    Before I know it, Mom's watching Inuyasha with me every night, totally hooked. Fast forward ~ 15 years and she's every bit as into anime as I am. (For instance, I introduced her to Highschool of the Dead and she got mad at me 'cuz there were only ever 12 episodes lol)

    I agree Inuyasha is one of the best anime ever. It was my gateway anime back in High School and always has been my personal favorite.
    I like the theory that Miroku and Sango are Kagomes ancestors; it's rather mind blowing.
    Though, I think there needs to be a theory video on Kagomes mother. How is her mother so nonchalant about allowing her daughter to travel in time to such a dangerous world? It's almost as though her mother knows something....
    If this was covered already in the series, I forgot.

    • @TheFangirlWatches

      I was on my way out of high school when InuYasha started on Adult Swim. On of my first purchases as an adult was the series (or all that was out at that point) in Japanese because the US release was too slow! I literally started dreaming in Japanese after watching all those discs! lol
      With the mother, I kind of wonder if Kagome's situation is common knowledge in their household. Like, one of those things where a kid is adopted, and everyone but that kid knows. I agree that Kagome's mom was very laid back about the time traveling. I mean, I'm sure she read at least a few books in school about how dangerous the Feudal Era was, but the only time mom seemed scared was when the well disappeared. So, maybe everyone else knew that Kagome was meant to stay in the past, but they wanted her to figure that out for herself. It is kind of weird that Hojo has his family tree from back then, and the Japanese are notoriously good at keeping those types of records, so anyone can find their ancestry records, yet Kagome never investigates her own lineage!

    Here's a theory for you: From when I watched this anime intensely I came to the conclusion that InuYasha is the reincarnation of the priestess Midoriko. I know, I know...before you go and say it. (''But there are all kinds of forums and discussions about this topic'') I didn't know they existed until I actually looked into it to confirm or disprove my belief. There's 3 key factors that sort of explain my hypothesis.
    1. Notice, InuYasha is literally the ONLY one in the entire series whom is capable of going to Kagome's time period WITHOUT the Shikon No Tama or at least having a shard. Not even Kagome can time travel without the jewel or shards of the jewel in her possession. The episode ''Go back to your own time Kagome!'' is a prime example of this. Fearing the journey ahead becoming more and more dangerous, InuYasha sought to push Kagome down the well to return her to her proper time and place. He snatched the shards of the jewel she possessed before doing so, disabling her from returning to the feudal era. It was only when the jewel fragment was INSIDE of the well in the soil and her digging from her time period to barely reach the feudal era. InuYasha of course has never needed the jewel to go back and forth because of course, he has the original jewel creator's soul (or a small sliver of it) still part of him. I know what some of you might be thinking: ''But Midoriko's soul was forced out of her body and ensnared within the jewel to lock away the demon she was fighting!'' My response would be: ''It's still possible for InuYasha to retain even the smallest bit of her soul. How? See no further than the episode when Kikyo was brought back to life from being nothing but a pile of bone and ash. Although Kikyo didn't fully take all of her soul back, Kagome held on to it and their soul was shared from that moment on.''
    2. In the episode where Midoriko's origin was explained, there was a scene where Myoga was allowed entrance into her sacred cave. When the demon Midoriko was frozen in the stalagmite with comes back to life (due to the presence of the jewel brought on by Myoga) Myoga himself claims he swore up and down Midoriko saved his life when ''she'' cut the demon down with her sword. Although, InuYasha claims HE is the one who saved Myoga. Could it be that Myoga was witnessing Midoriko because she was within InuYasha and wanted him to catch a glimpse of her for just a moment? I think it's highly plausible, as this episode has 1 more clue to reveal by the end of the episode.
    3. Nearing the end of the episode it is mentioned that Midoriko couldn't have fought all of those myriads of demons all by herself without SOME sort of companion by her side. (When suddenly the screen then fades to a scene with Kirara in the frame standing beside Midoriko) this could also explain why InuYasha has such a strong bond with Kirara. Could Kirara potentially be sensing the remaining bits of Midoriko's soul with him? She seems to trust Inuyasha with her life. Although other characters do too, Kirara actually let InuYasha practice his Windscar technique on her! (Well, not actually use it on her but let him see the fissure of combining demonic energy needed to invoke the Windscar at least) Kirara also remained in the village where Sango and Kohaku grew up. The same village near Midoriko's cave. Coincidence? I think not!
    So, I'm sorry I've written an essay here but it's something I'm pretty passionate about. xD Let me know what you think?
    Also, anyone else notice the episode where Shippo was all of a sudden able to just pick up InuYasha's Tetsusaiga without being zapped all to Hell? I mean, he is 100% demon after-all yes? What gives? Someone fucked up.

