    The U-POWEX resistance bands are a solid set of 5 colored bands ranging from 10lbs to 50lbs of resistance. These can be used in place of or for assistance with other equipment in your home gym.
    I use these bands to perform and supplement many exercises in my training as well as train with them in place of cardio if it is raining or snowing outside. These resistance bands are also great for traveling.
    The video goes over why I love these resistance bands and how it may help with your home training. Feel free to comment below with any questions you may have. Be fit - game on!

    This is the problem with us people, that we go out on weekend and spend more than 50 dollars per night just for alcohol or smoking or other unnecessary things. But when it comes to our health and things which benefits our body, 50 dollar gets very expensive. If you understand what i mean. Thumbs up and stay healthy

    I bought this to supplement my home strength training which consists of bodyweight exercises and a ton of grip snd forearms equipment from iron mind. These are great i can do bench press, shoulder press, flies, rows bicep curl etc. The muscle contraction from bands is unreal much better than weights also these are superior for plyometric or speed training. Great for using when on vacation or traveling. They wont build mass and huge brute strength like barbells but using these with bodyweight training and some running/jump rope will build a great and functional physique, with more than enough strength unless you want to be worlds strongest man or an elite level power lifter.

      They will build mass if you go really heavy and keep rest periods between sets really short. And if you use them correctly to mimick the dumbbell/barbell and cable version of the excercise. Resistance is resistance.
      And the body doesn't know or care how your breaking up your muscle tissues. And the bands I use (lifeline usa) goes up to 300lbs resistance.

    So, 2 things...
    1) what does your training program look like? I’m genuinely curious and would like to see what you do.
    2) I find with these bands, working out legs can be a little tricky, opposed to the loop style bands (Undersun, WOD Fitters, etc). Is the only movement you can do Door Anchored Leg Extensions? Squatting with these just seems awkward (for me at least)

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +5

      They are great for some exercises and as long as you use progressive overload to challenge your muscles they will work, only a slightly different strength curve. same principals as free weights apply.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +1

      Resistance bands provide exactly what you said is needed to build muscle, resistance. Not sure why you think it can't. Just make sure the bands you use are strong enough to challenge you with that resistance and get enough stimulus to get steonger. From there, get enough protein and calories with enough recovery to build muscle.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety

      Maybe some eccentric work, but it wouldn't be the main contraction as that would come from pushing them away using your quads. You need the resistance going the other direction for your hamstrings to take over. This is where anchoring is the best option.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +1

      You are adding additional resistance to push or pull against. The length of the bands is the same, but they each stack on their own resistance. If you have ever taken regular rubber bands and started adding more as you pull apart it will get harder the more you add on. I don't know the exact science behind it, but when I stack more bands it definitely gets harder to complete the reps.

    How are the resistance? Are they close to as labelled? I consider myself an intermediate lifter doing about 85lb dumbbells for inclined chest presses. Do these come close to that when stacked together? I am looking for a good quality long lasting resistance bands since the gyms around my area are closed because of you know what. I used to workout for a couple hours every day for 6 days a week regularly since the last 3 years and doubt if these could handle that much torture. All in all, I am just worried about the difference in quoted resistance as opposed to the actual resistance these bands provide and their lifespan. Do you recommend any other brands over this? I love weight training and unfortunately the recent times have rendered going to the gym unavailable.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 4 lety +2

      I personally love them for pull based exercises, not really for push outside of overhead press or triceps extensions. I do use them multiple times a week and they go through quite a beating. If you think you can handle it, the wodfitters or UnderSun bands have some heavy duty versions. I don't like them much as they hurt my palms a lot and can be awkward for regular exercises, but they are built very well and you might find them more useful than I did :)

      I think they go by the name Fitness Insanity resistance bands now. I also recommend the Whatafit Resistance Bands. It is the same thing.

      Not too sure, you are a bit taller than me. I'd reach out and see if their support team can help with full stretch of the bands.

    Great workout!Resistance bands are convenient, inexpensive and you can train anywhere, anytime. Just uploaded a Leg and Booty workout for ladies, entirely done with resistance bands! Let us know what you think!

      Nice! Keep up the good work. Only recommendation for the trainer is to slow down the exercises (especially the eccentric) to get a longer contraction in the muscles. Looks like a solid start to a channel though! Good luck :)

      Never snapped these. I only ever snapped the x-small UnderSun resistance bands but got it replaced very easily and still use them even now. Haven't snapped any since.

    When you use the 50lb band to curl with both hands. Is the resistance actually 25lb per hand or 50lb

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety +1

      No it is variable. I track based on band used (I label them in 10s so the lightest would be 10 lbs) just so I can keep track of which one I used before.
      The resistance changes based on how much the band is stretches so it is a range.

    Can the bands snap from the binding?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 3 lety

      I've yet to do anything that would cause them to snap. For normal use they are good so far, but I don't plan to stretch them to snappable length. The most stretches I'd get is with overhead triceps extensions (both arms at once) and at 5'11" they work just fine.

    Can resistance band build muscle??

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 4 lety +6

      Yes as long as the tension provided elicits a stimulus for your muscles to grow. Meaning, you need to provide enough resistance and tension to the muscles to tell the body it needs to get stronger and build muscle.

    This bands are useless... Lifting weights can't be compared with bands.... Better buy some home gym set for less price or on second hand..
    No offence to you sir ur advice was really good

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před rokem +1

      I agree to a degree. Bands can provide resistance and tension on the muscles, and as long as that stimulus to the muscles is great enough to elicit an anabolic response, your body will attempt to build more muscle as long as you provide enough material and recovery for it to do so. This means you must make sure the bands you are using are providing that stimulus (same goes for using dumbbells).
      The main problem I have with them is the strength to resistance curve. This is where the greatest weakness of bands come in, especially as tougher/stronger bands are made. I moved to the UnderSun loop bands in the past few years in my setup, but regardless, no matter what you use, there has to be enough tension and stress on the muscle to generate a response from the body, then it comes down to what you give it as building blocks (protein and micronutrients) and enough time to repair and build more muscle.

  • @alexmorosi7956
    @alexmorosi7956 Před 2 lety

    thx for the video but sorry I don't believe you build up your muscle with bands. I train since 20s and the body is build with weights. Maybe they can help you if you cant go to the gym for a while .

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Před 2 lety

      They most certainly can. Are they the most optimal option to build muscle, no, bit they still use the underlying principles of resistance to create tension and with a great enough stimulus, adaptation to build muscle and get stronger.
      What you use doesn't matter as long as you can get a great enough stimulus that tells the body it must respond to it. From there, nutrition and recovery will be needed to see results.
