Hi, Love the sound of an Udu.
I bought one years ago at the Strawberry fair that had a big lump broken off the spout.
I finally got round to fixing it with Miliput, which worked a treat.
I now play it on a couple of tracks with a band I'm in, but I find mic-ing it up quite tricky.
Is this recording done with a sensitive room mic or do you have a mic or piezo inside it?
Can you recommend the best way to mic an Udu up in a stage setting please?

This piece finally made me get my own udu. And I’ve been enjoying using the same kind of mono delay with it.
Do you use sometimes multiple mics to pick up more sound depth (lows/highs)?
I got the LP #3. And I will use it in live performances, including many other instruments that I’ll loop.

Thanks my friend! I use the boss rc300 loop station and also the bose tonematch mixer.... They both have delay! I hope it helps!

Few months ago I bought the same udu from Latin percussion (LP 1400-C1 Claytone) and the finishing paint started to chip off after only 2 weeks of playing (nothing profesional, just as a hobby). I see that your paint is also chipped off but i guess you play it a lot... is that normal??? On other people's videos there is no chipped off paint so I'm a bit confused ...

where is the mic?
You said you used the Audix Adx10p to mic the udu inside, but how do you make it stay in place or what do you attach it to?
Sorry if it's a dumb question, I want to start learning the udu but don't have any prior percussion experience.
