Restoration Video Overview
In today's video we have restored a very old antique motor winding machine. It took us a lot of hard work to restore this machine Because it was antique rusty and broken And we also succeeded in restoring it.

It's not restored because it does not work. That dial gear is not making contact with the screw gear.
A new dial gear needs to be machined.
I woukd have straightened or replaced the bent screw seen during reassembly. Did you check if the dial was correctly calibrated as to position? Spray painting the screws and other small hardware was a bit amateurish, should have been polished and the heads cleaned up on all the screws and bolts. Did you lube/grease the gears where they interact with the other gears? Did not see a function test to see if it actually worked as intended either. Not the best or cleanest restoration I have seen. Looks nice, but appearances can be deceiving. Nice cosmetic job, but I have reservations about the rest.
Does not seem to work in the end, very dissapointing
He just do this for the views. Who care if it's work then
@@Bottaonesta If it does not work it is not much of a restoration, is it? Any idiot can do cosmetic work, the artistry is in making it work again.
I say the same...
OK you've cleaned it up nicely and it will work once you've corrected a couple of small mistakes. The middle shaft is designed to slide to select 2 different winding speeds, hence the 2 different scales on the dial. At 20:40 on the middle shaft you have the big drive gear on the wrong way round. Look at the layout of the gears at 1:00 and you can see the middle shaft is actuall stuck half way between gears. At 1:00 if the shaft was fully to the left then the smaller gear on the input shaft (furthest away from the handle) is driving the winding shaft and you read the outer scale on the dial. If the shaft is fully to the right the bigger gear (nearest the handle) is turning the small gear on the middle shaft for high speed winding and you read the inner scale. Both gears on the middle shaft can't be engaged with the input shaft gears at the same time. PS the close up shots were excellent and the editing was just about right. Don't listen to the complainers. The ones commenting on your English probably wouldn't make half as good a job of translating into your first language. We all knew what you are meaning so why bother commenting.
You explained all this so carefully. When I shared the video with my father, he told me the same thing and told me the mistakes I had made.
I felt very happy to see you watching the video from someone so big and appreciating me.
21:23 это Before! After!
This same mistake I make every time I do it again 😅
Not bad but next time please use a sand blaster and nickel plating and replace the screws so that it works a lot better.
We would definitely use send boosting if we had it. we are going to say buy to it soon
"VERY CAREFULLY." *starts ramming it with a hammer*
Yes I know because it is very delicate and breaks.
You are right, I also thought the same but one of my friends gave me the idea.
Very disappointed finally. I thought to seen how it works
Sorry🙄
On voudrai voir une réalisation. Merci
Use the paint stripper carefully. has he proceeds to pour it like gravy 😂
Why did our ancestors have the most complex machines for the easiest of tasks 😂
Why didn't you show it winding wire? I don't think I'm alone when I say I really wanted to see it in action!
I picked you up with whatever came to me
Very Thanks ❤
Champion, nice! I think Albert Champion when I see this, 'I wonder if it had anything to do with that guy?'
Amazing how you restored that motor winder.
Nice video!
I think, though, that mixing eno (an antacid) and citric acid (an acid) together just makes a neutral solution. Possibly errs on the side of acidic with the addition of vinegar (another weak acid) but better off using acid or alkali alone, rather than mixing.
Hmmm You are right but we had to experiment on this ?
I believe you might've mixed up the "Before" and "After" part at the end, but beyond that it was a nice restoration.
Thanks Brother 😇
“It’s perfect”
Thank you so much ❤
A very nice Restoration I might say .
Thank you kindly❤
😊
You guys did a great job, very beautiful, careful and meticulous. It's great that you've restored that motor winding machine. The problem is that the shaft you play is too careful, the sliding ring is worn out, when winding the wire it slips out of the mold, you do not lubricate the sliding bearing.. this machine was bought in China. 15 dollars, You may think it's ancient, but in our country many people are still using it. Now they use faster gearshift machines
Thank you very much! You Are Right ❤
21:33 the dial isn't turning
Very good 👍
I was kind of hoping you would show what it actually does. What the heck is a motor winder? Overall, good restoration. My eyebrows went up a couple of times, trying to figure out your process. What is ENO?
