A fun twist would be to do it in slower cars (Derek would still be in the Valk), have the race set to 10 laps or something while everyone only races say 5. Then you would have Derek disrupt traffic twice a lap if not more.

A chaos mode would be to run these tracks in reverse while Derek is on the loose. Or you could do two races at once where half the grid travels backwards along the track this time with no Derek.

not a car. Derek is the slave we all used to employ to get our cars to level 50 for whatever filming session we needed them. It's actually ewan who christened him since for some reason his AI just could not keep it on track

the bit at 16:28 gives me an idea for anothe challenge involving Derek... more or less. What would happen if you were to do a reverse layout race with all the assist on? would you need to fight the car all the time?
These challenge videos are great! When you and the crew find fun and unusual ways to play these games, it's always a great watch.
I'd love to see more of Derek chases with the chatter between the racers. I hope the devs see this and install Derek runs as a real thing
To be fair the normal AI doesn’t really have an issue with driving through you either.
It reminds me of when I would do multiclass racing in single player FM7 with F1 cars and Formula Mazda. When the end race AI took over the f1 cars they would punt the Mazdas out of the way. Absolutely terrifying when you turn off radar and mini map.
I have a challenge for you. You create a 4 teams and Derek. Any map. Derek has same PI car as players. The goal is simple - to finish first ahead of Derek. Players have 15 sec headstart. Players can try to slow down Derek but they're not allowed killing other players.

For thos who dont know, on the other side of that catch fencing is a cliff, the "catch" fencing is quite literal.

Could you feature the voice chat in more videos? I often would like to hear what others are saying. And like that other guy, I too am not a big fan of the track side camera view and the videos that rely on it. I think it just doesn't show the actual racing and the lines people take anywhere near as well as chase cam does and the camera teleport wing around every 2 seconds is hard to look at and it's hard to tell where we are at any given time. Although this video wouldn't really work without that POV.

The lack of a pre-race lobby screen left me trying to figure out who was driving what. With the majority of us having watched enough Failrace crew videos, at 7:46 I can't have been the only one whose immediate reaction was " Oh it's Dangerman in the Rothmans."

the cinamatic camera is ok, not perfect because you cant control the camera angle. I wish there was a drone camera for example.
I think I'd rather see this from Derek's point of view rather than the camera angles changing, the cars just go too fast

Hang on, has the car levelling BS been removed from Forza now? If so I might actually go back to playing it - I hated having obstacles to buying and upgrading cars to play as I like...(time trials mostly).

Replay mode just feels harsh. I think the formula 1 cars ran the track a little faster than the mode was set up for because this was really a hard watch... Good times with the boys tho

@@longbowxmkii Fair enough. But why Not make a 2nd channel for the live streams? "failrace live" There are many people who used to enjoy the racing streams but they don't want to watch twitch. The worst part is the lack of communication towards the audience. Big changes like this should be explained, otherwise you create a gap between you and your audience that makes them feel like they are unimportant to you. People will lose respect when they are left in the dark.
It's that the live stream announcement videos are being removed when the live stream is over but if you look at the comments in those video's you can almost only see negative comments. so, overal, please communicate with your audience, people are very understanding if they know why. and just make a 2nd channel for the live streams. there are many creators that have a 2nd channel for exactly that. Or stream on twitch and then upload the vod to a 2nd channel. there is no reason to abandon youtube like this.

I don't think it was done with any callousness, it just wasn't really thought of. Alex has switched between the two before after all. He started streaming on Twitch first, so going back didn't seem like a big deal per se. Perhaps it could have been communicated better, we'll see going forward

Cause like i said, the comments in the announcement video's do not lie about it. I've been part of the audience for a couple years since StH6, but i don't remember him streaming on twitch so it's either before that or the youtube and twitch audiences have been separated back then. When you grow as big as Alex has done, you have to start seeing yourself as a business. It is very important for any kind of business to communicate well with it's customers, clients or audience. especially regarding changes that will effect them. I hope this will reach Alex because right now there is negative vibe among his audience because of this change and his lack of communication about it. We feel left out from a otherwise very enjoyable time with the community.
