The blu restaurant was the best part of my cruise. I was on the Infinity ship in October of the year and was so glad that I did the aqua class upgrade.
Totally agree we really enjoyed Blu and I liked that, at least on our cruise the staff mostly stayed the same too so they got to know us! I would definitely do AquaClass again too! Happy Travels Lorraine! 🦩
Sailed the Apex in January 2024. As Aqua class, you can eat in Blu and order any item from any of the other MDR restaurants. I checked all the menus every day, and tried special items from Cosmopolitan one night. And we never had to wait in line at Blu. We were seated immediately with the same wait staff each night.
My only disappointment was that my lobster on lobster night didn't come with butter to dip it in because it had something healthier to dip it in. I'm addicted to butter so i asked for it and they went all the way to another restaurant to get me some. And a second lobster 😁 okay I'll admit it - a third one too
We have done Aquaclass a few times and most recently on the Apex in Greece. We really enjoyed Blu and had dinner there a couple of times and breakfast once. It was excellent and fantastic service, only 501 passengers on our ship in September so we really got to know the wait staff very well. We liked the other 4 MDRs and tried each of them as well, I think it gives a specialty restaurant vibe. I did like the yoga mat in the room and used it every morning in the gym for stretching.
Wow only 500 guests. That would have felt like a private ship. Yes we also liked the four MDRs. Good idea taking the yoga mat to the gym to stretch. Clearly not your first cruise 😉
@@TravelingFlamingo Yes, number 34 is in two days on Oceania in the Southern Caribbean for 12 days, just did my home proctored Emed test two hours ago and negative, Yay!!
@@TravelingFlamingo, I was really partial to Normandie but also enjoyed Cyprus. The sommelier there was excellent. He kept my Cakebread cellars Pinot Noir glass full at all times. Nice!
Just an FYI if you stay in the Retreat you also have access to BLU as well as most of the specialty restaurants for no charge but it also varies with the rooms in the retreat.
On the MSC Virtuosa we had the Aurea Experience which seems to be the equivalent of Aqua Class on Celebrity cruises. With Aurea there is also a dedicated restaurant and we had the same waiter each time who was excellent. Is it the same service in Blu?

We did enjoy it but I don’t think we took full advantage of it. One of the main perks is access to Blu restaurant. On the edge class ships there are 4 main dining rooms with different themes and we wanted to try all of them. So if you plan on eating in the MDR it might not be worth it. You also have access to the thermal suit which was nice so if you use that it would be good. Hope that helps 😊

We dined in all 4 MDR‘s on Apex in late October and loved them all. But my dream is to do Blu. Hopefully on our next sailing.

Hi! Do you need to pay extra in blu or meal are free if you are in aqua class?
The meals are included. It is a very nice dining venue. We highly recommend checking out if you have paid for aqua class.
If you are in Aqua Class can you still go to dinner in the Main Dining Room, Or do you HAVE to dine in Blu?

Unfortunately there aren’t any views :( the windows are the same deck as the lifeboats.
Big laugh at doubling up at restaurants. I will do the same and also regret nothing!
