Arod hit 33 HRs in 2015 at age 40 after not playing for a whole year and he did it clean. That right there tells me all I need to know about how truly great Arod was.
To be honest with you, I hadn't done my research when I typed that; I was just going off something I've heard before. That's my bad and I'll assume you're right about them going away. I agree with you that he achieved great things outside of the years he admitted to have taken steroids. I am jealous of his success, but I also dislike his reluctancy to admit to having used them and his decision to use them in the first place. That's the thing I have against Rodriguez, as well as many other players of his era, in spite of a statistically significant career. I do wish him luck in his broadcasting career with Fox Sports, though. I think he made a fantastic analyst last postseason.
As a Jays fan, I loathe A-Rod. But I respect he was one of the best ever. When I went to my only game at old Yankee Stadium in 2005, A-Rod hit a grand slam, a 3 run homer, a solo homer, and a 2 run single. He had 10 RBIs and it was truly amazing.
Not excusing his doping, but people seem to forget steroids dont magically make you an excellent batter at the plate. You still need to be skilled enough to read and react to pitches on an extremely high level to do what he did.
disagree, it helps you recover a lot faster. say you had a shitty at bat where you got jammed and it hurt a bit. steroids help that guy bounce back for the next ab or next game
2 Homers, and a grand slam, 9 RBIs off Cy Young winner Colon... absolutely ludicrous. Then he just runs around the bases like it's something you just do.
So sad. Alex Rodriguez was an excellent baseball player. He did not have to cheat. He had a God given gift to play baseball. Cheating ruined on the greatest baseball careers ever.
1:07 Im watching the documentary Screwball. In this game A Rod was on a doping program for a week and due to his 3 homer game against the royals, made him a true believer of the regiment.
That first 3 HR game was off Bartolo Colon, who won the Cy Young Award that year. Sure, he was juicing, but how many of the pitchers were? No one ever seems to talk about that. Say what you want about all the shit he pulled off the field, but he was a great player on it.
A-Rod only took steroids while playing for the Rangers. The fact that he's been able to amass incredible seasons while in Seattle and New York truly shows that he is one of the greats
el mejor pelotero de la grandes liga por encima de cualquier pelotero gringo no me importa lo que se metió alex rodriguez a mi nadie me dice en la otra época que se metían esos pelotero que tanto le dan gloria porque no había control como ahora.
He was so good at Seattle, no idea why he took roids later in life. He did say he first took them when he went to Texas because he felt pressured to do well after that huge contract. If true, he should have more confidence in himself.

Antwon Jenkins exactly raw talent. Still takes skill to hit a ball coming at you at 95 mph
You're never entirely clean after you've cheated. Steroids don't disappear after you've taken them.

Watching Arod hit 3 homeruns off of Colon was super exciting.

When Arod was on he was the best hitter in the Majors no doubt.

Alex Rodriguez made the ML and Media look very small in 2015. A-Rod the best player in this game.

The best part of this video is seeing Aaron Hicks in a different uniform. Those were the good old days.
He also had 3-homer games as a player for the Seattle Mariners & Texas Rangers.
So sad. Alex Rodriguez was an excellent baseball player. He did not have to cheat. He had a God given gift to play baseball. Cheating ruined on the greatest baseball careers ever.
A-Rod, Ken Griffey Jr, Manny Ramirez, Mike Trout, and Bryce Harper have the smoothest swings I’ve ever seen

California made a note of that 2005 3 HR, 9 RBI game. During the 2005 ALDS they beaned him twice and walked him six times.

An A-Bomb for A-Rod

Steroids where working GD those nights
aaron judge is doing that a s he not on ped!!!!!! just gifted big 6'7 282 with 13hr hitting 313 with 26 rbi and 26 r
Top five Greatest yankee ever. If this was all steroids then why didn’t everyone take them and perform like this?
True steroids dont make you a better hitter. But....with extra power routine fly balls can turn into home runs
I wonder what his career would have been like if he never got caught doing steroids.
He might've been taking steroids since high school so there really is no way to know.
Justin Roscoe He would've never missed a season..
That game against the royals he was on roids
El mejor coño
roids but sold good.
Ok get a new line announcer, dont need to say the same thing 3 times lmao
Alex Roidriguez the Lance Armstrong of baseball. You get it? Roid as in steROIDs
John Sterling is easily the worst announcer of all time.
Why?
