  • It was not a Hollywood ending for LeBron James & company last night... Anthony Davis tried to play through a groin strain but only lasted five and a half minutes as the Los Angeles Lakers fell to the Phoenix Suns 113 to 100. LA trailed by 22 after the first quarter and by as many as 29 in the game. LeBron finished with 29 points on 11 of 26 shooting that included 3 of 10 from long range. Hear what Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have to say about the defending champions being eliminated in the first round.

Usually I really enjoy Shannon;s commentary because it USUALLY honest and reality based. In this case he comes off silly by crediting the Lakers for Booker's success. In this case he attempts to diminish the excellent performance of Booker. The Lakers didn't allow Booker to excel, BOOKER FORCED IT ON THEM.

We all know AD is like a Top 5-10 player when healthy, but he is a liability while injured. The Lakers didn't adopt the proper mindset and they got crushed 2 straight games. And God, if we get Milwaukee vs Utah, they’re just going to pretend the NBA finals never happened and just go with topics like “what should Lebron do?” “What should Lebron’s next move be?” “Is Space Jam 2 as good as the original Space Jam?” “Can the lakers bounce back and with another championship?” And for the 1874309th time “who would you rather have take the last shot of a game, Michael or Lebron?” And “can Lebron ever surpass MJ?” Etc. But I guarantee you if Kuz goes somewhere else, he'll play just fine.

He didn't play the whole game and got taken out because he couldn't play. That remark was made for people who come on the court and play a full game and then people start making excuses.
Dude was obviously injured and the Lakers were done. Even if the Lakers continued in the playoffs they wouldn't have made it.
That comment was more made about people who are making excuses for player not playing at their best. Because people are saying its the injury. It was clear as day that AD could not play.