We Want To See Results Of ENO
ENO is a bicarbonate of soda based antacid.
As for the device, it is used to wind the magnetic coils used in electric motors.
As the handle is rotated, the axle turns and the coils of wire are wound. The indicators would keep a mechanical record of the number of turns in each coil of wire. This is to ensure each coil has the same number of turns as any other coil.
Overall a great job. The only things I would have done differently would be to either hot or cold blue everything except the frame and to add a little grease or oil for smoother rotations. Keep up the great content.
good job
Thanks
Nice 👍
Thanks ✌
Sand blasting would of been easier
Yes Right
Had my attention until that new label, lol. Still a very satisfying restoration. 😊
How awesome. That looks so beautiful after renovation 👍👍
It really is!😇
I love it from my heart
Amazing how you restored that motor winder. It looks much better than before. Excellent work.
You’d have saved yourself time and energy by using a sandblaster. Replacing screws might have been better. Thank you for your time.
Yes You Are Right We need sand blasting and we will get it soon
👍
Very good job
Thanks all❤
😎
Why will you paint a screw?
Because he survived the rust completely
Where in the He- are you guys getting all this stuff caked in rust & mud? That isn’t normal! By any means! That’s intentional! I go to find that stuff & it may be rusty, but not caked in mud like you threw it out on the lawn for a few days for dramatic effect & click bait for your videos. It looks more fake the more caked on crap is. Just once I’d like to see something more normal & less dramatic like the Tinker, Tool restoration, & mechanics channel does. They just get stuff at yard sells and restore it. No caked on bs. I see some dirt on their items or a few cob webs from sitting in old antique shops, but not like this crap in this video. Same goes for the toy restoration vids. I can tell the fake click bait ones from the real ones, because the toy cars aren’t caked in mud & rust. They have an average amount that would happen normally. I’m not clicking on another one of your vids until you have normal wear for the age of the item. Not something you picked up at a antique shop & then let it set in the rain a good week to really destroy it more for dramatic effect. I appreciate the effort in this vid. So I’ll give this one a thumbs up, but please for the love of god show us normal wear & tear. That means dust it off a bit before you start recording & stop the dramatic harsh scraping bs of caked on crap most ppl would of wiped off before taking the item home! No antique shop in their right mind would sell me a caked on rusty dirty peace of crap. Facts!
Thank you for your long feedback, I really appreciate you, tell me who things. I will try to follow everything you told me. But there are many people like you who also like these things. A lot of hard work goes into every other video of ours.
@@aahands I thanked you for you hard work. No doubt you worked hard, but the caked on stuff is what will turn true loyal ASMR viewers off, because the fake videos do that. That’s why I was honest. I saw you were trying hard & gave you a heads up. Follow The Tool Repair Guy, Tinker Restoration, and there’s a few more I’m trying to remember. One fixes a candy dropper so you can search him. He does really well at restoring the candy dropper that the candy channels are reacting to his vids. I watch these kinds of vids, because I have a hard time sleeping with my PTSD from the war. I was a medic & up all hours during the war & the sounds help me sleep & I love seeing the finished produce. If I see a new up & coming channel that needs just a little bit of a nudge I’ll do that & be honest. It an army thing. How do you know what mistakes you’re making to turn off the real viewers like me that will turn your vids on every night to enjoy & fall asleep to if someone isn’t honest & lets you know. That’s why I said thank you for the video. Keep up the good work & don’t worry you’re not the only one working hard making that mistake. One other guy did the same thing with a silver plate. Somehow he got rust all over it. I think he put it in a tub of water with something that rusts & doesn’t tarnish & nobody clued him in that copper & silver doesn’t rust. It tarnishes. Anyways, the rest of the video looks great. Just show normal wear & tear. Don’t be like the fake videos that walk in the forest & all the sudden finds and iPhone caked in mud & rust. Look up fake restoration videos on CZcams & there’s a guy with a video pointing out the same things the rest of us avid ASMR viewers see. My son has his own account too. His autistic & the restoration channels help soothe him with the ASMR. We see so many true channels work hard at it while others cut corners & get click bait. I know you don’t want to do that. Those channels are forever trying & stressing trying to out do themselves creating click bait. If you just show normal wear & tear us true viewers will stay loyal & subscribed & you’ll get our views with out having to work so hard at making bazar click bait. We will know you’re authentic & flock to you. Hang in there. Other than that you did very well. 🤘🏼
❤❤❤
I was curious how this machine works. In the end I couldn't understand what she does.
