This couldn't have a better timing! I just received my first ever Leuchtturm 1917 for starting BuJo!!! (Previously I was running a trial version on simple sheets)
I also thought maybe someone would find this useful:
I bought Leuchtturm on purpose, because it's expensive for what it is, and I have a tendency get really frustrated if something doesn't go the way I have planned (in BuJo - if everything doesn't look perfect and pretty). But with BuJo, especially if I've started rather recently, you make mistakes, and I don't always succeed in making the page beautiful, etc.
So I have high hopes that I will learn to deal with/accept this frustration doing the BuJo, making mistakes, having my horrible handwriting in an expensive notebook, just to push myself. And hopefully, it will reflect on my life in general too, and I will be less afraid to make mistakes. You start with baby steps, right?

I just LOVE that full year page layout from Tiny Ray of Sunshine! I've already set it up split across a spread in my journal for tracking birthdays and my PTO days, and I'm going to use pieces of it on my project planning pages for those that that run across several months. This is an inspiring video, Kara. I especially love the alphabet page. I'd love you to demonstrate some of the different kinds of illustrated letters in your handwriting class :)
For the failed yearly habit tracker, for those who want the full year but have the same issue you've described of not wanting to transcribe over and over. I ran into that problem when I was trying to figure out doing the year in pixels. I really wanted to do it but I didn't want to write it over and over, so I just started added a little calendar box in my monthly spread and then when I get into my bujo that I know will finish the year I can build the full year tracker and fill it all in. That way I get what I want to see in the yearly, with only one transcription.
I am so excited to see how this project turns out! It will be very helpful!

I loooove watching your videos, I love that you share with us every single thought process you have - this is so extremely helpful - and generous! Your videos about BuJo are the best on youtube (even though I do mine quite differently). I just DIG!! your 1 month in your BuJo, been watching all videos at least twice so far.
And the best part: I love to see how your business grows. It is brilliant to see that you actually make a living out of your kind and sweet and conscious way of living. Makes me believe in a better world, tbh.

What did you use for the headers on the Buti Yoga page? Is it a faux calligraphy with a regular fineliner or calligraphy with a flex nib of some kind? It's so beautiful :)

I need to switch to a Health Tracker in my next BuJo because currently I have a Migraine tracker and some other health related trackers for one year and honestly they're spread all over the place and it's kinda annoying
For your ur line a day, don't u already have the LT 1917 some lines a day for that? How r u using both together?

it's not officially called an US alphabet. I forgot what it is called. Other alphabets can have more/less/different letters.

It's called the Latin alphabet. Considering languages other than English also use it... ;-)

Thank you for the video, I don't have a bullet journal but was able to do the same thing with my Ultimate Diary Planner ( bit.ly/2jnt2Hy ) - looking back at what went well in January, what's coming up in Feb, daily spreads, tracking habits etc. Looking forward to planning with you again in next month.

Fat Tuesday is a celebration (Mardi Gras). It's the last day before Lent starts. Ash Wednesday (the day after Fat Tuesday) marks the start of Lent. Lent is a fasting period for Christians, mainly Catholics. www.holidayinsights.com/christian/fat2day.htm
Boho Berry thank you for that. In UK the day before Ash Wednesday is called Shrove Tuesday, where we should eat up all our fat, hence the more colloquial name of Pancake day!

There is no such thing as the "American alphabet". Please consider you are just a part of the world, you belong to a History.
We all use the "Latin alphabet" and we should be proud of it!