      If you've ever watched the Inuyasha movies, theres one where it mentions that time flows differently when she is in the feudal era, since the enemy cast this type of power that makes time freeze and she is the only one able to move. My theory is that Kagome does not age when she is in the feudal era. Maybe because it isn't the time she lives in. If that's the case, then she might even outlive Inuyasha. Maybe she starts to age again once she is in her time, probably around after past Kagome goes to the feudal era to be with Inuyasha and the others at the end of the show. It makes sense because she has friends who don't know her secret of time traveling, so it leaves them from wondering what happened to their friend who suddenly disappeared

    • @lordnul1708
      @lordnul1708 Před 4 lety +2

      @@user-ou5hn3jz4e except in the actual main series time moves at the same pace (ie a few days in the Feudal Era is the same amount in the modern era) as evidenced by Kagome's grandfather having to constantly supply medical excuses for her whenever she goes back in time. Hence why in that same movie Hojo practically loads her arms up with health foods.
      This plus the time magic not working on Kagome in the movie suggests (to me anyway) that the reason it doesn't effect her or anything she brings is because she and those items are essentially proof that the movie villain's plan was doomed to not succeed in accordance with some cosmic laws or what have you. That or immunity to the ripple effect (ie changing the past alters memories, changes photographs etc) applies to the body as well as the mind.

      I think the not stating your feelings is a very Japanese cultural thing, that's supposedly why animes always beat us over the head with the character's feelings because the Japanese real-life people are so suppressed emotionally. So, I'd believe that Sesshomaru has feelings for Rin that he'll never verbalize. And I think he does love her, but whether that's romantic or as a paternal figure, it's hard to say since we don't know his feelings, but either way seems plausible.

Also I strongly believe it could be Kohaku, you have to consider the fact that it is the feudal era, even Inuyasha's mother was not a commoner , had she been, there would not even be an issue. For Inuyasha to marry a commoner was acceptable in the end he was just a half demon. While Sheshoumaru was not only a full fledged demon, but also a Demon Lord, it is he alone who inherits his fathers position, as a dog God.So naturally he had the right for a mate from the most highest rank of his species....I don't think Sheshoumaru considered Rin as his future mate,but rather in the same manner as he did view Jaken, as a companion.

      No. It was not written by Rumiko Takahashi. It is common knowledge that manga writer often do not ever have control over what they do in anime CD Dramas, they just have to sign it off with the franchise name "Inuyasha". It seems to serve as fan service. The characters, story, and entire scenario in the CD was a bit absurd so I highly doubt it's canon. Rin is also still still INCREDIBLY young there. Where Rumiko wrote the cast reacting deplored at the thought of Miroku proposing to a 11 year old girl, Rumiko did not write that CD. Either way, the thought of Sesshomaru proposing to Rin is a bit twisted and perverted, given that he met her and watched over her when she was 8.

