Qld received nine straight penalties during the game you're crying about ..the ref saved them from a sixty point thrashing and NSW will have to overcome the refs being on Qld for game 3

The origin Martin tackle, Cotter twisted in the tackle and landed on his arm, Cotter's head never hit the ground, he then went off for a HIA so the toads got a free interchange.
The HIA was a bs late call because he cracked his head into Grantâs, Literally on the previous set.
Neither were sent off for that head clash when it happened.
Concussions can happen without head contact.

No more than a single freaking repeat in any given set! Force them to kick for goal or kick for touch and allow for it to be challanged by the captain. This is making it so easy to fix a match for the bookies.

NSW had a 13 tackle set and scored, Qld were gassed and never regained any momentum. That was game over.

Six again is a massive punishment. Would mess up the tackle counts I know, but maybe instead, have it add an extra tackle to the set?
I often yell at the tv saying get up when a player from my team is staying on too long. next thing a 6 again is given. Sure they can work it out and usually they do it because the team needs to catch their breath or get defensive line set
Half the time i can't even figure out what the infringement was for the repeat set of 6 they give them away like oranges at half time
I donât see any consistency with the 6 agains, especially as far as slowing down the ruck. Itâs like the ref is just calling it whenever he feels like it. Get rid of it imo.

When Im now watching the game, Im actually wondering why there is a ref out on the field, with the challenges that each side has, the percentage of challenges that are successful amazes me, it also appears that 90% of the tries are now given as No Try and sent to the Bunker, which just delays the game, the NRL need to clear the game up and take all the fuzzy BS out of it. The 6 again rule is crazy, if the ref cant control the game then he shouldnt be on the field, it I was a betting man or took bides, 6 again rule could be really useful.

You need the bunker or some more a review system, for when ashley Klein claimed Cam Murray lost the ball in the play the ball right in striking distance, and the reply on the big screen proved he didn't. When the ref's get such bad calls like that wrong you shouldn't even need a referral, just watch the replay once and admit you got it wrong and play on
If the teams hate it, then it's time to raise it through their commissioners and be heard on it

There's a temptation for some referees to cheat with the 6 again rule.
At this point, the buyout of Super League (if it happens), may sort out the rules issues but 6⣠again does help with game flow IMO.

O when Ron Casey called the game for channel 9 and I followed the Berries haaa to send two blokes to the sin bin for rubbing someone's head I have lost a lot of interest in the game . Look at all the time money and effort penrith has put into that team now it's just torn apart . You can't blame the players when a team throws millions at them .

Isn't a six again a penalty. What I've noticed are alot of six agains given in the oppostions 20 right on the try line. Anywhere else on the field it's a penalty.

the game has sped up with the 6 again rule, which ultimately puts more stress on players. which decreases players careers. This year we have had alot of our stars with Hamstring injuries/ non contact injuries. which clearly shows the stress the players are on. They have added extra rounds and sped the game up. If the game values their product they will consider the well being of the player. Yes there is an entertainment standard, but there is no entertainment if our stars are out injured due to non contact injuries.

One tackle the defender will take a dump on the attacker and nothing about 2 minutes later the defender will peel marginally slow and its 6 again.

The game doesnât react to the right things. Only thing thatâs really need to come in is how seriously they take foul play, head contact etc.
Obstructions, six agains, disruptors, blockers. They were never a problem in the first place and the rules were changed for no reason.
Captains challenge I personally believe is the worst rule ever introduced. The benefit rugby league has over a lot of other sports, union, AFL etc is that it is a very simple game in theory, but we have done our best to over complicate things and add rules in which have taken away from the spectacle, not added to it.
I'm done with six again the bunker players not honouring their contracts and S O O going on for so long and interfering in the competition. Play it every 2nd week

It might also be contributing to the rise in soft tissue injuries, the players rarely get a chance to recover.
i think there needs to be communication between the bunker and ref, not the bunker over ruling the ref. that way the bunker can give his/ her 2 cents but at the end of the day still the refs call.
Depends on the nature of the foul, they were only brought in for obvious ruck interference so why do so many players still keep doing it. The rule shouldn't be changed, if you're team is fatigued and not in position then don't hold up the play. It is fair.
It is a nonsense rule. I'd rather see a straight out penalty as you can make more ground by kicking for touch for that extra 15-20 yards from the spot of the penalty, then proceed with a tap kick.
Give a 7 tackle set on the 6 again people will stop abusing the rule.

Gus' comments suggest allowing defenses to not be onside, wheres the upside to the attacking team? Cant fwd pass so why allow a quicker defence. But on the whole I do agree there needs to be a solution. When the rule was introduced half the offsides happened off camera and you can even see why its being ruled
I think Gusâ point is that they need to stop nit picking. Grinding football is what makes the game what it is. Being all over a team but then having that pressure released because you were half a meter off side is ridiculous. Thatâs his point in a nutshell.

If theres less nitpicking in rushing defense and ruck based infringements then it just opens up the question of how do you prevent them bending the rules. I guess it comes down to how the ref communicates what he is seeing and what he will penalise if its continued. (Which I do see happen from time to time but maybe it needs to be regular)
Yeah - my pet peeve is that the broadcast never ever shows if someone actually was offside or not. Seems they are very arbitrary penalties rather than given for any reason. Whatâs the point of working on a defensive structure, just to have a referee decide you have to defend for 4 sets because you laid in a ruck for a split second too long. Punishment doesnât fit the crime to be honest. A crazy idea for me, is to give teams an option when awarded a penalty - 1. Restart tackle count, but no kick for touch.

The six again rule is one of the worst rules that they have brought into RL. It gives the attacking team a advantage that is unfair. It is ruening the game. These are professional players and six tackles is enough time to get themselves in a good position.
