Alright, This is my first day of quarantine and thank god I found your channel. Like literally Tarantino’s and Leone’s movies are my favourites. And early Bond movies I appreciate so much too.. and u have done reviews about those lately... thank you so much P.S. You are so likeable dude, hope you all the best.
Holy moly, thank you so much!! You just made my day with your comments:) If you have any film you'd like to see me review, all you have to do is ask! Good luck with the quarantine btw, I caught Covid early in the year and had to quarantine as well. Best wishes.
Kill Bill 1 was actually my first introduction to Quentin Tarantino. I had taken a side job at a movie theater and so that summer I had access to any movies that I wanted to see and as often as I wanted to see them. It was different than anything I had seen before and absolutely different than anything I would have liked to have seen up to that point. But for some reason I was hooked. Surprisingly I haven't gone back to watch the movies before that, but I would never miss any of the movies after it.
I mostly agree with your rankings, but I would bump Reservoir Dogs out of the top 3 and put Once Upon a Time in Hollywood in its place. If you want to do this for other directors, my other favorites are David Cronenberg and John Waters.
Interesting ranking, mine would be: 1. Django Unchained 2. Pulp Fiction 3. Inglourious Basterds 4. The Hateful Eight 5. Reservoir Dogs 6. Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood 7. Kill Bill 8. Jackie Brown 9. Death Proof
I've only seen 3 Tarantino films so far but I gotta say my favorite has to be Reservoir Dogs, the concept, the acting and the engrossing execution makes that film a masterpiece, I didn't understand it on my first watch but later on I grew to absolutely love it
Reservoir Dogs, but bigger is an excellent description. Those two films have something really similar and wonderful. They are one and two for me. Followed by KB.
9:54 "Artifically grainy." I mean, couldn't they achieve the same effect by filming it on 16mm film stock? I've seen Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi recently and it certainly was quite grainy. :P
I've never seen a top 10 video done correctly on CZcams on any topic. I've honestly never seen a single one of these garbage movies, they're all in last place for me
I strongly disagree with your choice of #1. Kill Bill 1 & 2 are just whitewashed samurai films. I think they're the worst that Tarantino made. #1 should be Pulp Fiction. And #2 should be Jackie Brown, #3 Reservoir Dogs, #4 Death Proof, and the rest is anyone's choice.

I really love this format for a long video deep dive.

The Thing is not a remake.
It's a prequel.
Putting Kill Bill in the top spot was the best part of your list.
Hi. Just found your channel. Got really good content on it.
What makes Tarantino an ‘Israeli’ director. He Jewish? I really didn’t know
He married an Israeli woman, and he lives in Tel Aviv now:)
9:54 "Artifically grainy." I mean, couldn't they achieve the same effect by filming it on 16mm film stock? I've seen Robert Rodriguez's El Mariachi recently and it certainly was quite grainy. :P
I mean the abundant grain was on purpose. Doesn't really matter how he did it.
I find Hateful Eight way more unpleasant than Inglorious Bastards.
I just made my video on this topic if anyone is interested in another take it would be highly appreciated!

Hes not Israeli
I know he's not, I am. And he lives here, or at least he did when I made the video.

I hate The Hatful Eight.