      +Vicky Flores Glad to hear you think that lol. But I don't put much stock in it. There's a lot of Inuyasha that's filler created by the anime company which Rumiko does not always have control of, keep in mind. For example that flower chick who Koga asked to marry when she was a little girl then in the end of the final act you see them married, was not canonical to the manga. Rumiko just completely forgot to tie up Koga's story arch so the anime board took their liberties and ran off w/ what they wanted. It's obvious the anime is kind of selling off with that type of idea and agreeing with it, but Rumiko has never explicitly agreed and if anything, the things she writes and the themes she follows suggests very strongly that she would not agree with the pairing. (W/Koharu and Miroku, as well as her couples in all her manga seeing each other as equals and disobeying one another.)But she is the type to be susceptible to popular vote to appease her fans, I DO hope she doesn't do so here.

    I have been rewatching Inuyacha‘s Animation and Movies recently, and came across this video randomly. I originally was going to left a message about that CD drama but scrolled down and found sooooooo many sooooooo many people kinda of just really annoyed by this Rin and Sesshomaru relationship idea.
    I would like to point out that the meaning of a male giving a female Kimono (Sesshomaru gives Rin Kimono both in Manga and Anima) in War State(Senggoku) Period, it was often considered as a love token for engagement, that's being said, Sesshomaru gives Rin the choice to consider to be his fiance.
    There were 2 limited edition Lucky Charm(amulet) released in 2009 drawn by Takahashi Sensei to celebrate the final chapter was published. The Lucky Charms featured 2 couples, Inuyacha X Kagome and Sesshomaru X Rin. On the charm of InuKago, it says “Love Achievement" and SesshoRin's was "一蓮托生”, the origin of the phrase is from Buddhism, meaning we shall live and die together. This happened after that proposal CD drama was released.
    Not trying to start an argument, I do understand some of us are deeply bothered by this idea.
    Oh and also, last but not least!!! I have another theory, the story between 2 time line can actually happen in two parallel universes!!!

  • @catief1031
    @catief1031 Před 7 lety +8

    Interesting theory. I like the idea of Kagome being descended from Miroku and Sango.
    Btw, your ancestor estimate is real low at 50. The number of ancestors increase exponentially, so you go from 4 grandparents to 8 great-grandparents to 16 gg-grandparents. You reach 64 individuals at greatx4 grandparents (~120 years ago). It gets *really* large at 500 years.
    Also, I don't think we should rule out a demon ancestor. At about 300 years (assuming unique individual ancestors), one demon ancestor would give the current day descendant about ~0.003% of their DNA, if none of it was lost in the genetic shuffle after 10+ generations. Which since you could possibly inherit only 23% from one parent's parent (27% from the other grandparent), it's highly possible. Unless in the case of mitochondrial or Y-chromosome, but that'd require an unbroken male line from a male demon or female line from a female demon.
    Side note, I like to study genetics and family trees in my spare time.

    personally I think demon blood would not weaken spiritual power, because not all demons are naturally evil as mikos are not all good. if her spiritual blood was strong enough it can supress the demon traits and after generations it would be minimal demonic blood to truly factor, it would also explain her tolerance to several demonic essences that has affected other highly respected spiritual people. I love the sango and miroku idea, but I don't think demon blood should be a factor to counting it out. there has been other spiritual characters that either became or are demonic, either by blood, magic, or even birth. please don't think I'm hating, I love all your theories, just these are factors I remember from my own research.

      That CD is not canon, and it's unlikely Rumiko Takahashi had anything to do with it.
      She made it clear she disapproved of adult/child relationships. Koharu episode, remember?
      Also, Koharu was older than Rin is. Koharu was eleven, Rin is eight.
      Miroku was fifteen. Sesshomaru is around 700-800 years old, physically nineteen.
      They didn't even approve of Miroku/Koharu when Koharu was a legal adult (14). They reacted differently then they usually would have.
      Speaking of the Radio dramas, it's just crack fanfic.. All of them are.
      No one's going to do a TONGUE TWISTER! Why would they ever do that? Sesshomaru would absolutely never!
      In one of them, though, you do meet Kagome's actual ancestors (or what I assume to be).
      It's people who look exactly like Grandpa Higurashi, Mama Higurashi, Ayumi (her friend) and Sota. Some of them even have similar names (Sota, I believe).
      This would imply that Ayumi could be related to her in some way...

