as rebounders, etc..... Thanks,

Thank you - you're my target audience!
I played hockey myself, and all the same concepts apply - space, support, angles, etc - some of my better players played hockey, and they always seemed to get those concepts so much quicker.
I'm planning on a short video on some of those training aides soon!

I do enjoy your videos. Don’t know if you plan on doing some 9 v 9 videos in the future, but sure hope you do.

Maybe not directly for a bit, but I am asked enough here that I'm going to do something about planning for 9v9. What is nice is if you are using the 1-2-3-1 as I suggest, you are training all the roles that can happen in the 9v9 game.
9v9 is odd simply because it really requires you to think about 11v11 if you are really working to train your players for the long-term.
What you do in 9v9 should be a direct result of what you plan to do in 11v11, because there are so many different ways to play 9v9, but they all (mostly) translate to an 11v11 format in terms of training players to learn certain roles and relationships.

Thanks for your reply. I do use the 1-2-3-1 for my 7 a side team. I look forward to future videos. Thanks for all you’re doing.

@@SoccerCoachKW Episode 18; I did. I’ve really enjoyed watching all your videos! Lots that can be carried over from the 7 aside game to the 9 aside. Thank you!

You should be saying Canada and the USA because Canada is also not the same as other countries concerning soccer and we also go by Grass Roots soccer program for our volunteers like myself.

Good to know! I only know my little neck of the woods and what people tell me!
