I’m not sure if this is the right place but I have a question for Q and A Friday. I have small children and am nervous about using candles in my bedroom, how can I hygga my main bedroom to make it feel cozy and welcoming? Thanks

I'm plugging away working on keeping up with things. Even though the 2 others in the house haven't been feeling well, especially my hubby. I'm keeping up with dishes and getting garbage taken out. Gotta think of something for our breakfast for supper night

Taking a hard look at kitchen items because a neighbor befriended a new immigrant family that is furnishing their first apartment and they're asking for kitchen things. Knowing the recipients and their specific need gives a sense of purpose to decluttering. ❤❤❤
Diane, the three videos a week are absolute genius! Thank you so much for your kind and cheerful presence! Have been following for a long time and you always brighten up my days. Your energy and cheerfulness are highly contagious and work miracles for this (= me) sometimes sad and grumpy middle-aged lady.
I had appointments this morning, so I didn’t get to see this until about 1:00 PM. What a pleasure to discover that it’s just as enjoyable to start at any random moment! I don’t have to wait for tomorrow morning, or next Monday, or any other “right” time to begin. Any time is Diane time!

Kitchen-polished the appliances, dining room quick dust and powder room toilet and sink done. Family room quick cleaning of the table. Just a bit longer then 15 minutes. Feels much better. Thank you Diane ❤🎉

Cleaned cutlery drawer in the kitchen and the two drawers in my sideboard in the sittingroom which hold my "best" cutlery and cutlery I don't use regularly. Cleaned under the sink and sorted cleaning products making them more accessible. Also tackled the foil drawer, all before taking a trip to Ikea with my daughter where we lunched on Swedish meatballs! Shortly after arriving home, changed into my gym stuff and went to my Circuit Training class for an hour then chatted to my gym mates for another hour before getting home. A great day. Think I did ok for a 77 year old! Thank you Diane for all your encouragement.
Thank you for reminding me to do just 10 minutes, but be consistent with this.
Cleaned my kitchen on Monday as I had extra time on top of my weekly upkeep clean. Cleaned out my toaster & the drawer it lives in & cleaned my windows & fridge! Thank you for your constant inspiration & focus.

It's so much better to do it that way than removing everything from the fridge and cleaning the whole thing while the temperature of the food goes up. 🦠

Thank you for keeping with us!🎉I struggle with routines. Your 3 videos a week are really helping me out. Today I did a reset, wipe down kitchen counters, fromt of the microwave door and handle,glass top slove, refrigerator one shelf!🎉 For the 10 min. Then I did a quick tidy in my bedroom, bathroom. And a few other things. Thanks again for the motivation.

I had a super busy day and felt great knowing that all my cleaning is already done✅ that is why the flylady system is great just keep at it and nothing piles up ❤ prepping dinner and getting the dishes done while watching the video!
I'm still suffering with headaches that give me the blerghs but I did my declutter and clean today. I decluttered 5 little drawers a my window sill. Then cleared my large window sill and cleaned that too. Not been done since before surgery in July last year. I knew it'd take me a good 9 months to catch up as I couldn't do anything for about 5 months. Now I can bend over amd squat again it's coming back together alongside these amazing videos through the week that REALLY REALLY help! Thanks Diane. I feel like I'm almost flying again.

Today I worked in the kitchen : wiped down a few cupboard doors, descaled the kettle, clean the sink,clean the stove,wiped the inside of the fridge and the cutlery drawer. Amazing what I could get done in 15 minutes.❤

Dear Diane, I love your daffodils, they remind me of my dearly departed great-grandmother who was the tidiest person and the best housewife I've ever met, yet the talented artist and decorator who loved displaying some daffodils from her own garden. Perfect! I had just sat down to rest my back after working outside with someone when I saw this video. I had not fully finished cleaning in the kitchen (after having served lunch to the person I was helping) - deciding instead to procrastinate and watch a video first - well, those plans changed when I saw and "clicked on" your video. Thank you so much for the "body doubling", encouragement, and how you give a positive direction to those things I'd rather 'put off'. Now the kitchen is clean, my supper in the oven, and I am enjoying some rest time. Must tell you my heart had a happy memory when I heard you wishing your friend a happy birthday - reminded me of a dear Danish friend, now passed away, who used to call me on my birthday (her birthday was the day after) and sing her Danish birthday song. I never found out the translation but miss hearing it; so special. Thank you!

My mission for today was all the windows in the kitchen, little tv, the fronts of all the large appliances, and scrub the cast grates from my stove - then I was lucky to sit with my yogurt & berries, and watch you clean. Thank you Diane. (funny I talk about you like you are my good friend!)

