I like doctor when telling the truth this logical way. I was suffering , this answer really comfort me.
me too, i have almost no swealling, but it bugs me to wear the compression garment at work, specially when somebody hugs me XD, so i bought an underarmor compression shirt, and wear it at work, and at my home i wear the traditional garment XD
GALVAN after one year , did it work ? Are you satisfied with the results and is it ?
Thank you! I'm 10 days post-op and my body is telling me that continuing with 24/7 compression is not good for me.
I love my compression garment. I feel unsteady without it. Having it on reminds me that I have to be careful moving about.
My surgeon told me that you have to try to ween off of it so that your body doesn't rely on it & adjusts to being normal. So after 6wks...just wear it during the day & off at night for 3 months.
Thank You so much for this video. I've been suffering for days trying to wear this thing 24/7 smh
A real answer! Thanks
Thank you so much I was in a panic because I had my off for two hours just to wash it
😂
Lol 🤣🤣
Nice !!! Another thing is there whole massage debacle . Some say 30 massages others say none . I don’t mind wearing a garment but it’s nice to know it’s not mandatory
Great information. I had gynecomastia lipo this morning and my surgeon expects me to wear the compression garment for 6 weeks - day and night! Common sense told me that that makes no sense so it's good to see that my instincts were correct. Today is Thursday and my first post-op appointment is Monday and I plan to wear the garment until then and after that, switch to a tight undershirt that I ordered online.
Also, the compression garment I have is more like a bulletproof vest. It's black (not subtle at all) and I can barely move. I look like Frankenstein just walking to the kitchen. How anyone could expect a functioning human being to wear this thing for 6 weeks is beyond me.
General. I was out the entire time but fully awake before I left that day (although I was a bit loopy).
So I'm curious, do you still think not wearing the compression garment for 6 weeks was the best decision? I'm almost 3 weeks post-op lipo and I'm wearing a compression garment and ab board. Did you get the final results you wanted? Please share. Thank you.
William Couselo, Jr. I'm in one week after surgery for a lower abdomen lipo. So your abs are showing now?
Hi, Rommel. Yes! My stomach is completely FLAT! I'm extremely happy with the results. I'm still wearing the compression garment and AB board and will continue to wear it until the end of August (3 months post-op). If you wanna chat some more, feel free to e-mail me at wcouselo03@gmail.com
@@WCouselo03 Sorry. I just saw this and did not want to be rude and not respond. My results were great and I think I healed just as quickly without the garment as I would have if I had worn it as instructed (of course, there is no way to know for sure). Also, I had three post-op follow-ups at various points during my recovery and my doctor never indicated that he was aware I was not wearing my undergarment. He was always very pleased with my progress and that was that. I hope your experience was a good one.
YOU'RE THE BEST !!!! PERFECT ANSWER & RIGHT TO THE POINT 👈👈👏🤝
Real talk! ... but I'm still wearing mine. I paid too much money to be worried about a little discomfort.
HELLO what's the best FAJA COMPRESSION or what's the NAME OF THE FAJA THE DOCTORS PUT
Little?, guuurl!!!
Perfect! Also, people have different operations (lots of lipo vs. a little lipo) and different lymphatic systems. Some people swell at the drop of a hat and some recover super fast from a bump or bruise.
My body did not like what I did I swell badly, this has been pure hell
9 years later.... thank you thank you thank you!!!!
Precise, direct and to the point 😎😎
Finally a reasonable answer! Thank you! 😊
Love love love straight forward answers.
Thank you Doc! That was quick honest and precise!
EXCELLENT answer Dr.
I LOVE your answer!!! Was exactly the same as my surgeon... I had tummy tuck January 2023 and will be having some 'touch up' lipo this January ( end of month) 2024 ...Thank you so much for this video!!!!
Awesome, Thanks for your honesty❣️
Wow!! Thank you so much for your honesty! You're right every doctor has a different answer. You're also right about getting there faster by wearing the garments to reduce swelling and fluid retention. Thank you so much for this video!
best answer ever. watched a lot of videos and evert doctor had a different answer on that question. Thanks to your video i feel now more comfortable when i get my surgery next week. thanks a lot!
You are amazing! I love you already! I wish you are my doctor.
Dr. I have watched at least 30 videos on this subject. I find this video and I am 2 weeks out from surgery. You are right on point it makes sense. This is from my experience. I will say I have been doing lymphatic massage 3 days out. I feel great. Thank you for this.
Very helpful, thanks a lot Doctor.
Very precise answer
Thank you! My TT surgery is in two days. I’m mentally preparing and looking ahead. My surgeon hasn’t yet given me guidelines on wearing them but I know he will advise.
Best answer ever ... thanks
Thanks Doctor👍
Man what a fucking great answer.. thank you man
Thank you for the info.👍👍
Wowww!! You are awesome in your response.....Thank-you for you honesty!! What about sitting after a bbl? I've heard a lot of different responses regarding this too?

