- When a Frontier Airlines flight from Orlando to Knoxville was canceled at the last minute, 13 stranded strangers decided to rent a van to get to their destination. Instead of memorizing all 13 names, they were each assigned a number to ensure no one would accidentally be left at a rest stop. It was an exhausting journey through the night but they finally made it to Knoxville about 12 hours later. Now these strangers are already planning a reunion.
Strangers at an airport, friends for life on the road
eh not really
@@yungtooli were you there? Don't be such a wet blanket.
Bruh you gotta be able to see that this is for money right?
@@I1ght961 for money and for not wanting to wait 8 hours for the next flight.
@@0xsergy 48 hours
This is actually really cool to see a bunch of strangers band together and achieve a common goal.
Well said
Awesome story
Bundy and Dahmer agrees!
That's how life works.
Communism at its finest.
They didn’t purchased a flight. They purchased such a rare, memorable friendship. Love these people.
Wow that's an awesome comment. I love people like yourself too!
No they purchased a flight
yeah no they did purchase a flight.
Friendship is priceless.
I love seeing humans being lovely.
When I was in the military and stranded overnight at an airport, 2 school teachers decided to get a hotel room together and invited me join them for only the cost of the additional cot ($15). It was so kind of them.
Another time, my connecting flight home was canceled so my husband drove 5 hours to get me in the middle of the night. A fellow servicemember was stranded and going the same way, so we gave him a lift.
GOD BLESS YOU 😇🙏
Cool story. I was in the service as well.
It’s refreshing to see people loving each other as family! We need more of this 🤍
For real!!
@@baltazarsantossantiago1440 get a life ❤
RIGHT ON!
The question is…how do we get it?
Yes we do. I love hearing stories like this. Makes my day. 😊
Probably the girl rushing for her univ interview, doing all this just to get to that interview shows the univ how worthy of a student she is to be for them. The defiance of the odds. A plus plus points for her!
I hope she got accepted.
@@roboticdreamer she apparently got a rockstar welcome and they were lovely but she chose to go to Penn State
13 strangers coming together to accomplish 1 mission is like something out of a movie. you would never see anything like this again
Actually, thankfully, this happened again but with 4 strangers instead in the last few days. :) They were going from New York to Winnipeg.
Oh you just know Hollywood's going to pick this up and completely blow this out of proportion
Love this story, we need more positivity in this world
you mean the media needs to be more positive? Because positivity outweighs the negativity, but negativity sells better.
@@Devilish__for sure, good news hardly rates. We get what we ask for.
@@Devilish__ right on.
Wow theyre already planning a reunion for traveling together. I dont even go to my college reunion.
@@Devilish__ true
More people should do this. Its just that there's so many crazies in the world...
the good outweigh the bad that's why humans have yet to stop progressing
Totally agree with you, pornokid 💀🤣
It’s a vicious cycle though. People not doing things like this bc of fear of crazies leads to more crazies spawning which leads to more people not doing things like this, etc etc
True! I'm glad they made it safely and some kinda bad stuff didn't go down
Im scared of crazy women. Internet showed me what theyre capable of.
The holiday story I didn't know I needed. Good vibes and good people helping one another out. I love this!
SO BEAUTIFUL ♥ I LOVE THIS STORY TOO! GOD BLESS THEM ALL 😇🙏
It’s so cool to see a bunch of people befriend each other almost instantaneously, because of a common goal. The world can be so crazy now a days, it’s hard for anyone to trust another let alone drive in even an Uber. It’s so heartwarming to see them all prove to everyone there’s still good people in the world. Love this.
It's surprising how fast you can get friendly in a group. I still remember my jury duty pals and how much of a ruckus we caused during deliberations lmao
😂 sounds like a hella good time
What was the case?
Could you expand on your jury duty story?
the military is like this x10 lol
You killed my father 🤣
It's not about the destination, it's the journey that bring them together.
Ya
The friends they made along the way.
What a story, Bravo Vince!
What if the mechanical issue that needed to be repaired, was inside them all along?
@@777SkepticYes, but their been together will be not the same as this impromptu road trip that has moments & memories.
This needs to become a movie 🧐
I thought the same thing, the title sounds like it would be a great comedy film 😂
😂
You mean like Planes, Trains and Automobiles?
@@gary_rumain_you_peons A remake should be in the works based on this story. 🤣
Done, and done.
