You guys should really check out Ghost Stories (English dub). It is an experience that shouldn't be missed. Long story short, the anime flopped in Japan. When the rights were sold to dub it, they only asked the story not be changed. But everything else... well they got creative.

You might of missed the part where Jinwoo is trying to hide his strength. So being trapped with the spider works out for him. Remember he's not strong enough to win against S rank yet. If people found out he can get stronger he would be in great danger.
I dunno why ppl call this ep a Cliffhanger. It was a perfect timeto end the show after all the build up. Showing the a little bit of a boss fight and ending it would be a cliffhanger
