In the next part of my Madhya Pradesh series, I visited the famous Kachnar City Shiv Temple in Jabalpur on the second day of my trip. This temple boasts a 73-foot tall statue of Lord Shiva, crafted from the renowned white marble found near Bhedaghat. Built in 2001 and opened to the public in 2006, the temple's spacious campus features replicas of the 12 Jyotirlingas beneath Lord Shiva's statue, offering a serene atmosphere that left me feeling deeply peaceful.
After spending some time at Kachnar City Shiv Temple, I headed to Gwarighat. I explored the ghat for a while before taking a boat ride to visit the Gwarighat Gurudwara situated on the opposite bank. From there, I enjoyed a wide-angle view of Gwarighat before returning to the ghat to witness the Narmada Aarti, held every evening at 7:30 PM.
As darkness fell and the ghat lights illuminated the surroundings, I couldn't resist experiencing the breathtaking view once again. I embarked on another boat ride, marveling at the beauty of the scene. The Narmada Aarti commenced, and I had the privilege of participating in this soul-stirring ceremony, concluding an unforgettable experience.
