This was DePatie-Freleng's first cartoon series produced specifically for TV. Only 20 half-hours were produced, but NBC scheduled it for three seasons on Saturday mornings at 9am(et), from 1966 through '69. "THIS is a job for Super Bwoing?"
They should've added a line crediting Mirisch Rich Productions to the end card. Or, added the Mirisch Rich logo that was used on The Rat Patrol. Since Mirisch Rich was a co-producer on Super 6.
Super Scuba, Granite Man, and Elevator Man are not really flying heroes, and Scuba is a fast swimmer. So they only fly in the titles... but it's simply funny how Super Bwoing has a face splat landing and blows up trying to fly without his super Bwoinger.
I'm looking at the outro of "The Super 6" and I see some familiar names: Gerry Chiniquy,Hawley Pratt,Norm McCabe,Robert McKimson,George Singer,John W. Dunn,Dale Hale,Michael O'Connor,Don Jurwich,Lee Mishkin,Corny Cole,Bob Givens,Lin Larsen,Jacques Rupp,Dale Case,Herman Cohen,Arthur Leonardi,Bob Matz,Lee Halpern,Manny Gould,Don Williams,Lee Gunther,Chuck McCann,Tom Yakutis,William Lava,Armand Shaw and Harry Love. I guess DFE really had to stick to their budget,huh?
Several of them had worked on "THE NEW 3 STOOGES" for Dick Brown's Cambria Studios the previous year {Diamond, Brightman, Miller, Rupp, Wood]. Marty Murphy later designed the characters for Hanna-Barbera's "WAIT TILL YOUR FATHER GETS HOME".
