This is another video tutorial showcasing the faux leather technique on a Manila envelope. It's easy and fun. Gives us a very lovely soft cover for our journal. I was working on two Journal covers at the same time it's easy to swap covers during drying times. I ended up finishing the one I liked the most. It's going to be perfect for my next nature/botanical journal.
Thanks for stopping by.

Ink names you used?
How are the signatures bound? Is it bound on a spine inside and then the spine is glued?
I supposed so because the paper might tear if you poke a hole through?
@@jsudor1 On this particular one I poked holes straight to the cover and it worked just fine. On the video flip through of this journal you can see the stitching of the binding if you want to have a look. It's a different video.
@@efi235 another question dear,i made a crackle finish journal with acrylic paint and crackle media, what do i seal it with?
@@jsudor1 hey Janine, sounds great! You can use mod podge matte or gossy depending on what you have and like or you can use a clear gesso (this will have a more gritty finish) or a proper sealer spray. It really depends on what you have, like and look you are going for. 🖤
@@efi235 Thanks so much,Mod Podge Matte worked! Younare the best!
What is the pinkish looking ink??
This is not an ink it is an oxide. Distress oxide by Tim holtz "aged mahogany".
What paint are you using in the tube?
Hello there, the tube is not paint. It is mod podge glue and i use it as a sealer to lock the colours from the inks and give that shinny finish to the cover. :)