Hollywood has been completely out of ideas for about 15 years now...
That said... there will be 5 movies based off this one story.
I feel this is what life’s about, getting with random people and doing things together to achieve a goal.
I love when strangers ban together to make a situation work out !
This is how we all should be everyday !
This is the type of shyt I love to see. It's not hard to be a good person & we really need so much more of that. I honestly would not have wished for a better way to get to my destination than to meet 12 other strangers & book it to where we need to go. This was great and I'm low-key jealous that I wasn't in on their trip 😩. What a nice way to make new friendships 🤗🙌🏽🙌🏽
I wish I was in a group like this too. I love stuff like this. I would’ve been the Marine’s second hand man!
right, lifetime friendships!
@@c5cpe 🤭🤭And I would've been in charge of snacks, along with the other lady because I'm a foodie🤣🤣🤣
@@ItsMeHi116 Yessssssss. And it would be great to make this a yearly thing, where they can take a trip during the same time as this one. Although, I know some of them might have to work but it would be nice If they could take off at that time for the getaway🤷🏽♀️. But why am I making a whole plan for these people & I don't even know them🤔🤦🏽♀️? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@drekafine8831 it is hard when your life is depressing and miserable and no woman wants you.
This is definitely what I call good news. For once something positive and nobody hurt or killed. So cool! To the Marine, thank u for your services and your continued service that got 14 other people and yourself to their destination. Blessings to all of u!
🙏 AMEN 🙏 WASN'T THIS MARINE AMAZING! SHE CERTAINLY TOOK CHARGE & COMPLETED THE MISSION! HER VOICE ALONE WOULD KEEP PEOPLE IN CHECK, HAHAHA. SHE WAS GREAT 👏 😄 YES, GOD BLESS HER FOR HER SERVICE 🙏 ALSO GRATEFUL THEY MADE IT TO THEIR DESTINATION IN PLENTY OF TIME. STAY BLESSED 🙏😊
@@katymcginn4644 totally agree! Marry Christmas Katy! Hugs from afar!
I love seeing good people connect and enjoy their time regardless of a flight being cancelled
I always love seeing strangers work together and connect as if they’ve know each other for ages
Numbers vs. names was so smart! I love how they banded together and got to their destination. Really hope they stay in touch and stay friends forever.
I’ve never been brave enough to get in a car with total strangers, when experiencing travel delays. One time, our Megabus had issues halfway from SF to LA. Some strangers passing by offered rides to LA. Some folks shared an Uber. Another time an Amtrak train pulled into Philly, from DC to NYC. There was a fire on the train tracks. Didn’t do a shared Uber either. However, I definitely understand that immediate comraderie when you’re all stranded together. There’s nothing quite like the community (however fleeting) that is built over a shared struggle.
I think it would be safe with that many people.
U never got a bus ?
Well said
Whatever happened to Megabus LA routes ?
Pretty safe with a marine there.
That's what you call a community at work! Very inspirational 👏
I love when people come together like this.
Love seeing stories like this!
Agreed
Glad this ended up being a Positive Experience for them. It was a Risky Move, but it's nice they were all of the same Vibe to reach their destination.
Similar situation happened to me years before the Internet was a big thing and no cell phones. My connecting flight out of Chicago to Dubuque, IA was canceled due to a snowstorm so the airline hired a limo and myself and a bunch of young people piled in for a 4+ hour drive. We were packed like sardines. I remember one girl who told me she attended Stanford in CA and another one that was into electronic music and liked Nine Inch Nails. Made it home for Christmas, but never saw any of them again.
with a lot of violence going on in the world right now, it's so heart warming to still see kind and pure people in this world
As a proud knoxvillian it's amazing to see people band together in times of need to get to our great city.
Knoxvillian!

Homie called Knoxville great 💀💀💀
The world needs more people like these beautiful, kind , happy people !
I did something similar but we rented a helicopter instead. This is an awesome story. I love hearing about things like this. Merry Christmas everyone. This is what we need every day.
Somebody in Hollywood is definitely writing this down rn lol
HOW DID WE HAVE THE SAME THOUGHT???
A similar thing happened to me when weather canceled my train. There were a few of us who got dropped off but one guy had a car. So he offered us a ride to the bus depot in Richmond to catch the next train layover. So 5 of us piled in and we traveled together all the way to the nyc hub. It was a pretty cool experience.
nah that didn't happen
@@alboeski683 ya because i love making mundane things up for no apparent reason.

