Just found your channel while searching for introductory material on linguistics, to get a feel of this field I've always been curious about, but never really got around to studying. And I'm glad I did - this is so helpful. I don't usually comment a lot, but I'd like to thank you for your work. I've begun watching your lessons in order and I'll be looking forward to your future uploads. (:

In Spanish we DO have the [w] sound in regular words like "agua" which means water, "enagua" = underskirt, "paraguas" = umbrella, "aguacate" = avocado, "amortiguador" = shock and a large etc.

@@AzeLinguistics Hi! Wonderful channel. I believe the person up there is talking about a logical order in which to watch the videos on each topic starting from the more general I think. So, when watching a video, we learn without gaps (things that maybe you've explained on previous videos on the subject). It would be a great improvement. Thanks for your work!

      @@FontenlaAndres I can't emphasize the 'playlists' enough.

@@AzeLinguistics Yes. The playlists are alright, but he's talking about the videos in them. From my understanding, the videos themselves seem out of order. That's what I'm talking about. For example on the "phonetics" list, the first video is "Place & manner of articulation", the second "Articulatory phonetics" and the third "What is phonetics?". Thanks.

Sorry to say but in my 36 years of a linguist experience, this is so confusing.
