Description from Fandom:
Teru runs into Mob on the streets, with the latter sharing his troubles on Tsubomi moving. Teru tells him to be confident and gives him the advice to bring her a present.
Later, Teru confronts Mob during his unconscious rampage in the forest. He tries reasoning with his rival, unaware he isn't fully in control. After being blown away, Teru attempts to bind Mob with a psychic-imbued scarf hoping that he will calm down, to no avail. He uses his maximum power psychic barrier, tanking Mob's attacks without fighting back. Even so, the difference in ability is plain, and Teru finds himself easily overpowered. Teru reminds Mob of his own words that espers should never point their powers at people. However, ???% ignores him and throws Teru into a building.
The situation begins to spiral out of control as the destruction grows. The city begins to fall apart around the two, with buildings collapsing and the street breaking into pieces. Teru is ultimately hit with such force that his clothes are blown away, and the top of his scalp becomes bare. He panics, hearing the screaming of citizens caught in the crossfire. Using the limit of his powers, he shields and protects everyone from Mob's rampage, declaring himself as Mob's rival. His struggles manage to mentally awaken Mob before falling unconscious himself.

At this moment Teru was the Protagonist as he always dreamed he was. WHAT. A. CHAD
On the other hand, that feel when you realise that every Chad in town is actively attempting to cockblock beta male Mob.
The key thing is this time? It wasn't what he wanted. He didn't care about fame or Power, except in so much as that power could be used to stop what was going on.
He fixed his stance AND his mindset. What a perfect anime.
I was genuinely upset about fight in a good way😢. Beautiful character moment😢I think he might have been my favorite character.
My jaw dropped upon seeing that Teru didn't just evacuate the civilians in the park but the _whole goddamn city_

@@Hide-- Suzuki is actually debatable since the one going toes to toes against Mob at the end of ss2 is Suzuki who already saved up 20 years worth of energy, his base power is pretty much unknown. Also Mogami is kinda an evil spirit, so if we counting him God Dimple is gonna take a place in the top 3 too.
Top 3 in general would be Mob, God Dimple and Mogami
Top 3 espers would be Mob, Suzuki and Teru
I love that Teru is toned, this means he's exercising constantly and hard, he is doing his Best and I love him for that
It was such a stark difference compared to his build in season 1 as well, when Mob's ???% shredded his clothing and sent him and his school to the sky.
He is just skinny... not toned...

feel bad for Teru, always facing overpowered enemies and getting humiliated
And kept getting his hair wrecked. I still laugh but really sympathize with Teru in this fight
Except this time he truly redeemed himself. I didn't find his messed up hair funny because it's a homage to the first season when it was first seen as humiliating. This time, it's a result of him giving his all for standing up against the impossible and doing what is right.

@@ArkoWasStolen It actually is Mob. That "inner demon" is just the manifestation of all his repressed feelings and desires, and of his psychic powers. It is Mob in the purest sense, and it exists entirely because he spent so long denying his powers and emotions.

The moment Mob begging Teru to use all of his power to fight him breaks my heart, it is the nearest to suicidal thought in an anime. Poor guy.
No, it's not even remotely suicidal, he just wanted his friends to make sure they didn't get themselves meaninglessly and seriously hurt and/or killed
There are anime where characters commit full blown suicide, like Majo no tabitabi.

When you realise what could be possible if Mob isn't the good guy at some point.. And got the smallest glance of the idea at what he could be on the other way around.. This is what I feared about Mob. He is not just a regular joe, and the sad part is that society is the cause of his rampage..
Most of the time, Mob hold back when he fight.. Because his humanity keep him against it.
But if that humanity is shattered.. Good luck to anyone coming across his way.
mob had times close to become the villain but was saved by "friendship power" the esper who made mob live a life without his friends almost broke mob, but hekubo helped him to regain his senses that that was not his life, after that mob exorcises all the bad energy of that esper, and lately in other fight vs that esper, mob let him go and the esper do not more damage.
This is similar to their first battle, but instead of Mob trying to help Teru, Teru is trying to help mob, but Teru was defeated exactly the same way he was defeated

I know some people shed a tear or two while watching this fight, not because of their friendship and that the tables have turned but the fact that after the accident some people might have thought that Mob died in the car crash or had been deeply injured that he lost both consciousness & control over that ???% being but thankfully Mob was still alive. I didn't write 'is' to avoid spoilers.

Maybe i'm wrong but i noticed that teru in the first fight with mob when we saw mob destroy the school and teru was stripped naked he was kinda chubby like he didn't train his body and was solely counting on his powers. But he's kinda reaped here, to me it also shows the positive impact mob had on him on a mental and physical level.
This mans hair cannot get a break.
But this time it wasn't humiliating.
The first time the hair stripped from a kid with too much ego who needed to be taken down.
That time it was satisfying.
This time though, the hair was torn off from a hero who puts the needs of everyone besides himself and was willing to wake his friend up.
When the hair got torn off it was a showcase of far he has come.
This was tragic yet respectably.
Of you go from the 1st episode they always left it up to the audience that there was someone... something else. Then the episode when they 1st fight hanazawa even said what dod I awoken?
One small thing to note, Teru is actually pretty muscular here yet the first time Mob fought him he wasn't, he's been working on himself and his muscles too ever since their fight to improve himself without psychic powers.

Teru is truly a pure hearted guy he just hated the way he's world was... he was strongest but can't control he's abilities ... The abilities he has wanted guide who controls the powers but teru it self could not..and so he was controlled since he met mob. a simple with more power than him and now he has a guide a model to look forward but mod is a guy who needs a guide too but mentally then he met rengen arataka. And arataka can live whitout anyone but he needs something to rely on like scamming to camp!😅
