As a hunter, I was thinking, "This is not a good way to hunt. Very unethical.", but as someone who also understands these are an invasive species that need controlled, I thought, "How can I sign up to do this?".

Slugs are not as powerful as people think
Hogs are tough SOB! Lots of omnivores are just as tough as straight predators. Its those vegetarians that go down on a dime😂
@Dangerousoldman you'd probably want a 375 h&h mag or 300 win mag at minimum for grizzlies imho. Shotguns are just too much lead and not enough umph if you know what I mean.
The barrel on his shotgun I believe is only 14.5". It's possible that the velocity drop out of a shorter barrel like that is playing a factor on those bigger tougher pigs.
Not one slug hit a hog while it was still running...impossible to survivethat much 12 gauge energy..probably the slug went high while the wad still hit

I'm absolutely amazed at how the Hogs group up and how they can be manipulated to stay together. I'm in the Great Lakes region and we have a Coyote infestation. I have encountered multiple packs of coyote coming in at the same time. It's pure pandemonium when this happens. (Which is very seldom) The last time this happened I was running Night Vision and not thermal. It was so hard to keep focus on a single "Song Dog" cause they were all running in every direction. Needless to say I actually managed to get 3 of the 11 yotes. I was thankful to get that many after experiencing that "CLUSTER"....

My ancesters, like great grandparents era and I'm 62, used to talk about going out on horse back hunting feral pig. That's how they raised them instead of a pen--just let them go and hunt them later. I do believe this was common practice and thus the reason we have the feral pig issue we have today.

love it! between 40-50 seconds you are shooting? a huge hog did not see him go down. Did he? if yes, how big was he? Dont think I saw any blood anywhere. Are you editing that out? What do you think the max range is- on a medium to large hog for these slugs? Do you like slugs as much as etc?
He was hit, he was also the last hog killed in the video. He was trailing those last three hogs because he was wounded.
With any other game, this would have triggered me. Knowing how feral hogs impact farm and livestock land... I don't have a heart for them.

Need A semi-auto shotgun with A "Duck Bill" fitted. SEALs used them as paddy guns in Vietnam the horizontal dispersal was apparently great cutting through the thick vegetation. In this context flat dispersal would mean more hits on target. The hitch was the "Duckbill" required #4 shot.

Change out the slugs for buckshot and they run a lot less after impact. We do this, but in an airboat in the Louisiana marsh.

These hogs have really gotten out of control, these things go after small calf's and eats them while they are still alive. Hogs do poss a huge problem for farmers trying to protect their livestock .