He also told a young girl he’d marry her once she became a woman, & she held on to that even when he accidentally stumbled into that same village many years later.

    I love this theory!! (I am a new watcher to your videos and also a new subscriber, yay!) However, I'd like to address one thing:
    I've always found Sesshomaru a fatherly figure to Rin, although it's possible they do get together with Rin's coming of age. It'd be nice to see a father-daughter relationship, especially when most of the main characters get together, and that love, existing between demons and humans, doesn't always have to be 'romantic.' I believe Sesshomaru's mother referred to their relationship open-endedly at one point (where she says the Sess isn't that different than his father), but I love to see what other people think!
    It's also great to see a bit of a father and son/daughter relationship, especially since... everyone's fathers in the show are practically non-existent or dead? (I mean, what happened to Kagome's dad? That would be a great theory video to look at!) With the lack of fatherly affection throughout the whole series, Sess and Rin's familial relationship seems to fill that hole, especially since Sess isn't one to dote on a child and it's interesting to see his character development. He, in my opinion, lacks the most connection to his family and Rin is a stepping stone.
    Anyways, love the theory! I would love to see more videos like these! :D

    In the endd Sesshomaru, main thing in inuyasha was to understand why his father, A NOBLE KING BLOODLINE LOVED A MERE MORTAL HUMAN and cared for her. He first hated his father because he sees this a blasphemy of their noble bloodline and hated inyuasha's existence too. In the end of the series, he found the answer by the existence of Ren. He found an answer of how a mortal existence filled some void of his immortal life.

    Maybe in Kohaku, but Rumiko Takahashi definitely disapproves of SessRin, as the whole Koharu situation, they all disliked the idea of Miroku asking a child to bear his children (and falling in love with a child is in a similar category, though doesn't necessarily have the same implications).

      Metamorphesis People Sesshomaru and Rin are a thing. Yes he is over 500 years old but in human years he is 19 years old and and yes rin is about 8 when they meet but is 11 by the end of the series, like said in this video she will most likely grow to most likely love him. Think about it like this Inuyasha's mother was 17-19 when she fell in love with Inuyasha's father. He was believed to be about 3000+ years old, and in human years 30's - 40 years old there is a very big difference. Rin adores Sesshomaru and most likely when she comes of age will fall in love with him. Rin is not supposed to make a decission until she is of age meaning when she will be travelling with Sesshomaru again when she will be 16-18 years old. Do not judge they will be 3 or even 1 year apart by the time they are back together.
      I understand you opinion but in my opinion there is not father and daughter relationship and there is more of a love interest.

    I'll be honest, I don't think there is any validity to any Inuyasha theories out there. Let me make this clear, I LOVE INUYASHA. Discovered it when I was 6 years old and loved it ever since (I'm now 23..) but I was actually quite disappointed when I heard the creator speak on certain topics.
    For example, when asked about the Inuyasha timeline....because it's obvious that Kagome is just starting highschool when the series begins but doesn't seem to progress at all or age even though 8 seasons make up the first series (+ they have SO many adventures that would take up so much time), the creator simply said "It's a manga! The time doesn't matter".
    Honestly, this really disappointed me as it made it sound like deep detail, like time, didn't matter. So I just don't think there is any actual reason behind these coincidences. It's fun to discuss of course, and I love that people keep talking about this series. But I do not think there is any more to it than there was.
    All that said, interesting video! I love that it got a conversation going :)

The well probably would have been dismissed over time and inevitably destroyed due to progress without intervention. And as they were the only two who would have known the story and why the tree and the well were important, it makes sense that they would be her ancestors. That’s a really good theory. They were always around--then in the past 100 or so years they decided to go in hiding or were erased from existence for some unknown reason? There's only a couple examples where they appear in her world--and a lot of them seem to be more because of Kagome's influence.

