King and Queen 'very grateful' for support after 'challenges' of last 12 months

  • The King and Queen's first public duty will be a visit to a cancer treatment centre on Tuesday.
    They will meet specialists and patients at the unit.
    Buckingham Palace announced on Friday the King would be returning to public-facing duties following his cancer diagnosis in February and subsequent treatment.
    In a statement, the palace said: "As the first anniversary of the coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year."
