    Wow, I had no idea and that was a really great video! You need to do more "how to's" in the future. How you select your airbnb's, how you chose your travel route, how did you prepare for language barriers to different countries, etc. Very cool video and as always, I enjoyed it greatly!

      Thank you so much Jan!! We're going to try & incorporate this into most of our videos going forward. We want to try & give as much information as we can in order to help people prepare for any travel they're looking to do, & MAN are the credit cards a boost. Get ready for a whole lot more How-To content!!!!😊

      When I told Hannah about your haircut tip, she HOWLED laughing🤣 It's definitely getting REALLY long at this point. I have urges every once in awhile to cut it, but I'm just going to keep letting it grow just to see what it looks like. Thank you so much for watching & we're so glad you enjoyed this vlog!! We wanted to show some more of our life before we left for this trip & seeing the pictures/videos definitely sent us down memory lane!

    Great video. I also want to travel full time. I’m taking away a number of these to help me except credit card game; I’m in Canada, and we don’t get a lot great offers like in US. I hope you do videos like this one. How you plan your travels or book your accommodations now that hotels or Airbnb are a lot more expensive or detailed advice on keeping your costs of travel low (are you guys budget travellers?).

      We COMPLETELY agree!! We love the CSP. I (Trey) actually had it for years before we made this plan & it's helped us with a vacation to Colorado & Puerto Rico. It's amazing how much you can do with travel credit cards as long as you keep them under control🤣 thank you so much for tuning in & for leaving the kind words!! It means the world to us!!

    The air mile hack is not available in the UK unfortunately. Credit cards are not so generous. Luckily air routes are so competitive you can almost always find a great price going somewhere. Also, twice we have sold everything we owned and moved to the other side of the planet and its surprisingly freeing!

    • @COMEINTOMYWORLD
      @COMEINTOMYWORLD Před rokem +3

      If you have a Nectar card (free!) in the UK then you can convert spends in a huge amount of places, notably massive supermarket chain Sainsburys, into Avios points which can be used on BA and other airlines. Also American Express UK offers travel rewards. And Tesco, the biggest UK brand, offers their clubcard members (again free to join) huge travel rewards with their partners in their extensive travel program from Eurostar to high end hotels.

      Ahh Hayden we're so glad you found our channel!! The best thing you can do is start learning about this stuff early & you definitely are! Just continue to save, study, & work towards it. If you're interested in working full-time while abroad, then try & study for careers that allow you to be remote as well (i.e. graphic design, coding, website development). These will be able to provide you plenty of income while you're traveling too. Best of luck & feel free to ask us questions if you ever need help. Thank you so much for watching our video!!!

    Hey, great video! I really liked how you wrote the steps as part of your video, really helped. I am looking to start to travel full time and was wondering how you can afford to travel full time, is youtube your income combined with the travel hacks or do you have another way to make income? Thank you and best of luck to you!

    • @ProbablyLost
      @ProbablyLost  Před rokem +2

      Hi Valeria!!! I'm so glad you found our channel!! So as far as income, we originally planned not to have it & just leave our jobs. However right as we were leaving, Hannah's employer asked her to stay on part-time for a period in order to help them with transition. It's only a part-time role but I'd be lying if I said it didn't help us. However we still having to use savings too. We thankfully don't have to dip into it nearly as much had she not gotten the opportunity for part-time. In any case, it's still VERY possible to do this without any type of income! We don't make very much money off of CZcams at all right now (around $150 per month), so savings is what keeps us going for the most part. If you'd like to get a little bit more background on who we are then feel free to check out our Q&A vlog that we did a few months back! czcams.com/video/7XWfQXij_hg/video.html

    Interesting video. However, it's not REALLY "FULL-TIME" travel, at least not forever. If you are spending more than you earn, than eventually you'll have to stop. So I would think step 1 of planning is to determine HOW LONG you want to travel for. Obviously if you don't want to be as cheap, the time is shorter. Also, I assume you don't want to spend all of your savings, otherwise when you are done, you'll be broke with no home or possessions or job. That's the other thing one needs to consider, once you're done traveling, how much savings you'll need to support yourself til you can get another job. If one really want's to travel FULL-TIME indefinitely, they'd need to find a part-time job that can be done remotely. Or a nice sponsor. Also, credit card hacks will only get you so far. Signing up for too many cards in a short amount of time can hurt your credit score. Many card sign up bonuses are only allowed every 2 or 4 years. Another area to cut costs is while traveling ofcourse. The most common thing (that is often expensive, at least in the US) that I see in your videos is alcohol and coffee. Ofcourse everyone has different priorities in this area.
    Anyways, I guess it depends on ones true travel goals. If one just wants to see the world, one could get a full time job that pays enough for you to take many intl trips a year. You're not full time and you're paying more for the cost for long distance flights, but you can still visit many places and aren't paying for a hotel or airbnb every day. I'm sure there are lot of happy mediums that don't involve selling everything and being away full-time. I've been to about 70 countries and I've found there are many places that are nice to visit but not nice to live in.
