McAllister is one of my go-to’s. I have black, walnut, chili, oxblood. Some Danite soles, one lug sole, rest leather. They are fabulous. The 65 last shoes are tight at first, but break in quickly and wear really well. I have worn these for years and travel with them. Great with a business suit or a sport coat. Will not go out of style. Been in the catalogue most years since the late 1950’s. Pretty timeless.

Good job! To take the sting out of the price, tell folks that the shoes are built to be re-soled, consequently with care, these shoes can easily last a decade, or more. Good shoes are a foundation of good health. I learned the hard way.

Thank you for the video. It was informative. I always thought having more brogue is more formal. Could you compare this with Alden Wing tip Bal? Allen Edmonds and Alden are the best American shoes makers I know. There are some British like Crocket and Jones, Church(bought by Prada) but I love American style over British.

How long does it take to break these in? Out of the box they are horribly uncomfortable. The right shoe is acceptable, however the left shoes is uncomfortable in the arch below my big toe.
