I don't hate the idea of map re-works to introduce infantry-only versions of maps, just the way they teased it. The map 'Redacted' was a huge success. I'd be okay with a future that brought re-worked all infantry versions of maps we already have (I can picture spots on Orbital, Renewal, Breakaway, etc.) but just be upfront about it. This could be our last season, but if we got a season 8 I don't think I'd mind adding a 3rd or 4th all infantry map along with another more fully fresh new map.
Oh, the AK5! I can still dismount all the pieces of this gun in my head, even though it was over 35 years ago I did my military service.

The only bitter part? So with the stadium we learn that we are actually getting one new map and one reworked map just like all the other seasons. While I liked the stadium as the only redeeming factor of Hourglass Dice was hood winked us yet again. If I'm not mistaken this is the first time DICE spaced out the release on some weapons and vehicles to the latter part of the season as well.

I find it incredibly stupid that the leviathan division items are in the battle pass when they have no relation to that season’s two factions.

@@Alpha33647 Those skins have leaked for awhile now, plus they have been show in past season and event trailers. Not only that, but Zain already got a battle pass legendary skin, plus it was also a tier 100. It just doesn’t make sense at all for those skins to be in this battle pass.

Trailer is very good except one thing and that is those camos/uniforms. They want to attract Call of Duty crowd it's obvious but those skins looks so stupid. Battlefield fanbase have been screaming that they want military looking people in Battlefield and DICE keep making festival outfits.

@@capolean2902 Arica Harbor one of the worst maps in any mode rush, control or even conquest, and if teams not balanced it will be just camping and sniping round, I think the good map will be the stadium one with good close combat like redacted and metro from bf4

Specifically said "2 NEW maps". Not reworked, new. So it was a lie. And weapons unavailable along with the new vehicle. This is what we waited for 5 months.
This is very underwhelming I expected a 128p map every season and chopped down version for 64p and then some more portal maps
we have gone back to 64 player maps because of last gen consoles struggling. they should just seperate last gen with current gen like rockstar did with GTA online in the early days
Wow, so we aren't even getting all the new weapons right away. They have to drip feed those as well. Pretty sad the way they stretch out everything now. I don' think any other game in the BF series previously did that. Setting a new precedent for the future.
the joys of live service gaming, i doubt we will ever go back to the style the older games had with DLCs having content because theres no way to make profit off that where having a "battlepass" system makes players want the other cosmetics etc
Great video as always, but man... I can't help but feel the disappointment set in about this season. The last season was extended twice, pushing us into half a year of waiting, and all we're getting is the same amount of content as always. Worse even, because now they're splitting it even more to pad the season which makes the launch feel even more lackluster. 2 new weapons and a new map are it for 2+ months, then a REWORKED map, a new weapon, and a vehicle after that.
Exactly - You just said the Point. I stopped playing after I completed the season battle pass. So they think that timing the release of season stuff later in the season with a patch will make me play more.

My biggest complaint is - Still No Naval Vehicles!!! Why are people not b*&R%$ing about that. For one is because EA has lost so many of it's original purchasing customers, that the new base don't even realize that it had ships! Even when the game was originally released, there was a ship in the beginning of the loading. Battlefield without any ships! I definitely, will not buy the new Battlefield until I see what the full package is. If the destruction is not there and if No Land, Air, and Sea, then no buy for me.

A little thing i noticed, if you pause it right, on the 5:07 mark, we can see the Liz character Also using the new LMG but! with a different magazine.
On a rewatch of the trailer I found something interesting. In this vid, its at 1:55. The soldier on the left has an SFAR. But it has no grenade launcher attached. Perhaps they're adjusting the attachment options for it?
Hardly anyone expected a Season 7. So we got it and people are still whining.

We waited so long for this,
And instead of making double to content, they split the content we were expecting in half and spread it across the likely even longer season.
On top of that, i bet we’re still gonna have slow progression and a mid af mid season game mode and no other weapons.
We don’t even get new take down’s anymore.
Im usually the optimistic one, i would be happy if it wasn’t for the fact we had to wait so damn long.
I know their devoting more resources to the next battlefield, but come on.
Stadium better be way better than it used to be.

blame the spread out content on the shit battleroyale genre, it makes them money over a long period of time unlike how DLC/Expansions worked back with bf4

