Thank you CZcams, for recommending this video the day after i finished editing 13 songs the hard way...
Always the way...
Bro. I spent an hour on a 3 min guitar track and that was just one di!!! You're a hero. 😂
You are a godsend. I cannot thank you enough.
Holy crap, this is extremely helpful! I'm terrible at double-tracking, so this will help get all of those little "ug, that's not quite right" out of there. Awesome, thank you!
Subbed, Straight to the point no bullshit and exactly what I wanted. THanks for the video

Jeez. That easy huh? Ive wasted entire evenings. Thank you.
It’s ok man. I felt the same when I discovered it too. Pass it forward 😂
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT
Cheers Mucker!!!
This is really cool thank you! However when I try this as soon as I hit "SPLIT" it cuts out the silent parts of the waveform and then it bunches up all of the transients together... not exactly like what you did.. Am I missing something? Thanks
Thats very good to know.. dam.. :) the time ive spent....
So I guess you are using a pro tools theme? In reaper....
Are these functions built in or do the need to be added or set up in reaper. I'm genuinely so excited about what you just shared I'm having a too good to be true moment
When I was shown that tool I did the same! Yeah man, a pro tools theme, everything is built in and ready to go! just google pro tools reaper theme!
You know you can do this is pro tools also? I been thinking about switching to reaper for midi reasons. I would love to see what the program can do that pro tools can’t edit wise.
@@evenformway too many to talk about 😂
Hey man, can you make a tutorial on how I get my Reaper to look like yours?
thx and awesome video!
Hi buddy, sorry for the slow response. As you may have noticed, I'm not making vids at the mo, but... Google protools Reaper theme. It'll take you to the Reaper forum, find the most up to date version. As soon as you click on the download it will self install!
Nice video. Will help me a ton. I have a request. I play fast metalcore and I have some fast trem picked parts where both guitars and play together and I need to edit them so that they are nice and tight. Can you make a video on how you would do that? I can't really find a video on this ANYWHERE.
It's a tricky one with trem, you can quantize the tracks (item processing, quantize) but they will need to be performed tight in the first place. If you want it to sound perfect, record the trem isolated in a new project 10bpm slower, when you copy and paste them in, Reaper will match the tempo to your original project. Bit of a cheat, but so is quantize!
Yoo this is sick. Anyone have an idea on how to do this in Logic Pro?
how to reduce the fingers sound when you change the chord in the guitar???? I have this problem...
Was that your mix in the intro bro?
It was indeed man, released that track about a year ago!
OMG this is cheating! I love it!
fuck i will never listen to WASTED YEARS hahahaha. awesome
ooooh......