Fasting after liposuction is the fastest way to heal!
I was told i have to wear mine day and night for 4 months after each procedure. They said that the marena garment reacted with the laser from the laser lipo and helped trim me down. I've paid over 300.00 in garments for this and I'm beginning to think its not true based on my research. Do you have an opinion on the matter? I've already had mine on since 3-19 day and night with exception of showers.
Hello Dr., I have a related question. I'm 30, male. I had a (non-laser) liposuction from face, lipo-buccal fat reduction, neck (necklift), accompanied with masseter reduction 16 days back. I couldn't manage to get a compression garment, because I couldn't find one. Initially I had lot of swelling, but there's still significant swelling.
I'm in search of a compression garment, but since more than 2 weeks have passed already without it, does it matter now whether I wear one or not? "Matter" in the sense that will it help me to see my end result faster if I start wearing the garment now? I'm expecting my face to narrow down quite a bit since I have both liposuction of subcutaneous and buccal fat, masseter and also a bit of mandibular bone smoothing right below the masseter areas.
too sharp and too smart :)
hi! loved what u said as suits me fine.. but i read n even doctor said that when the fat is removed the empty spaces remain n wearing a pressure garment squeezes the hollows n make the skin stick to it.. but if we dont wear garment than those hollows are again filled with soft fat n fluids making us fat again.. sounds logical.. can u pl clearify n explain this.. as everyone i was also in extreme pain with blisters. n even ended up with bad burns n blisters making impossible for me to wear garment even though the doc insisted it was just not possible.. now i m really depressed what if my surgery is wasted even after so much money and pain etc.. doc pl help us we need yr advice.. ty
What about preventing seromas?
So either wear it and have swelling go away sooner but be very uncomfortable, or the opposite. Ill pick the opposite.
What’s your opinion on the lymphatic massages?
I’m almost 4 weeks post opp and wearing the garment 24/7 is so hard on me to even do my normal things around the house n be a mother it’s rough. So I stopped wearing it during the day n only wear it at night until I hit my six weeks so I can stop all together
Hi i would like to know if the boards are necessary and all the padings or for how long are those to be worn?
Thank you I am now in love with you I hate that damn compression garment. I feel like a sausage that gasps for air. I wore it the first week 24/7. Today I was told I could or should wear it 12 hours a day. Aesthetic value, I had a procedure done not to impress anyone, but me i had cancer and after my pet scan was clear my body had turned to putty. liposuction was much cheaper than my cancer cost. They asked me if I worried about scars. No, I am just glad to be alive. Lots of things they don't tell you after your cancer treatment ends. I have always been fit. I use to tell the nurses- I look like Mitch McConnell(ha)
Sir how long swelling exist .i done my surgery before 2 months but swelling around my chest.
can I wear a Heating pad after liposuction?
I feel that the garment gives me more bruising because it's so tight. I read one doctor's comment saying that in some abdomen lipo patients he only recommends it to be worn a week, after that it doesn't make any difference in the results so I took mine off after a week because of this but after watching other women and doctors emphasizing how important wearing a faja is I put it back on because I am so swollen right now I don't want to jeopardize my results. I'm wondering if the comment I read is from the same doctor on this video. I wish more doctors would say it's okay so I won't base my decision on one yay out of hundreds of nays. Any advice from some one who stopped wearing the faja after a week?
I stopped after a week it was hurting me so bad now I have major creasing right down the middle of my abdomen during to the Faja glad I listened to my instincts now working on fixing this terrible crease
I wonder if this goes for facelift compression too? I am 11 days post-op and miserable!!
After 2 weeks its starting to make my skin itch.
Yes... i feel it too
me too XD
Me too! the itching stops once I take it off for a shower or to wash it
Just had liposuction at the back of my neck. My surgeon told me I have to wear mine for two weeks 24/7 and then two weeks just during the night. I think that’s reasonable but man I am SO uncomfortable already after two days haha.
Yea I think I’m done with this faja..I been wearing it religiously for 6 weeks .it’s getting ridiculous
Girl you ain't lying! I continue to itch with my faja but once I take it off the itching goes away..I'll be one month this wknd...but I do still have swelling..😔
I’m 1 week post op and feel suffocated in this. I’ve decided to leave it off during the day and keep it on at night. The itching and zippers digging through my skin is too much.
I hate wearing it but as soon as I get out I swell so bad. It feels better to be compressed in currently 4 weeks post op
Same here. How are your results now?
Are they what you wanted? And were u consistent with your faja?
@@letterstojesus7879 I hate my results, upper abdomen sticks out farther then bottom and left with many wrinkles. I need a tummy tuck
any update? did you get tummy tuck? @@contentdeleted5428
Cant understand this man's logic.
Took mine off after a week it hurts so bad