So many people still always complaining. By now people should have learned we are not going to ever get some amazing update that is going to radically transform this game into what we all hoped it would be at launch. This game is clearly operating on minimum staff. The volume and frequency of content is overwhelming evident of that. I for one made peace with that a long time ago and would rather them devote the bulk of their resources to making BF2025 something special. EA and Dice were never going to turn this game around AND make the next game good (hopefully.) We can’t have it both ways so what do you want? In the meantime I am grateful that they have not abandoned this game completely and continue to support it even if it is this limited content capacity. It’s better than what would’ve been a complete and total drought of all content from launch all the way until next year’s holiday release. So can we finally stop bashing Dice and by extension the probably very few devs who are working hard just trying to do their best with what they’ve got? If you are at all still disappointed or surprised with season 7 after all this time then I’m sorry but you should’ve learned to temper your expectations a long time ago. Play it or don’t play it and keep your overstated opinions on the overwhelming obvious to yourselves already.
is the AK5C coming over as a portal type weapons with limited attachments and skins?
No it will come as normal assault rifle not portal weapon, but I hope it will have good rpm as in bf4 it has 700 rate of fire only!
Cad can you use your influencer status to suggest 2 things for me?:
1. Make it so that standard RUSH Games require less than 16 players to start, like 4-12 would be WAY better. because trying to get a game of rush going on the regular sized version is like impossible. 16 player start is not attainable on last gen, needs to be lowered, the portal version of Rush is the game starts at 4 players. which is so much better..
2. Please ask DICE to make multiple TDM maps of the same maps, there are lots of examples of how you could make 1 map into 3 separate smaller maps, and with the addition of Stadium is totally plausible, they could remap some of them to play as TDM/Rush too.
Also; ily keep up the good work, I still havent heard off EA in relation to my Creator Network application I submitted last year lol and I stream this game and praise it daily because I genuinely enjoy it

Hi Cad: Question. Just a couple days ago it would appear that BF2042 has turned-off cross-play. Which means now when I try to to get into a 128 Conquest map there is nobody playing. I'm on PC. What gives? Thanks
You can just turn it back on in the options. No idea why it turned off.

Ok I just tried all modes. On the screen where you are waiting for the game to connect to a map it says "cross-play off". I've never seen that message before.

The update looks great, I think, I wish these recoil changes would have come earlier though.
So... 5 full months between new content additions and we get 2 guns, a gadgetn a new map, and a reworked part of the map. The new vehicle and the lmg are coming in 7.2, so another 2 months later.
This is so dissapointing to me. I have already been waiting for a lot of new gameplay content and instead we get so little.
All the new guns are straight from BF4
I generally agree with your feelings, but we forget that this game is 2+ years old. With the state of the indilustry, we're lucky they still support it all

I'm very excited about all the BF4 content. So many people bash this game and say how much better 4 is, but now we're getting 4 stuff, so that's great. I personally loved both of the guns coming, and I'm super excited about the new LMG because those are my favorite weapons

It's the SRAW, entirely different weapon, it's wire/laser guided and you guide it from the launcher PoV just like BF4 and the AT4 from BFBC2, it's a great addition if they managed to make the tracking good without lag.
I love the new look of the coming season, excited as im Bolivian, so a map that is very close to my heart will be the the port town near Atacama desert. Looks really good, urban warfare is very intense and gritty, absolutely love the stadium level aswell. I cannot say how much battlefield means to my life, been a fan since playing battlefield 1942, got pretty much all the games in the franchise, im never disappointed and has brought many laughs and good times to my life ❤

After half a year we got one map (let's pour clean wine, if someone says there are two then he's lost) a few skins, minimum weapons and vehicles and that's basically it. A few bug fixes and some minor tweaks.
Destruction? Minimal. Soundtrack tum tum tum? No. The server browser must have died in the developers' minds and no one knows it anymore.
The destruction on the map looked great, what are you talking about? That entire city is destructible

why are they adding yet another assault rifle and smg have an over abundance of these need more marksman, a proper sniper rifle and utility weapons
sadly not enough vets that used snipers are asking for something new, the playerbase is mostly just people that filter between COD/Fortnite etc so they just want bullet spam rather than precision long range engagement.

Saying stadium is a new map is misleading, but I also believe it's going to be significantly different than the stadium we had previously. Likely more than just a rework with expanded areas and brand new areas in and around the stadium. Again, still a bit misleading, but I don't think it's going to be just stadium as it was with some added cover

5:19 I really hope they extend the airspace, especially in Spearhead, for these things, on Spearhead, it's quite a small airspace for both helis and jets, and bow if they're adding bombers I think they should make it bigger.
