I was just on a board reading comments and people were saying not so nice things about Mayte, I love her though and I thought the book was lovely, but not to belabor the point;this is her life story and she deserves to bring it to screen just as she had the right to write the book and Prince just happened to be her husband. However, I do understand why people would be concerned because it's going to be a challenging task to not make him look questionable, but circling back to what I said before, he happened to be her husband.

What Mayte discusses at 21:00 when she first started to go see Prince to play once they were friends got me to start thinking about going back and watching some of those shows again to look for the impact she had on him initially, will be an interesting exercise.

I think when they were going to make the Elvis movie people were like, "who will they get to play him?" But then they found Austin Butler, and he did a great job. He looked and sounded like Elvis. There's some actor out there somewhere who will be able to play Prince. and will do just as good a job. I don't think it will be a problem.

Please dont do a movie because no one can be Prince in essence. The person we knew him as, leave it alone please. No one really knew Prince unless you really cared enough to know. The movie will give a totally different take on him and we will lose what Prince was really about. I think what drew people to Prince, he was an underdog but was able to master every interaction and conversation, performance and gave us the best of himself to everything he did. Not half way anything. Mayte has a good heart very loving.
When you make the movie shoot his parts from his point of view or off screen. Then use Ai to duplicate his voice. Don't show him directly at all. Anybody you get to play him won't be able to. He was something else.

Please dont do a movie because no one can be Prince in essence. The person we knew him as, leave it alone please. No one really knew Prince unless you really cared enough to know. The movie will give a totally different take on him and we will lose what Prince was really about. I think what drew people to Prince, he was an underdog but was able to master every interaction and conversation, performance and gave us the best of himself to everything he did. Not half way anything. Mayte has a good heart very loving.
When you make the movie shoot his parts from his point of view or off screen. Then use Ai to duplicate his voice. Don't show him directly at all. Anybody you get to play him won't be able to. He was something else.
