Agree but you know Mick will get his just reward cause Gid punishes all who wrongs sand you know that’s stealing using others for personal gain would not want to be in his shoes
I mimic the last comment Mick won a Grammy for this Song, and Lou sings the song and DOESNT get a Grammy or credit for the song HE sang??? That’s CRAZY!!
Just saw FOREIGNER in INDIO, CALIFORNIA. Kelly Hanson did a fantastic job of leading FOREIGNER through all their hit songs. Mick Jones is also still in the band. The only original member left!
Most people don't realize that with some techniques a singer can get around a hard part switching to head voice and back in an instant or change the shape of the mouth get them over the high notes too and there're more
Lou is a f'ing pro. To sing I Want to Know What Love Is with that much passion even after how that f'ing Mick Jones stole all the credit for it's writing.
His phrasing is so unique to him. The way he subtly transitions between powerful , softly , textured and smooth- and it’s probably all natural to him - simply amazing
Lou came to my small hometown in Ohio in 2006 . My cousin was the manager of the hotel where he was staying. So during the break she asked me if I’d like to meet him. I was thrilled I went backstage and he was such a nice guy. I’ll never forget that day ❤
Lou Gramm started out his musical ambitions as a drummer. But you'd never know it listening to that amazing voice, his range, and the control he has over the way he uses it. Incredible front man live, as well...
No offense to the longtime lead singer replacement but there is no Foreigner without Lou, one of the top 10 rock singers of all time. If you haven't heard him sing Black Dog by Led Zeppelin, CZcams it, made it all his own. Just wow.
I‘be always been amazed with Lou Gramm‘s vocal skills which includes his interpretation, his phrasing his expression, not only his sheer power. But look at this video: the man sits and sings „I wanna know what love is“! Most singers can’t sing it standing and he does it sitting… 😮
As a big Foreigner fan, I never been able too see Lou Gramm Live, that’s really a shame…but all these video’s proof Lou Gramm belongs in my top 5 best singers of all times.
In the late 80's I worked at the Saw Mill River Country Club in Westchester, NY. There was a place on the second floor where you can look down and watch people play racquetball. I was watching this guy who was really good. One day, a Foreigner song comes on and this guy comes out of the court and starts singing along. Everyone stops and looks over and are amazed. I knew him as Mr Grammatico, I had no idea. And such a nice guy.
Lou Gramm just came to my home town and sang at our festival (10/8/21). What a gift to the community it was!!! So much fun, mind blowing to be so close to a rock legend on stage.
Wow! Lou sings all tunes in the original key. Fantastic voice! I appreciate Mick Jones being the founder and main driving force behind Foreigner, but IMHO Lou is who made the band stand out.
Alan Vaughan, have a listen to "Sometimes" by Lou with the Alan Parsons Project from 2019 or 2020. Lou's vocal chops are still intact and as gorgeous as ever.
I agree, dear Bob! He knows not only breathing technique, but sings from the bottom of his heart and with a lot of feeling. He is my favorite rock vocalist! P. S. Do you know Dee as well? What a small world! I learn to play my electric guitar and he helps me.
Dear Lou! Thank you for many years of my life marked with your distinct identity! Please keep having sparkles in your heaven-blue eyes! You are a kind, amazing and handsome human being!
I remember when I was 8 years old going to Sharon's Shirt Shack in the small town I lived in...who sold t-shirts with super cool iron on decals. They also sold 33's and 45's in the other half of their store. There was a crowd around the records that day. Why? It was about a week after the release of Double Vision by Foreigner. I decided to skip the cool t-shirt and get that album instead. It was one of the last copies. I got home all excited and showed my brother who was 7 years older than me and had the awesome record player and speakers. He put it on and then we discovered "Hot Blooded". We must have played that song at least 100 times that day...my brother is gone now but those were THE BEST TIMES EVER :)
Wow! thanks for posting this! I haven't seen it since I did the interview. They were so nice and I LOVE those songs. Trippy when I remember buying Feels Like the First Time 45 then then years later getting to hang with them. Thanks again!
Man, what an honor to have gotten to have met Lou Gramm, one of the best singer's of all time. Talk about talent, hard to beat Lou . Never saw him act arrogant like some, who thought they could sing, but, as we all know, Lou could..... and did. Well done.
One always hears about Robert Plant/Freddy Mercury…and they are spectacular, but Lou IMO is in that “Rock God” Tier with them. Such a powerful voice, but it works on softer songs too.
I have seen a bunch of Lou Gramm acoustic performances on CZcams. Please show me any artist then and now doing that and sounding amazing like that. It really is a gift.
