I appreciate that you actually name the ingredients and explain what you're doing. So many ""cooking influencers" only want to show off their skills, their kitchens, their lives, their looks, etc... rather than sharing the actual recipe of what they're cooking in the video

This is actually a dish known as Llapingachos(quechua for smashed and fried), which originated from the Andes of Ecuador in the city of Ambato. As the dish spread in popularity variations like this one are now cooked in many different countries.

Trust me when I say, these were amazing! I was looking for a quick snack to make when I came across these, and for once, I actually had the ingredients (lol). I'm not a very good cook but first time making these and they were so good! I had trouble forming the dough but honestly, that was just me. These didn't take too long either, actually quick and easy. Plus, my mom isn't usually a fan of the recipes I try after seeing online but she loved them too. I am for sure making these again! Thank you so much for the recipe! ❤🤤

I decided to make it as a study snack and it was so good! I used all purpose flour as a substitute and it was still delicious the sugar gave it a hint of sweetness and its best dipped in some spicy sauce for me 😋😋😋

The salt doesn’t just add “flavor” it increases the amount of heat needed to bring to a boil. Not only, it’s used as a preservative to kill bacteria.
