    Today it's time to cook, we're going to put together the yummiest soup ever. In fact, this is just the perfect tastiest and best lentil soup recipe detox soup you can ever enjoy. This is a lentil detox soup. And yes, we've got some key ingredients that are going to make a difference to your microbiome, therefore mental clarity, therefore weight loss and there we go, it combines everything.
    Best Lentil Detox Recipe Ingredients:
    - 2 cups chopped butternut squash
    - 2 cups chopped carrots
    - 2 cups sweet potatoes
    - 1 cup of lentils (brown or red)
    - 3/4 cup yellow lentils
    - 5 cloves of chopped garlic
    - 1/4 cup chopped onion
    - spice mix: 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp thyme, a few sprigs of rosemary
    - 1/2 cup olive oil
    - a spritz of lemon juice
    Now we're also going to add some parsley, and some chopped kale. We don't need this to cook very long. So we're adding it in at the very end of our recipe.
    This lentil soup is just a great burst of flavor. It is a great Daniel fast recipe and simply a nice blend of flavors. Now if you've added the rosemary sprig into your soup, you might want to make sure that's been removed. Most people don't like getting a stick in their soup. I wouldn't mind. But most people that I serve wouldn't like it.
    This vegan lentil soup is delicious. Totally Daniel fast - friendly, totally good for weight loss because of the high fiber. Always remember we've got to have high fiber when we're wanting to experience a healthy microbiome and just get that satiety.

    I watched your video this morning and started cooking in the crockpot this afternoon and ate it tonight. I didn't use thyme, kale or yellow lentils. I increased the amount of garlic, onion and red lentils and used a diced red bell pepper, but I did everything else the same and it turned out great. I have plenty for the week and even froze some of it. Ty!

    I need to put this on hold to finish watching later. Quick question, please: What is the difference between the different kinds of lentils? Do they have different flavors, nutritional value, texture, cooking time... or is it just the color? Maybe this is explained in the video and I will find out later...

      Yes there are differences. Red lentils for example cook quicker an turn out more mushy. For the nutritional value I HIGHLY recommend the free diet tracking app Cronometer. It has a huge food database where you can look up the nutritional value of foods. You can add recipes to it to see the nutritional value of the recipe. I don't usually use it to track my food. I mainly use it to track my weight, body fat, and look up the nutritional info of foods.

    Very delicious love the ingredients I too make it the only thing I don't mash the food I just let it cook on low heat also since we use pure olive oil when I serve the food I drizzle with olive oil we get all the flavor and taste and vitamins

      I use all types of lentils in soups, tacos, Shepard's pie. I make hummus with both brown and red lentils. They're packed full of nutrition. Lentils and mushrooms are great meat substitutes. LOVE them!