    • @kalla6674
      @kalla6674 Před 7 lety

      I might be wrong, but I thought it was sort of implied that the past Kagome goes into is actually a parallel world from her own, that's why there are not demons nor were they ever in her world. I mean I imagine the course of Japanese history and world history for that matter would've been greatly altered if there were actual demons. Kagome's history class seems to be pretty much the same as a real Japanese history class, where the texts from that era might have been written by people who believed in supernatural beings, I would think the mentions would've have been far more frequent and detailed if they actually regularly saw them. What I mean is that if there was some sort of mass extinction of demons in Kagome's world in the last few centuries, you'd think some historical memory of it would be maintained. That the historical descriptions of them would be so numerous and detailed that modern scholars couldn't possibly dismiss them as mere superstition. You'd think there'd be physical evidence of their previous existence and that people in her world would think of demons not as something that never existed, but as something that did exist in the past, but just aren't around anymore. However, if it was a parallel world then it makes sense that people in Kagome's world wouldn't have any idea about demons. Of course this theory runs into problems with Kikyo's soul and the Shikon Jewel. But I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the jewel could cross dimensions and take Kikyo's soul with it. The jewel itself seems to contain an alternative dimension within it.

  • @EdslilNeko
    @EdslilNeko Před 7 lety +14

    Actually, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong about this, but I don't think that half demons CAN breed. We see a few different half demons in the show: Shiori, Inuyasha, Jinenji, etc (not including Narraku of course 'cause he wasn't born that way). But I don't recall there ever being anyone who had a demon grandparent or anything like that. In real life, when two different species manage to have a hybrid child, a good example is mules, the offspring is often infertile. So it would make sense that a child who is part human, part demon, two wildly different species, wouldn't be able to have children themselves. So Kagome couldn't be her own ancestor also because I don't think her and InuYasha could have had any kids.

    • @EdslilNeko
      @EdslilNeko Před 7 lety +3

      Yeah, it's tough to say. I think the main evidence for it is that I can't remember anyone being less than half demon over the course of the show. No 1/4 demons, or anyone with a way back ancestor who was a demon or anything like that. You'd think, considering InuYasha's parentage is a big part of the show, that we'd see at least one part-demon who was less than half. But I sure can't remember any.

    • @inuloveskago
      @inuloveskago Před 7 lety +5

      LexofGotham I don't think the hybrid theory works for Inuyasha though because he isn't an animal. Or I should say that demons in the series aren't part animals, they're mystical beings. A dog demon isn't a DOG demon but just a demon that looks like a dog, if that makes sense. We can't really apply animal gene theories to demons in this series any more than we can apply them to fairies or mermaids.

    • @EdslilNeko
      @EdslilNeko Před 7 lety

      I didn't mean it in the sense that he's an animal, I meant it more in the sense that demons and humans are not the same species. The mystical beings thing could explain why they /are/ able to breed with humans successfully, like say stories about children who are part faerie or werewolf or other supernatural creature. But in this case, since my theory is that there aren't any less-than-half demons out there, it could be because demons and humans are a different species.

    • @inuloveskago
      @inuloveskago Před 7 lety +3

      LexofGotham that last line negates the previous one you said ^^;; if they're so different, then there would be no half demons. The reason there probably aren't any quarter demons is because people cast half demons aside, with even Inuyasha saying that no one would really love one. Kagome could be the first to have kids with one if Rumiko had shown them having kids.

    It can be easily argued that Rin loves Sesshomaru as a fatherly figure and not in a romantic way, supported by the fact that she expressed happiness at the idea of Kagura loving Sesshomaru (if she was in love with him, she wouldn't have been happy and would have been sad or jealous). Sesshomaru has also only acted as a fatherly figure to Rin.
    On another note, Kohaku and Rin's relationship could easily take a romantic turn as they get older, especially with how much they care about each other. Also, Kohaku looks a lot like Kagome's brother, Sota. So we have Kohaku who looks a lot like Sota, and Rin who looks a lot like Kagome. And with both Kohaku and Rin being so knowledgable about demons, including how to ward them off, it wouldn't be surprising if their descendants kept knowledge on demons alive in their family.

