Feral hogs are a invasive species in Texas. Hogs cause millions of dollars in damage in the form of damaged crops, contaminated water supplies, broken equipment, transmission of diseases and injury to livestock.
Feral swine compete with native wildlife for multiple resources, specifically food, habitat, and water. Feral swine diets overlap with those of native wildlife, such as bear, deer, and turkey, which results in competition for important and limited natural food supplies. Feral swine activity will often deter other species from living in an area, resulting in competition over prime habitat. Feral swine wallow in mud to maintain proper body temperature which can be particularly problematic during dry seasons when they monopolize and contaminate limited water sources.
Feral swine also prey directly on the nests, eggs, and young of native ground nesting birds and reptiles, including threatened or endangered species. Game birds such as wild turkeys, grouse, and quail can also be impacted. Feral swine have even been documented killing and eating deer fawns, and actively hunting small mammals, frogs, lizards, and snakes.
Feral hogs wallows are prime mosquito habitat which contributes to the prevalence of various mosquito-borne diseases. Wallows can also be a place of transmission for bacteria and parasites from feral hogs to native wildlife that come to drink.
Due to their intelligence, adaptability, and prolific breeding habits, traditional methods of hunting and trapping have been largely ineffective in reducing the feral hog population. The introduction of night vision and thermal optics has greatly increased landowners' ability to mitigate the destruction caused by feral hogs.
Feral swine are not considered game animals in Texas and may be hunted by any means or methods at any time of year.

This is not a how to video, this is more a documentary on a very effective way to remove feral hogs from farms and ranches. This is extremely dangerous you must know your property, and surroundings. I am telling you now not to try this. Lots of people do not like to take any risk I understand that you do not have to point out how dangerous this is. Also we laugh and joke while killing these large rats, if you are sensitive to that do not watch, just like you don’t want to hear us laugh we do not want to hear your sniveling. And finally what do we do with the pigs??? We kill them that’s it nothing more nothing less.

Love it! Looks like a very effective way to get rid of pigs. And full auto would be mandatory! A new bucket list item! I hunt mostly on the edge of jungles here in FL. Not the kind of terrain for high speed chases in ATVs.
They’re such a nuisance and they do so much freaking damage. Tons of them up by Amarillo tearing wheat and sorghum up.

First of, I'd like to thank you for many hours of fun videos, there is something about your work that just looks like it would be a great past-time if I lived further south.
Secondly, I want you to know that my questions are not in any way to inquire about how much income you make, it is none of my business and I do not suffer from envy of other peoples' success. My questions are more about how pest eradication works, because as I have watched your videos I have learned a little info here, a little there, and it doesn't seem clear to me yet.
When I first began watching, my assumption was "okay, he does pest eradication and that is how he makes a living." Then I learned that some land owners actually charge people to hunt pigs on their land.
Next, I saw your video about taking pig kills to a dog food plant, and correctly or not I assumed that maybe this was a source of income for you. Then I saw that you bought or created your store for selling optics and such.
Again, I don't have any interest in your income, but I am scratching my head as to how pest eradication works as a business model.
As an aside, I picked up a 6.8 upper and will be putting together a deer/hog rifle. Would love to visit Texas at some point and participate in a night hunt. Or at least just visit your store and say hello. Take care,