Lou Gramm (Like Steve Perry) often imitated but will never be duplicated
Mick took advantage of Lou. Mick took all the credits. He was greedy. He is a controller and still does. Lou is the best
Amen to that!
Yes after hearing Lou’s story, it sounds like mick was a prick
Yes I think that is true
Lou is the best
Agree but you know Mick will get his just reward cause Gid punishes all who wrongs sand you know that’s stealing using others for personal gain would not want to be in his shoes
Lou has the most incredible voice. Without him, there is no Foreigner.
LOU has such full vibe in his voice, a very special kind of voice
Lou Gramm is so good… I’m embarrassed even to sing in the shower after I hear him. Sweet Lord he has some pipes..
I never heard a comment quite like this one haha
Without Lou there is no Foreigner. Lou is and was the voice and face of Foreigner.
Lou Gramm, one of the best rock vocalists ever!
azguitar if not THE BEST...
Did he have a brain tumor
Agree
Jeff Kasler yes he did
👍
I mimic the last comment Mick won a Grammy for this Song, and Lou sings the song and DOESNT get a Grammy or credit for the song HE sang??? That’s CRAZY!!
No one else can do it like Lou. He was Foreigner.
Just saw FOREIGNER in INDIO, CALIFORNIA. Kelly Hanson did a fantastic job of leading FOREIGNER through all their hit songs. Mick Jones is also still in the band. The only original member left!
IS.
@@gregs.427Mick is not touring with them, though. So 0 original members in the band. Of course it is time to say farewell.
Foreigner is Lou Gramm - What a voice!
Lou has one of the best voices in rock and roll.
How Lou could push his voice that hard night in and night out still blows my mind
Most people don't realize that with some techniques a singer can get around a hard part switching to head voice and back in an instant or change the shape of the mouth get them over the high notes too and there're more
Lou Graham was like America's version of Robert Plant - what an amazing voice
@@johnnyrocker7495 totally agree.
He seems shy and quiet but that voice when he sings. Damn.
Blows me away how awesome Lou Gramm can sing live.
He never screws up either just sings perfect everytime.
One of the greatest
👍👏
One of the best rock voices.
One of the best voices in rock ever
That voice, the hair, the eyes, the mannerisms, the sultry speaking voice. Lou Gramm was the dream. Still love him!
Lou WAS Foreigner. The band would not have been nearly as successful if it weren't for Lou's voice and presence. ❤
Agree 10000%
Lou is a f'ing pro. To sing I Want to Know What Love Is with that much passion even after how that f'ing Mick Jones stole all the credit for it's writing.
Mick Jones was a first class d-bag. Lou was (still is) the man. Can’t wait to see him in Red Bank in Feb ‘24!
Lou will be a fraction of himself....enjoy.
Lou is Foreigner and always will be, there's no imitations. Your simply the best!!
His phrasing is so unique to him. The way he subtly transitions between powerful , softly , textured and smooth- and it’s probably all natural to him - simply amazing
Lou looks kickass rockin' that Robert Plant hair. One of my all-time favorite voices. Foreigner is a joke without him.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing.
Lou Gramm. What an amazing voice. The best.
Lou came to my small hometown in Ohio in 2006 . My cousin was the manager of the hotel where he was staying. So during the break she asked me if I’d like to meet him. I was thrilled I went backstage and he was such a nice guy. I’ll never forget that day ❤

Anyone could be sitting there playing keyboards... as long as you've got Lou there, it will be fabulous.
I‘be always been amazed with Lou Gramm‘s vocal skills which includes his interpretation, his phrasing his expression, not only his sheer power. But look at this video: the man sits and sings „I wanna know what love is“! Most singers can’t sing it standing and he does it sitting… 😮
One of the greatest singers ever.
SAW LOU GRAMM PLAY LAST NIGHT AT THE SABAN THEATRE IN BEVERLY HILLS...HE KILLED IT AND THE NICEST MAN YOU EVER MET
Met him and saw him many times and yes he's a very nice person and that voice is so nice. I have a guitar pick of his.
As a big Foreigner fan, I never been able too see Lou Gramm Live, that’s really a shame…but all these video’s proof Lou Gramm belongs in my top 5 best singers of all times.
Ditto
SAME HAPPENS TO ME,WHAT A SHAME!😥
Me too, because he never performed in Russia, but what a great singer and a nice human! I'm blessed to have a real dream in my life.
Lou, you are beautiful and brilliant. So glad YOU are finally getting that RRHOF recognition you deserve.
I like his voice better now.
