    Everyone loves a good garlic bread with a cheesy dip! But often we feel we cannot bake a garlic bread at home due to unavailability of oven or the precision of time or temperature required. So sharing today the recipe of a garlic bread that you can easily do without any oven in a kadhai!
    I shall be sharing the recipe of a garlic bread and also how you can make a plain and a stuffed garlic bread. Along with these I shall also be sharing the recipe of a Cheesy dip to accompany the garlic bread. And the best part- the plain garlic bread costs you less than 30 rupees when you make it at home!

    Recipe :
    Garlic Bread
    Preparation Time: 20 minutes + proving time
    Cooking Time: 20 minutes
    Serves: 3-4
    Ingredients:
    For 2 Breads:
    ¼ cup warm water
    1 Tsp sugar
    1 Tsp yeast
    2 cup flour maida
    ½ tsp salt
    2 tbsp oil
    For Garlic Butter:
    1 Tsp Oregano
    1 Tsp chilli flakes
    1 Tsp garlic powder
    10-12 cloves garlic
    50g butter
    2 tbsp chopped coriander
    For Stuffing:
    2 Tbsp butter
    2 Tbsp chopped coriander
    100 gm mozzarella cheese
    1 tsp oregano
    1 tsp chilli flakes
    ¼ cup sweet corn
    ¼ cup chopped capsicum
    1 tsp Peri Peri masala
    For Cheese Dip:
    ½ cup Milk
    4 cheese slice
    1 tsp flour
    Salt
    1 tbsp butter
    Method:
    Dissolve the sugar and yeast and ¼ cup warm water and set aside for 10 minutes till the mixture turns frothy.
    In a large bowl take the flour, salt, garlic powder, garlic water & yeast mixture. Add more water as required to knead to a smooth dough. Knead the dough well for 7-8 minutes. Rest the dough for 40-50 minutes till the dough has doubled in size.
    For the garlic butter, microwave the garlic or cook it with a little oil on low heat for 4-5 minutes. Mash the garlic and mix with the butter, chopped parsley, oregano, red chili flakes and mix well.
    For the stuffing: mix all ingredients well. Season to taste.
    For cheese dip, heat butter and add the flour. Cook till the butter is foamy. Add the milk and mix well till a smooth mixture is obtained. Cook till the mixture begins to thicken. Remove from fire. Add the cheese slices and mix well till the cheese is completely incorporated.
    Now check the dough. If it has doubled in size, divide into 2 parts. Roll out the dough to a circle of 7-8 inches. Brush liberally with garlic butter. Fold over to resemble a half moon.
    Score with a sharp knife.
    Roll out the second part of the dough to a circle of 7-8 inches. Brush liberally with garlic butter. Place the stuffing in the centre. Fold over to resemble a half moon.
    Score with a sharp knife.
    Heat a kadhai. Spread 1 cup salt at the bottom. Place a ring mould in it. Cover and pre heat for 15 minutes.
    Brush a baking tray or thali with oil. Dust with flour. Place the prepared garlic bread over it. Keep the plate in the kadhai. Cover and cook over medium heat till the garlic bread rises to double and is lightly browned. Remove from the kadhai and brush the bread immediately with garlic butter. Rest for 5 minutes. Cut and serve with the garlic dip.
