@@multechpro7151 on the over head press he didnt set the bar on his chest first and then push, he threw the bar up to his face and continued with the motion up. So he technically lost. Other guy set bar each time and locked out arms.

It's weird how they were super strict about Faceless' pullups but had no problem with accepting Thomas Faber's pullups even though on many reps his chin didn't even go over the bar, or at least that's what it looked like when watching his battle.

Yep 100% dodgy judges. At 5:10 Matt's last chin up barely made the underside of the bar, but was still classed as acceptable, where the Faceless done the same thing it was classed as a no lift.

yes I have seen his video and I totally understand whare is he coming from, he is part of the big corporation of strength wars so he want be complaining about them. they say they have strict rules but with all this people making video during the battle it all looks sketchy hard to say what the competors are doing,. but oh well hope thay will be much fairer in the future. faceless you are the best amazing inspiration 😊😊😊

I watched this video at 0.25x speed and taken the screenshots as well when faceless was doing pull up's, he was doing clean pullups. Infact faceless was doing good pull up's as compare to other fighters in Quarter Final.

Awesome battle in the end.
But this match also shows one of the reasons I think pullups are so stupid to include in Strength Wars. The judging of them is so inconsistent and arbitrary down to minor perceptions. Every match someone gets stuck despite the pullups seeming just as good as another match where they were accepted.
Better to stick with exercises that have more objectively judged reps.

Agree and disagree. See, if you remove bodyweigth exercices, athletes no longer need to care about beeing allround athletes and can just keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger because it will be just like another variant of a powerlifting or strongman competition, and after a few months you'll just see the first 3 places being takken by the likes of Eddie Hall, halfthor, and brian shaw. Bodyweight will just became a gigantic advantage.I do agree that the judjing needs to improve a LOT.Regards

If I were Strength wars, wanting Seba to lose would be the last thing I would want. Because let's face it (no pun intended) - nothing will bring more views and subscriptions than the video with Anabolic Horse vs The Faceless in the final.
Eon It may have been something more isolated. It's not in the best interests of the organization, but it's something other competitors would benefit from greatly. The man to beat The Faceless... If anything, Strength Wars could put him to the side for a while and bank on his epic return.

Why didn't you guys count so many of these pullups? The upper part of the movement looked ok, was it because of some mini jumps at the start of the move, some leg drive or sth? It does not look very fair from the video to be honest
Michal Papciak the worst thing is they didn't say why. Even to Seba. He comments on his channel that he did 8 pull ups but then they counted 4. He had no opportunity to eliminate mistakes on time and make "proper" pull ups.
Did you hear'no legs?' This was a few times to hear. In the last exercise u can use ur legs to push the weight up but not so with pull ups I think - u dont jump into pull ups in quater finals with strict rules(as said in the first two quarters).
Michal Papciak he didn't perform these first 8 pullups jumping on because he did them without stopping. And he says that on his channel.
Just look at 5:50, by the time he did 20+ pull ups he could have known the rules, yet another rep not counted...
I believe they were saying 'legs'. I think he was swinging his legs a bit by the end because he was so exhausted from doing 20 reps of weighted pull-ups. He really should have lost this battle but somehow won. with those epic cleans.

That was so intense! I loved it! The crowd was so loud and cheering on. That was just neck at neck battle. Matt is so young and incredibly strong that's crazy. For him to give faceless a run for his money that's amazing. However faceless comes back with the win again. I love your guys videos and I do want to say this was the most intense battle I've seen so far. Hope to see more to come.

I believe the problem was that his legs were not straight, meaning he did a small whipping motion to propel himself upwards. It is a bit hard to notice in the video.
Of course the faceless deserved to win but you can't deny that the pull ups from the other guy were much cleaner and better

All of Matt's pullups were perfect so I have no idea what you are talking about. Matt's chin was way over the bar and legs were straight. The judges were fair to not count a few of Faceless's pullups because he was trying to us his legs to thrust him up. They were definitely not straight.
