Pit Boss Recipe: Dutch style BBQ Mussels

    Preparation: 20 minutes
    Ingredients
    2 kg fresh mussels
    300 g bacon slices
    50 g salted butter
    800g (Dutch) stir-fry vegetables
    2 to 3 tbsp Roquefort
    250 ml cooking cream
    baguette
    Chives (chives)
    additionally needed
    plancha/skillet (or other pan)
    In the video I use a skillet, but this recipe is also very suitable for the plancha
    Prepare a bbq with plancha for direct cooking with a temperature of 180°C.
    Meanwhile, rinse the mussels under cold running water. Discard any open or broken ones.
    Grill the bacon slices until crispy on the plancha. Set aside
    Put a knob of butter on the plancha and fry the stir-fry vegetables. Add the Roquefort and the cream and bring to the boil.
    Divide the mussels through the cream mixture and cook for 8 minutes until they all open. Discard closed mussels.
    Place the mussels on a large platter and crumble the bacon over them and garnish with chopped chives. Serve immediately with baguette.