The acoustic versions of these song really showcase Lou’s phenomenal voice.
Lou is such an INCREDIBLE talent and EVERYONE knows it, love you Lou .
His voice is so strong, beautiful and expressive.
Lou's voice...distinct from anyone else, so pleasing to the ear...gifted man. I always listen to a Lou song when it pops on the radio.
That voice...one of the best in rock history.
Unbelievable...Lou is the man...can sing his ass off...made my hair standup...
Damn that guy could sing! I had forgotten...
he was so handsome with the voice of a true angel
In the late 80's I worked at the Saw Mill River Country Club in Westchester, NY. There was a place on the second floor where you can look down and watch people play racquetball. Lucky you! Sweet that he sang along to his own song - gave you a private concert.
Wow! What a seriously underrated stretch of fantastic music these guys made.
Very, very close between Lou Gramm and Steve Perry. Lou’s voice was ridiculously good!
Lou gramm was one of the best vocalists in the music industry.
I've seen them live dozens of times.
I totally agree. Wow! A dozen times you got to see them?! I thought my 3 times was good.
A voice you can listen to forever and never get tired of it, what must it be like to have talent like this
My God! I’ve never heard this almost acoustic version. Lou is an unbelievable. This is just great.
Lou Gramm, what a gorgeous man.
Shows how good his voice is. Breaking it down like this exposes a singers talent
Had a crush on Lou when I was a teen. That voice and curly mop of hair. Such a beautiful man.
Lou Gramm just came to my home town and sang at our festival (10/8/21). What a gift to the community it was!!! So much fun, mind blowing to be so close to a rock legend on stage.
my pops was his lead guitarist! look up "a mix of lou gramm" youll see him on midnight blue and a few others :)
It is a real shame what happened to Lou. To me Lou is Foreigner
His song between different worlds was my wedding song
Lou has one of the best voices of the generation
Much respect and love for Lou Gramm. ❤️
Puts his heart and soul in every song love this man
Wow! Lou sings all tunes in the original key. Fantastic voice! I appreciate Mick Jones being the founder and main driving force behind Foreigner, but IMHO Lou is who made the band stand out.
True dat.
Mick knew that and was jealous of him.!
Absolutely agree, everything Lou did was good, from Black sheep .....
Best rendition of "Feels like the first time" ever, hands down.
Lou's control over his vocals is nothing short of amazing.
Brilliant Voice !! Enough Said.!!!
If Angels sound like Lou, I have no fear of death. Thanks for sharing.
Lou Gramm has the best voice ever!
What a voice.
This song would had never made it if it wasn’t for Lou it is sad how Lou was left out. 😢
Let's just say, a true vocalist and legend.
Man they wrote some great tunes ...and in his Prime no one could touch this man on Vocals
Alan Vaughan, have a listen to "Sometimes" by Lou with the Alan Parsons Project from 2019 or 2020. Lou's vocal chops are still intact and as gorgeous as ever.
That voice is simply, passionate!
I could think of 4 or 5 Great rock voices,, but Lou, has allways been, Right up there at the top,
ONE OF THE GREATEST ROCK SINGERS EVER LIVED, SO SORRY FOR HIS SUFFERING.....
Lou Gramm is one of my all time favorites.
We were spoiled by these bands.. only to treasure them more than ever...now
Incredible voice and range.
Rock vocal virtuosity. Incredible voice.
I agree, dear Bob! He knows not only breathing technique, but sings from the bottom of his heart and with a lot of feeling. He is my favorite rock vocalist!

Foreigner IS LOU GRAMM!! They are simply not the same without him!!
The "new guy" delivers for sure (reminds me an awful lot of Steven Tyler, vision wise) but yeah, Lou is the real deal
agree😢
Masterful performance by Lou Gramm🔥
Lou is brilliant
great sound and feeling
Possibly the most beautiful male voice that I’ve ever heard. Simply incredible.
Lou Gramm was Foreigner! What a great singer! You also want to reach out and touch his gorgeous hair!
This is amazing. Lou's tone and attitude are impeccable as always. The best!

Lou Gramm > Freddie Mercury
Love you Lou, Will love Original Foreigner Forever🎶🎶💖
I kept expecting him to shy away from the powerful notes. Nope. He leans way into them. Impressive
Lou Gram 💪♥️☝️ is The MAN 💪🌹☝️
No Lou No Foreigner Luv ya Lou
I have seen a bunch of Lou Gramm acoustic performances on CZcams. Please show me any artist then and now doing that and sounding amazing like that. It really is a gift.
Geoff Tate’s acoustic set on Unplugged is epic.
