- After listening to this dozen gems, we can confirm that there are no surprises here... After two impressive advance tracks, which now don't even seem to us the best of an album with absolutely no mistakes, we expected the best and yet it has surpassed any of those expectations. We knew how good Ishka was, our new fucking hero, a guy capable of blowing our brains out involved in some of the most favorite deranged bands of the moment, who as TEE VEE REPAIRMAN has now revealed himself as an incredible songwriter who has been able to take power-pop-punk to the next level, imbuing it with that unique crazy garagy Sidney touch, that makes from "What's On TV" one of the records of the year, gorgeous, fun and instantly catchy.

The mix of crazy energy, shitty recording equipment, and solid talent is absolutely perfect. It reminds me a lot of The Ramones and The Damned but with a modern twist. Punk at it's core in my opinion

Noooo... Que va, no se puede generalizar, hay de todo, el mainstream sigue siendo patetico, como siempre, y es lo que mas llega, de ahi que se le llame mainstream, pero hay tb mucha gente joven que busca otras cosas!
@@TremendoGaraje - Bueno Tremendo ahí discrepo contigo porque lo que llega aquí al menos en el estado español, es gente sin preparación musical, normalmente con influencias latinas, pero que suenan igual tod@s. Música que no se puede ni bailar; igual te parezco un poco radical para estoy harto de apenas encontrar refererentes, parece que nos quedamos los supervivientes de épocas más convulsas, pero infinitamente más creativas. Ejemplos como solistas españoles, o latinos como un argentino llamado Bizarre que jamás lo había escuchado, pues a raíz de una canción dentro de un tubo de Shakira, top ten en reproducciones que no ventas. No se, no es mi mundo, aunque también nacen grupos interesantes pero no les Dan bola en radios etc etc. Hay tantos ejemplos de nombres que no quiero ni pronunciar. Joder grupos como Talking Heads, B-52, Siosxie and the Bashess, Sttif Litte Fingers, en España Héroes del Silencio, toda la nueva ola Madrileña, grupos de Vigo como Siniestro Total, OS Resentidos bueno un sin fin de talento a lo largo y ancho de todo el mundo. Lo cierto es que soy un nostálgico de aquellos años 80- 90 en los que vivi una generación muy bien dotada musicalmente, más cultural. Me escandaliza ver que gente de 25 años, ante preguntas como que presidente de los EEUU fue asesinado en Dallas, de 10 ninguno conocía esa respuesta, y es sólo un ejemplo vivido hace poco en televisión. Pero que ha pasado??? Jajaja 😂. Tienes razón en una cosa que gracias que todavía queda gente con talento!!. Un abrazo Tremendo Garage....

No te quedes con todo lo demás, quedate con lo que valga la pena para ti, hoy en día no es como antes que teníamos que tirar de fanzines y otros medios imposible para llegar a lo que nos gustaba, hoy en día Internet te permite con la misma facilidad llegar a una banda que hace punk en tu pueblo o un tipo que hace shoegaze en su dormitorio en Israel... No pierda ni un segundo en criticar lo que no te guste, solo en apreciar lo que te mole... Hay toneladas de cosas buenas por ahí. En mi opnión nunca se ha hecho mejor punk que ahora. Con respecto a los states... bueno, siempre ha habido mucha incultura allí, recuerdo que en el 92 los Disposable Heroes Hiphoprisy ya se preguntaban como puede ser que en US la mayoria de la gente pensara que America Central era Kansas... Todo esto son topicazos, todo es muy aburrido ya... Bucea, busca... QUEDATE SOLO CON LO QUE TE GUSTA! Ni un segundo a lo que no merezca la pena, ni para criticarlo.