      Now THAT is denial. Unless you're saying Sesshomaru is a pedophile who had the hots for a 9 year old human girl. He only ever showed fatherly love for her. There was never any indication that he saw her in a romantic light or was grooming her to be his future mate when she grew up (based on Sesshomaru's personality and nature, he would in fact be against such a thing). But even in the epilogue when Rin was older, there was never any indication whatsoever that Seshomaru had any romantic feelings for Rin. He was basically his adoptive daughter/ward, but thought she needed to spend time living amongst humans before he wanted her to decide where she wanted to be, and visiting her and giving her gifts is not out of the ordinary for a father to do, and is even expected more than anything. But if in the epilogue, you seriously saw Sesshomaru, a demon who is decades, possible even hundreds of years old, is in a romantic relationship with an 11 year old girl, then I seriously question your morality.
      Now, you can argue that Rin has a crush on Sesshomaru, that's plausible. However, I once again point to the fact that Rin was happy and excited at her theory that Kagura was in love with Sesshomaru. If she had a crush on him, she would not be happy about that. If anything, she would be sad, depressed, or jealous. So while Rin might have a crush on him, there's evidence to the contrary.
      When it comes down to it, there is absolutely zero evidence or indication that Sesshomaru has romantic feelings, and absolutely zero evidence or that they are or will get together. That's just something the Sesshomaru/Rin shippers are hoping will happen down the line, because for some reason they ship a little girl with a hundreds of year old full grown demon who plays the role of an adoptive father. I mean, if that's the stuff you ship, then whatever, but if you really think that Sesshomaru and Rin are a thing, then the one who's really in denial is you.

Leaving Miroku and Sango as the only viable choices that can be guaranteed not to die. Because if Miroku died Kagome would never have existed. I like your theory, but I still think Kagome is her own ancestor. Now wait, wait, wait; please hear me out. I don't think her family would panic at the thought of Kagome being stuck in the present time since they all still exist. They would have thought somehow, someway, she would get back to that time and be with Inuyasha. How else would Kagome's mother just let her daughter go back to Sengoku Jidai (other than the fact that she knew her daughter was miserable in the present time)? So she could be with Inuyasha, of course. Maybe Mrs. Higurashi knew that and told Kagome, so Kagome would not feel so bad about leaving her family. Not just because she wanted to, but because she has to, for the existence of her family.
    I have a fan fic in working process, and I should not mention it here, but I will anyway. In my story, Kagome and Inuyasha have three children. I won't mention the first two, but the last one they have is a son, a human boy that was conceived when Inuyasha was human (you know, that whole new moon, once a month thing). That cancels out the demon blood. Kagome knows this boy to be the beginning of the Higurashi bloodline, for sure, and she gives him her sire name, Higurashi, unlike the other two who do not have her last name. The boy then gets married to one of Sango and Miroku's daughters (not the twin girls, but another one they have a few years later). That was the beginning of the Higurashi line.
    As for Rin, I honestly do think that Sesshoumaru and her do have a type of romantic relationship, but I do not believe that they have anything to do with Kagome's family line. Maybe cousins to Kagome of some sort, but I agree with you there; they were not involved with Kagome's direct bloodline. However, I will correct you on one thing; it was not uncommon for cousins to marry, especially among the nobles.

      Yes, I admit, it doesn't sound good to believe that Kagome is her own ancestor. Even I was like, "Really, fans? Can you get anymore morbid?" in the beginning. Yet, genetically, when you look at it, Inuyasha is 600+ years older than Kagome, which means they would be so distantly related that it doesn't even count. And, yes, it does sound creepy, so I understand where you two would be like....eww. Despite this, I still believe that Kagome is her own ancestor.

      @@betterthanflapjacks Kagome shouldn't even exist technically bc she's gonna die in the past before ever being born and yet she was still able to be born and raised in the future. Plus, nothing she did in the past seems to have altered the future meaning everything that happened was supposed to happen. There's got to be some predestination paradox or some closed time loop at play.

