She is AMAZING ! Unfortunately there is soooo many chop shops and "nail tech" who have no idea how to safely and properly work on nails , there should be more regulations in nail shops because there is soo many people who ended up with ifections or even amputations.

Dual forms are my go-to now. And I used to HATE them. It definitely is just doing it consistently and getting a technique down. I’m so much faster using them now than I am with any other method so I think I’m hooked fr. Still have a special place in my heart for paper forms and sculpting though☺️

I love free forms because you have better control of where the product is going instead of praying it smushes right, leave less room for cuticle error which is what causes a lot of poor outgrowing nails. Which later will mess with your actual immune system, i love how careful you are with cuticles! Youre one of the best.
Theres this other artist currently circling on Snapchat that just paints and cleans around the cuticle as they go but people dont understand that flooding the cuticles is how product gets STUCK under the cuticles. You wanna avoid flooding as much as possible and thats just not practicle with free forms.

The smooshing is a trend and dual forms really shouldn’t be used like that. The product (gel, hybrid gel, acrylic) should be spread out the desired length or slightly longer and filled, then gently press the form and product onto the nail. It’s still faster and there’s less single use products involved.

I've been watching your videos for a while now, and I just wanted to say that I love that you experiment with different techniques for your clients, and try to find what works as best as possible for their nail types so that they get the best results they can get. And I love that your clients usually (if not always) seem to trust you and your experiments during your appointments with them. It's nice to see, and I feel like this proves even further that you're a great nail tech. :)' And their nails always look so nice! I always love the designs you do for their nail sets. No matter what method I see you use, their nails always look so neat and precise and just all-around perfect. Great work!

Interested to know what you’d use in my situation…
I have relatively thin nails that will tear so close to the hyponychium that it hurts. They do this when they grow out longer than maybe half a centimeter past the free edge. I can’t stand having one short nail so I end up clipping all of them just to start over growing again. I have no idea what to use to help them stay strong but I love having longer nails
Edit: I completely forgot to mention I have incredibly oily nail beds. I’ve never had anything last longer than maybe a week and that was salon done acrylics when I was a teen.

If you’re wanting to have long nails, I would do Gel X. And if removed properly when you are ready to take them off or re-do them, your nails will be healthy! I have natural nails that easily break and I’ve been doing gel X for close to a year now and when I take them off my real nails are long and feel strong and healthy!

Gel x is the only thing that worked for my weak and brittle nails to grow them out some. I’ve tried builder gel, I’ve tried hard gel, regular gel, you name it I’ve probably tried it and still had lifting like immediately that then only led to my nails splitting more. Gel x is the only thing that works for me.

I used forms & got the beetles structure gel. Ugh 😑 still don’t know what I’m doing wrong because it lifts or peels within hours. But when I used beetles (rubber base)builder in a bottle they lasted. Could it be the different formulas or me ? 😂 lol ❤

Since you have products from the same brand and the rubber base builder gel holds I would try to use that as a base layer when doing your nails with the other gel. I do this with the gel bottle brand. I use the rubber base as the first thin layer and then use the builder gel on top and it works great. If not it could be that the structure gel needs different nail prep primer. (I am not a tech but I did struggle a lot because of lifting so maybe this could help)

I just did a full set of polygel tips yesterday for a party and they’ve all but 3 popped off by today, a few while I was sleeping- and a few had the tips broken off before they did. Idk what I’m doing wrong, am I not making them thick enough? I prepare the nail by buffing and applying dehydrator and primer, then a base coat and a rubber base layer, then buff that and add the polygel…. Is there anything anyone could pinpoint or add to help me make them last longer and stronger?