It's amazing how much you can bond being stuck in a small place for extended time.
Always a pleasure to see people working together
Someone should make a movie about this. 📽️
lol
I can imagine Hallmark making one about people getting home for Christmas!
Old people ideas a movie like that would be boring
It could have a lot of comedic aspects that's for sure! The Marine lady see's and hears everything and suddenly snaps back into mode to non-officially put the uniform back and provide a solution to the problem for all involved through effective leadership.
A netflix horror/romance/comedy..perfect lol
YES!!! More stories like this PLEASE! This type of thing happens often and we, the public, want to hear about it. 👍🏼
That's how community and family is made......... these people will come through for each other when help is needed love this kind of stories
This warms my heart. We need more stories like these.
What was a stressful situation seems to have turned out to be a great adventure and brought strangers together. This is a story of people banding together to help each other and that doesn't happen as much as it should. I'm glad they were able to figure it out and get to where they needed to go, and It sounds like they weren't out of their way to support and keep each other safe, I like the idea of making sure no one was left behind during stops. And I hope they're able to maintain this friendship.
These types of stories give me a sense of hope. -Fennett
Amazing how much you can bond over flight delays/cancellations - I was once stuck in Detroit for 18 hours when I met a surgeon in the same situation but missed his operation. We ended up cracking open a bottle of whiskey in an Embassy Suites lobby and chatting about life 😂
THIS WORLD DESPERATELY NEEDS MORE OF THIS 💖💖
That's a beautiful story! We need more positivity like this in this world now
They should make a movie out of this. With more adventures on the way of course
I think a really comedic one that still has a story (similar to dumb and dumber) would be a good alternate story.
This really was like the start of a movie. Glad they were able to get to Knoxville.
I been to Knoxville before
At least Hertz didn't call the police and say the van was Stolen.
…this time.
🤣🤣 yup that was a plus. That’s probably why they posted that part so they had evidence later that they didn’t steal it 🤣🤣
that's what i thought, too🤣
😁

I absolutely love happenings like these! Folks helping fellow human being out, working together for a purpose! At least in smaller groups the purpose can actually be accomplished, I'm glad they all mafe it safely to thier destinations!
All these people in this group look like amazing people.
Such an uplifting story and a great message for all! ❤️
Great Story! Glad you all made it ok..
Oh my gosh...a reunionnnn🙂 y'all blessed to have ended up with just the right blend of people 🙌🏽...now they all have an interesting story to tell because they did something out of the ordinary
Shoutout to the driver in taking the responsibility of driving that far and getting everyone to their destination safely
It happens during jury duty as well. I was called in for Voire `dere and that was with 300 other people. Some of us were in a hallway they filled up conference rooms, I was in a conference room with 22 other people we were the last group to be called at 645 that night. We had been talking and joking telling stories for 12 hrs.
Damn I gotta call in on Monday to report for my jury duty. I hate making small talk so hopefully this doesn't happen to me
@@brimmed i was in jury duty recently, and if you keep your head down and don't make eye contact, it's very easy to avoid small talk. believe me, there will be plenty of people there that don't want to talk to anyone either.
@@vanitymarks8798 Good. How do we live in a nation that randomly calls us on duty (whether we want to or not), asks us questions during voir dire, & pays you basically nothing (especially in todays economy) in the name of upstanding civic duty?? Doesn’t make sense to me at all!! It is totally an infringement of “so-called” American freedom if anything!
@Jao Bai Dun would you rather have a better paid jury that actually wants to be there and actively listening with a duty than people there against their wills ?
I too think better paid jury duty would have better outcomes ... you don't?
That's absolutely wholesome.
We need more stories like this
This is truly awesome a group of strangers who come together as a team and make something come together as a whole which they will all become friends amazing story!! Glad they all
Made it Tennessee ❤
Wow that was an incredible, unexpected type of story! So refreshing to hear some good news once again. I hope they all stay connected with each other. Glad they made it to their destination on time. I hate long road trips.

Im so glad they were good people and everything went smoothly. This is how it should be.
I wish I was this social and open to people. Just yesterday I traveled to New York and I barely talked with people. I even was anxious to ask someone to take a picture of me at Times Square. I'm glad they turned a bad situation into a great story 😄❤️
