Where people?
Home may be
Not the safest area around and most people avoid norfolk
@@jeffr5506 Not True. I live in Norfolk. I have been going downtown for many years, at all hours of day, and night, and have never had any problems. There might be one or two days a month where the vibe seems off, but even then, it's still pretty safe, as long as you use common sense. As for the lack of people, there are a few things going on. First, as I write this comment, there is a global pandemic going on and because of it, people just don't get out as much anymore. Also, the Hampton Roads aria (the 7 cities, ect) has a plethora of walkable pedestrian zones spread throughout the region to choose from. The "crowd" tends to bounce around these areas, and would typically be found where most of the events are going on at the time. Also, many tourists can tell you everything about Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg, but they can't find Norfolk on a map, despite Norfolk being the regions hub. Norfolk doesn't really advertise itself. I remember living in Florida, and seeing adds for Virginia Beach on tv.
@@kazeryu17 Bot true of what you’re saying at all. Ppl do avoid Norfolk it was ranked one of the most dangerous cities in America out of 65 others. Now it’s too dangerous like Richmond, DC, Bmore, Philly or Chicago but it’s not that safe either
@@JabrenHarris98 Just because a city makes it onto a list, doesn't mean that the city is uniformly dangerous. There are dangerous parts of Norfolk, and there are parts (like downtown), that are very safe. I have walked around downtown for exercise at 3:00am many times, and never had any problems, aside from the occasional begger, and they are pretty rare around 3:00am. Most of the people who avoid Norfolk, do so because they are racist, or ignorant. Even durring the downtown crime wave that happened earlier this year, I still found downtown norfolk to be safer then every other downtown I have been to, and I have been to many cities, all over the US. Most of the violent crime that happens in norfolk is drug/gang related, and is generally restricted to certain neighborhoods. For the most part, the worst thing you have to worry about downtown, is having your car broken into, because you left something expensive in plain view, and your more likely to have that happen to you in any Walmart parking lot. There's always the risk of being in the wrong place, At the wrong time, like Sierra Jenkins, but that incident could happen anywhere, including the safest city in America, and is extremely rare for downtown Norfolk. If you travel to Virginia, perhaps you would feel safer at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Virginia Beach(right next to Norfolk)ranked as the safest big city in America in 2020. Despite this, your more likely to become a crime victim at the oceanfront, then you are in downtown Norfolk. How so? Virginia beach is the most populated city in Virginia, so the crime that happens at the oceanfront, is canceled out by the lack of crime in the suburbs. This comment brought to you by an informed local, who actually gets out of the house, and not somone who just looks up statistics on google.
I wish all countries ppl wear no mask like USA !!
I know
