I love my faux locs!! I get them done all the time. I paid around $140 and that’s for the hair, paying my stylist and the tip. It really depends on where you’re located 💕
I have a pretty full head of hair and I only needed 3 packs of loc hair for 24 inches and I think it feels perfectly full. Not too heavy, not too thin. I did not want bulky, heavy, weighty hair.
Nice!!! I love to hear that! 🥰🥰
Thank you for getting to the point in each section 😊
You’re welcome ❤️❤️
I’m getting this hairstyle on Saturday .. and I am wearing a bonnet half way threw my 3/2 months. Except at school this was very helpful.. thank you so much for these tips because I needed it and I may be getting 23 inches and this is different of what I was watching and thank you so much for the tips of the hairstyle .!
You’re so welcome love.
Thanks for making this video! I am getting soft locs installed in a couple weeks. This style looks great on you!
🥰thank you so much!! locs hit different.
Thank you so MUCH!! Needed this 👍🏽
You’re welcome. 🥰
I have 18 inches which is a little longer than shoulder length on me and I love them! Bought big bonnet off amazon and put up in bun sometimes
Will pay to get them taken out 😊
Very helpful information...Thank you
Definitely gonna do this myself😂😂 I can’t picture myself paying over 100 dollars when I can do it myself 😫😫
Just have patience with yourself when you do them and give yourself a day or two to give your arm and hands a rest.
If you purchase the hair from Amazon you’ll spend about $50/$60
The locs or wrapping hair?
@@Stylesbymichal for both, the locs and wrapping hair
@@Stylesbymichal in the beauty supply store you pay for the brands name, on amazon you get the same hair bundled without the brand
Right only spent 50 on hair and jam
I wished I watched this video before getting my soft locs. I love them but it's very hard to sleep with this style 😫😫
Very hard to sleep in. I think a shorter length next time will work better.
I got the 3 pack of freetress 20 inch locs from Amazon for 30 bucks, plus one pack of the outre spring twist is between 8-12 bucks
It depends on the brand and style of the locs and wrapping hair your prefer.
I went to my local beauty store and bought some 2 packs of spring twist and 2 packs of nu locks and it cost me $60 bucks. It just depends on the brand you buy. Mines came out nice and not too bulky with the new method floating around on CZcams on how to achieve Flat soft locs
It also depends on the amount you want. I just wanted a fuller flat look. I’m glad you’re came out the way you wanted. ❤️
Extremely helpful. Appreciate it
You’re very welcome. ❤️
I got waist length textured locs and I’ve had them in for 5 weeks now. The length is definitely starting to get a lil heavy & the fuzzies are annoying. I’m gonna cut mine to bra strap length to see if that helps.
What do you suggest for covering it when sleeping
Bonnet or scalf
How to shower slapped . About to do mine
Thank you sis I got 24inch ,first time trying it's alil discomforting but they should feel better after a fewdays ,I took a shower with a jumbo bonnet it was okay
It’s fine for the first & second week. Then my head scalp started to feel pulled on.
@@Stylesbymichal omg I'll keep a look out for that cause I want to keep them in for a while get my money's worth lol
Happy Monday !! I wished I would have viewed this video first. My head feels so heavy !! Any suggestions on the best oils to place on my scalp ? Great video !!❤️👠🐘
Thank you. ❤️❤️ I prefer light oils for my scalp. Either jojoba oil, almond oil. I use rosemary oil for stimulating my scalp. I recommend to place the oil not directly on the scalp but on the hair as close to the scalp as possible.
Growology makes a nice growth serum for the edges and scalp
OIL YOUR SCALP!!! The last thing you want is for your scalp to get dry. Synthetic hair will dry your scalp.
Thanks Brandi !! I found a really good hair oil made by Aunt Jackie !! It smells amazing!!❤️
What type of shampoo do you use for you soft locs?
There are braid shower caps now
I love your install technique. Can you tell me how you take them down?
I have a video on my channel on taking on the soft locs 🥰
@@Stylesbymichal Thank you. I’ll check it out.
I shower fine with mine. I just wrap mine in a bun and I don’t tie it up for the shower, I like the steam to my scalp.
What length was yours?
150$? Waaaaaay to much!! 24 inches 6 packs and wrapping hair.. 30 bucks
Where would that be?
I also questioned this amount-how did you actually spend $150 on a style with synthetic hair and still have to install yourself? I'm legit not getting it.
Down south it’s cheaper
@@Stylesbymichal amazon
Yeah that’s ridiculous
I would definitely suggest not getting them wet. Some people love this style for vacation but once you leave the beach your head is heavy! Maybe different brands are better
This is definitely true
Do you have a braid bonnet or shower cap? Usually when I have long braids sleeping and showering is not a hassle when I get a braid bonnet and shower cap
I have a jumbo size shower cap. I tried using braid bonnets in the past but its still uncomfortable for me to sleep in since I like to sleep on my back.
@@Stylesbymichal ok makes sense
I had someone do my soft locs. $40 for the hair. $120 for the install. 5 packs of 18” locs and 1 pack of 24” wrapping hair (I got a loc bob style)
that sounds pretty.
I got great hair from Amazon -$40
Have someone take it out for you. Take care of your scalp. The longer the heavier
About 1/2 this price of you purchase from Amazon guys…
Hi! Does the hair shed when you let it down?
No it doesn’t.
Mine does. Every time I let it out of the bonnet to style or so there's alot of small hair on the floor. I washed it yesterday after having it in for 7 wks and thought that would have helped. I'm not sure if it's the hair used to wrap it the soft locs itself.
Do y’all have problems with it falling out??
Not at all.
Disagree! I never spent that much gettin these done. U have to find good bargains for the hair. Here it's $12 bag and I get 3-4 Bobbi boss packs and 1 Cuban twist. Paid $90 to get done . This my fav braid style-yes lightweight-down t break my hair. I only do mid back length
Well it was my first time and I wanted to be safe and have enough then not enough. But I know the longer the length the more money.
How many locs do you have in total?
75
@@Stylesbymichal damn
I paid $150 for someone to install it. Plus the hair packs.
Nice 🥰
Honestly it is difficult to sleep with darling 😅
very
Naaaaaa bruh! 2 jumbo packs of pre-made locs ($9.99 ea), latch hook (under $3) and no wrapping hair needed! Iono where she live but that price point is out of this world 🤯
I know better for next time. Lol it was my first time using this hair to achieve that look.
@@Stylesbymichal ...and you did AN AMAZING JOB!!! No discounting that girl. You DID THAT! I LOVE how at your roots, it looks fuzzy/furry like as if it's your own natural hair loc'd up!.. but yeah girl, save that extra money 💪