This machine is used for coal vending which is very antique.
Coal vending? I would like to see it in action.
antique = In the time from 800 B.C. to 600 A.D. people were already winding electric motors?
Antiques = 100 Years
West my time
Why ?
Nice video
Very nice😇
nicely done, now to use it in future restorations ;)
That's the plan!❤
@@aahands awesome
What ?.
🤔😅
great job but got a couple of pictures backwards at the end
Thanks ❤❤ Okey Next Time
Why do you need to use wire brushes.. just put the whole thing in the sandblaster.. derr..
You are absolutely right but we don't have the budget to buy it right now. 😢
Please use the right tools for your restoration. 😢
Can you tell me which tools we are using wrongly and which ones are right in your opinion?
@@aahands well it starts at 1:33 just use a normal wrench not a pliers. Also the screwdriver is not the right size.
Its Wind Moter Coils

Curious is the ENO cancels out some of the vinegar acidity?
we just experimented 👈🏻
🙄🙄
Restoration seems pretty incomplete to me. Also lots of movements during the after "test".
Nice to polish the bars, but no nickel plating ? Doesn't look like it got a correct rust proof treatment. One of the gears looks broken and would have needed some welding to fix it. Some bolts have just been cleaned, no filing to fix it.
It's a nice job, but not the best one i've seen on CZcams.
You are absolutely right, we don't have anything that we can use on this.
Nice restoration do hath chynail professional video 🤔👍
Will do soon❤
Poco serio
We are going to buy very soon, we don't have it right now
And?, test it...
Sorry, but the audio was completely over the top and very intrusive.
I tried my best. What did you find wrong?
It seems like you skipped several steps
But I have completed all the steps 🤔
👌
❤❤❤
you spend more time just looking at a pince
😅
Really
Why’d you put all that dirt in the “Rust Eater”?
I really don't know, I just started thinking after hearing your question.
Is it winding that's the question.
Really ?
👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍👏👍🥃🥃🥃
En fait, ça sert à quoi ?
This is an old coil winding machine
Why so much dramatic’s?
What Thing ?
Chapuza
I don't understand, what does that machine do anyway?
People rewind motor windings with it. The dial with the needle counts number of turns. The coil holder or bobbin is mounted on the long screw shaft. The wire is fed by hand.
That's It ( Explane Good )
Really sorry mate, but I had to give up watching after 3 minutes. All the hectic cuts and weird frame rate or sped up footage was really painful to watch. Calm it down. Sounds like a good result from all the positive comments, though. No offence intended. ❤
I am sorry for that We Are Improving Everything
We put all our efforts into making them the best.
I didn't understand what it is
This is an old coil winding machine
So do l...l think better you make an little demonstration about it
🤦♀😂
hello
Hi Bro
The audio is mesmerising
But Why ?
Not testing for lead paint ? Strange .
Can you tell me how to test this?
La fin est un travail de sagouin !!! C'est du boulot salopé et c'est ni fait, ni à faire !!!
I definitely wouldn't call this a restoration video. Nothing was really done except clean up and repaint this looked like an amateur. Do better
Sorry mate but the sound effects are just too annoying.
Ooo I am Sorry Too
Your work is fantastic though.@@aahands
Why use the crap sound over. Sorry had to switch off.
i sorry with this thing
Its probably fake sadly
What did you find wrong in it? ?
Didn't find anything just knowing the chances of most repair vids are fake
what didn't you like about it ?
