It’s annoying how sometimes I have two mediums on my team and the enemy has 3 and they all go to the corner.
Or when you are a medium tank that has 2 other friendly medium tanks that both decide to leave you alone in the corner against the reds 2 mediums and let you get yoloed by them which should never happen when one side has more meds than other.
When I'm in a lt or Mt, I always ask a td for help if I'm outnumbered. If they don't push with me, I try to bait the enemy tanks to come in front of team's guns and play from a more defensive location. Ofc sometimes you get Yolo rushed but it's better than nothing.

Hellas: Go right with mediums but if you’re heavies you should go in the hills to hulldown.(Regular Encounter) (Supremacy)Go all left and mediums scout mid and after capping both bases just hold.
Hellas guide, if you in a medium go to agro spot bush,
If you in a super heavy go encounter cap
If you in a heavium, two choice, if your whole is going to meds side follow then, if your heavies refuse to follow meds then read lineup if you can push with heavies and win then push into the dip on heavies side other wise just leave your heavies to die and wipe out their med
If u in td just go to sniping bush first then reloacte after
This is the best strate

This video was very helpful because you don't see other youtubers lay out the places where one should go. A lot of us, if not all, are self taught so we learn by doing and sometimes we do the wrong thing thinking it was right. I want to see more to these videos.

I always called the town is a death trap, too many corner traps and lower disadvantage.
This is good tactical point of view.

Droodles only talks about one direction. What if you come the other way? Droodle says it's "symmetric." But you can tell which direction *he* wants to play. :)
Dude that’s insane. I watched a few seconds on the video heard what you had to do for the first map, left and got on blitz, and my fist game was this map. I did what you said and won the game with a mastery! Wtf
Agree... although you could give also an alternative for when you cannot dispute that flank, let's say because you are outnumbered in mediums there for example. In this case I would suggest to not even try because once you are there there's no escape.If you are playing against a competent team I would say don't even try that flank if you are outnumbered in meds or lights.

I find that the green spawn in your video has a significant advantage than the red, is easier for heavies to push to the hulldown position. You see a lot of heavies getting stuck before that point.

In fact for every map, DON’T GO TOWN.
Focus the weakest, high DPM and fast targets first, that’s the simple main strategy . That’s why I always suggest that together push med side first.
But there’s an unfair map, Vineyard, you can’t win when you spawn north side push med side.

The bridge on the edge of the map rear of the lite spot here and there I use my is4 and reck the pushing enemies so it works

This is for strategic players to understand. Most of players do not even know how to read a map. The problem is teams run around the maps chasing bases. A lot of times u get 2 bases and instead of defendin them, fast tanks go for the third and leave slow mooving tanks behind to die one by one.
Another thing, no mater wich way is better to push, if your team goes the other way you must go with them. Is not ideal but keeps the game more interesting since you are forced to play new scenarios instead of pushing same spots again and again.
Droodles: Dont go to town side
My teammates: No
In every game, I told my teammates to not go to town, they will still go, like their mom died in the town and they are going to berry it......
Every time I told them to watch Droodles or Pantou's map tutorial, they will never answer you and go to town, like a little orphan
This forced me to drive T49 or ru251 a lot, when people are driving to the town, I have to physically block them.
Personally , if i see that we have a dominant medium tank force, i push my tank destroyer just above the river, on the lower part of the hill and try to work with my meds on putting more pressure on the enemy heavies that work the hill as well and keep ours from advancing.
Otherwise, you camp at the back where you already showed , and hope that RNG is on your side when you shoot. Cause most of the time, you're gonna be sniping pixels across the river, or hull down heavies.
What if it is supremacy game as a&b cap are in town, is strat the same. In some situations most of enemy go town, cap bases. Then some if not all of your team go town to contest, leaving you alone to face remaining enemy on river side.

my biggest issues with portbay is the bottom right spawn for a TD, as a player for 5 years, i honestly still don't know what im doing in a TD
Something I've seen tds do sometimes is sit on the hill on the north edge of the map next to green1.
5:49 although it seems to work on paper, in practice the Meds on the hill will mostly only reveal their turret, which means hitting your shots will become luck dependent unless you're in a grille, even then vehicles like t62a and stb1 will not be threatened by you. Pretty much your only hope is to splash their turrets with he or just wait for them to cross over, which considering you're positioned in such a distance away for them will be extremely challenging for an average player to hit his/ her shots, again, unless you are in a grille (God that gun is insane). So conclusion, it's borderline impossible to run tds like the object 268, Death star and fv4005 on this map, yes, I absolutely hate this map.

In the past heavys fight in container part ,tds are back and light and mediums are in other side and it was fun,BUT now everyone is one hills side and now container part is uselless thats why ı hate this map

If both teams are fighting the medium side, your meds have to take and keep the far ridge. This map is all about the mediums and the positions they can hold.

Glad I'm not the only one that got so fed up with people going town on Port Bay that they made a video. People call town and then rage when they die/lose... Like, that was YOUR fault lol

I was once playing on port bay, there were no lights and 1 medium on each team. The enemy had a t22 and my team had a t54e1. They had complete control over the corner, and we could do nothing abut it. First time the mm really screwed me over.
I ride the ridge town side but stay on the med side with the wz121 and people never expect me to be there with that tier 20 gun
I can play that map with any tank , its such a good map... I only got one question.... Where should I go in my Maus/E100 on this map on the med side?

The problem for me is that my team’s heavies don’t move up at times and let the enemy heavies push up and take control the middle hill. That causes me to be shot from all sides while our heavies don’t do anything.
First game was Port Bay, everyone went to town. Both teams, no one on hills, just in the town. My team just sat at the flag, not on it, just next to it. We had supior numbers, I was willing to take hits for my team for everyone to push up. They never did, and they failed killing 1 tank right next to them
Was in a Tank Destroyer an VII AT, I killed the 1 tank cause it drove in front of me. I was then able to push up and elimeate the last heavy and medium. My heavies were dead or next to the flag (mostly full health)
Can you do one on Castilla I have problems on medium side like I feel like it’s so hard to play on the map especially the meds side
i'm may not a pro player, but in that map especially when used med or LT depends on your team support (other med or LT). always go to castle on the hill and don't exposed yourself or getting shot by heavy from other side.
if you are alone who just use med or LT, then depends from TD who are supported you from behind. always go to hill/castle when use med or LT.
Do you take video ideas? If yes cold you do a guaid to equipment in the game, what to put on what tank and what dose what. It took me along time to get the hang of it, and I think many new players cold benefit..

Map strategy aside, if you don't really understand how your tanks work you will have a hard time winning too. i have several match where I pushed to the town and all the enemy heavies does it too. What did i do? Side scrap the hell out of my Tiger 1 and killed them all and got my Mastery badge sitting around 4.9k damage.

Sorry I cant agree with this one Droodles, We have a whole map to play and you telling me for the most part I can only win if we go with the mediums side of the map.
No I wont go in the center of town but I would go to harbor side, this is prefeed for most heaves and TDs. (you didn't talk about that part of the map).
Heaves and TDs because they are slower takes more times to get in the right position to battle, it would be more beneficial for the med and lights to support the heaves and TDs then the other way around.
I am sorry but if one is a good player you should be able to win on any part of the map.
Yeah,but if you go town you have plenty of parking,cafes,cinema stop for groceries etc .

If I'm in a Russian td I actually prefer the port there's always noobs camping near either side of the map on the hills, and you can clear those out before the valley flank comes around
The map design does suck a$$ when 40% is surface you can't go to, and half of the rest is almost useless
