This is a channel that tries to provide interesting listening practice for learners of Spanish. Get used to real Spanish used in context, and eventually develop a native-like intuition for the grammar and the vocabulary, together with a clear pronunciation.
The videos try to be easy enough for a complete beginner in the language to get the gist of the story and start picking up vocabulary.
They are based on the ALG method ( algworld.com/bl... ) and Stephen Krashen's Comprehensible Input theory.

Muchas gracias! I Just realised my first Spanish teacher (a native) used to teach exactly like you do and I used to love her classes. My second teacher (a non native) didn't teach in the same way and I didn't enjoy her classes as much. Now I realise why I enjoyed my first teacher's classes so much

I started watching it 2 weeks ago. I can’t believe it’s so well made it made me cry. It feels so nostalgic it makes you want to go back to the olden days with your childhood friends.
I recommend it to Spanish learners who are in the intermediate to advance level. It will make you laugh and cry and feel a deep longing for the happy days of your childhood. It will make you feel sad and but the sadness feels therapeutic I can’t explain it. 😅

I used to watch this Tv show as a kid, in Puerto Rico... late 70's early 80's...

The theme song to verano azul is the same song as We Shall Not Be Moved, but with Spanish lyrics, haha. I used to sing that song at summer camp but with the English lyrics, sabías esto?
Oh, I see! It's actually not the theme song, but rather what they sing when trying to defend Chanquete's boat. It's good to know where it comes from!

I recommend at the beginning focusing on listening a lot until you understand well. Then later you can watch shows with subtitles and read books.