    Kagome is one of my favorite characters from the show (that does not mean I'm a Kikyou's hater, she's also among my favorites).
    Outside of her reincarnation aspect, she's your everyday ordinary girl. Yet when it was required, she used one's best weapon. Her brain. And it was enough. What she accomplished are no small feats.
    Her personality as the group's mom is also very likable. It's no wonder she's half of the love element.

    Hey! We have the same conclusion!! Great video btw. One thing I also dwelled on is that, in Kagome's present time, her Grandpa often brag about ancient relics from different clans passed down through generations of Higurashis, and we know Miroku is kind of corrupt, a monk that would take such relics from the family he helps exorcise from demons (as shown in the series several times).. One more thing, I don't think Rin spent her lifetime on an unrequited love (hehhee), we saw throughout the series how Seshoumaru changed little by little. And in the last episode of Inuyasha: The Final Act, when Kagome called him brother-in-law, although he showed displeasure (more out of pride and stubbornness) outwardly, when he turned his head away, he was actually smiling, he looked so secretly pleased. That got me thinking that he's actually okay with having a human "sister-in-law", he's okay having a familial relations to Kagome, then there is huge chance that he and Rin would have a future family together. I always thought that that scene was actually shown to give viewers a hint that there's gonna be a happy ending for the Seshoumaru-Rin tandem.

    Even if Kagome WERE her own ancestor, "I'm my own grandpa" would have NOTHING in common with her situation.
    In the song, a young man marries a woman, only to have his father marry her daughter. Both pairs have children. The young man is then the brother of his father's second son, who is in turn the grandson of his wife. There is no weird time travel, paradoxical situations there, just a semi-logical interpretation of a weird family tree.

Is really sick I always see that Sesshomaru Adopted Rin as his own daughter. I can understand about the Fanfiction's on Inuyasha and Kagome in love & understand the fanfiction's Sesshomaru and Kagome are lover. Will never like how they make Sesshomaru something that sick mind. And we are all fans we all have our own way on thinking. By the I like how you made this video It's really good

    On the one hand, I wish a lot of these big questions had been answered or at least hinted at in the show, but on the other hand I think it would've just made things too complicated. I think part of what makes Inuyasha so great is that it's a story that left so much room for the fandom to make their own theories and fanfics deciding why things are the way they are. Fanfics are STILL being made to this day on the show, which speaks to the fan dedication and how great the story is.

    i have a theory that her mother was actually Rei Hino from Sailor Moon and i can even give several reasons why that could be the case
    1) kagome bears a very clear resemblance to Rei
    2) rei and kagome's mom life on the shrine grounds with their eccentric grandfathers in the middle Tokyo
    3) when her mother talks to their grandfather, she doesn't address him as Dad or in a way that would show he's an in-law she simply calls his Grandpa like the rest of them
    4) when Kagome's mom first met Inuyasha she wasn't afraid of him she was surprised by him, but only a little bit. as if she had actually seen something like him before
    5) when she learns that Kagome has work that she does in Inuyasha's time, she doesn't try stop her or tell her not to go. she seems to understand the type of importance that work has
    and 6) we never really find out her mother's name other than her last name which is Higurashi.
    so if you have any other clues to either debunk or prove this theory i would like to hear them and you can also check out my fanfiction that i wrote when i came up with it here's the link www.fanfiction.net/s/10683591/1/Mrs-Higurashi-s-Hidden-past i hope you enjoy it

      But that wouldn't make any sense as Rei from Sailor Moon and KAgome are in different universes. The Same Demons do not exist for Rei that do for Kagome, A Resemblance sure, but they are not the same, as Rei would have passed on any of her powers to kagome, Rei being a Sailor Scout and all. Besides, Creature of Inuyasha wouldn't be able to do that, Kagome's mother doesn't have any resemblance to Rei, Rei's hair is much darker than kagome's mothers, her eyes are not the same, I doubt rei would ever have short hair. and the'rs no way rei would let any of her kids live with out knowing Who their mother was friends with.