Thank you again Diane! Your videos really help me to stay on track. I cleaned the kitchen windows, the cabinet fronts and mopped the floor. It feels fresh and light! I’ve also changed some small things around and bought two little pots with snowdrops to put on the little table outside my kitchen window.
Working in the kitchen with you, Diane. I gave both the microwave and toaster a good cleaning. Now that the torrential rain has stopped, I’m heading out to retrieve and rehouse the trash and recycling bins. A quick and satisfying 15 minutes!
🎉 So far this week, I’ve done a twenty minute declutter every day woohoo! 🎉 The cooking/spice cupboard, the tea/coffee/hot chocolate cupboard + a utility drawer that struggled to close! 🫣 Today, I cleaned the front of a few cupboards, got my P.U.P.A done and emptied the bins and pasts it’s best food in the fridge! 🎉 My husband is so grateful when he sees a newly decluttered space! 🫶🏼 See you Friday! ☕️🕯️💖

I'm still in the Kitchen! I cleaned the stove, the microwave, the fridge, the sinks, everything I could on the countertops. I'm remembering this week to unload the dishwasher onto the tableware, glasses, and dishes so the table is set for the next meal. My family really loves the table set because it looks like some food is coming there way soon. I also started washing the knives in the sink and keeping them out of the dishwasher. I sweep the floor, but couldn't mop and do everything in 10 min. I'll get it again in the morning! Thank you, Diane!
Rah rah rah!!! Thank you, Diane!! Today I cleaned the tops of my cupboards and the old tins I keep up there. Due to the zone system, this was an EASY clean today instead of the horrendous gunky task it used to be (when I finally did it maybe every year...). I have a wood stove for cooking so more grime and dust in my kitchen than usual. Thank you! Absolutely love the 3 videos this year. They help me stay focused and accountable. ❤

My middle son suffers with depression. His room can get overwhelming for him to keep clean. This is one of those times. Yesterday we set a timer for 10 minutes and got to work getting things off the floor. We got SO much done and even though the timer went off he still wanted to keep going! Such is the proof that breaking up a huge task into small pieces makes it less stressful. Thanks always for the motivation and cheery disposition!
I was planning on listening to today’s video while I took a break from work, but you inspired me to go to the kitchen and see if there was any tidying I could do. I managed to clean the greasy hood vents above the stove in 10 minutes. Yay! I normally put this task off. Thanks Diane!

Bit late but got all worktops cleared and cleaned, and floor brushed while waiting for dinner, so now I can relax and watch the hygge video!
I worked in the kitchen today. Vacuumed (or hoovered), wiped the windows and sills, the wooden blinds, the cabinets and all the appliances. I went over my 10 minutes a few times, but that was okay. It felt good to complete my goals first the day.

Happy Birthday to Helene! 🎉 Today I am sweeping and mopping the kitchen area. I’m also doing a bit of catchup after having had a stomach bug. But, I gave myself grace knowing that the work would get done when I felt better.
Just did this today! Thank you for sharing, it was immensely helpful. Sometimes with zone cleaning, nothing looks "urgent" so I wait. Well now the kitchen looks nice and shiny. But even more importantly I found a stray piece of glass just under the freezer door. No idea where it came from but so glad I found it first before someone else stepped on it! I cleaned kitchen counters, appliance surfaces, toaster, shined sink, vacuumed and washed floor, several kitchen shelves, detailed the stove top and dials. For decuttering, I was going to do one shelf in the large pantry BUT my husband jumped in and helped decide what to give away and throw away! I've decluttered for many years and now he totally gets it! The pantry is no longer stuffed!
I've been sick since Sunday, so late getting to this, but gave the kitchen a good spot of love along with you - thanks
Yeah, my kitchen was in need of cleaning. I washed windows and sills, wiped down fridge and my trash and recycling cans. I washed my curtains, vacuumed and mopped the floors, and put away random items on the counters. Thanks again Diane for the inspiration. See you Friday.

In the kitchen I wiped off the windowsill where two ants were struggling to avoid the heavy rain, cleaned off one shelf, and vacuumed and mopped. Done quickly and onto more fun things.

catching up from a crazy week. It felt so good to wipe down the fronts of my cupboards and get the floor vacuumed and the area rugs shook out! Thanjs for faithfully being there to cheer me on. Cleaning time now feels like "me time".

I’m cleaning the kitchen counters today. I worked 6 days this week out of town so things piled up some. It’s nice to be able to see the counters and knowing that I was able to do all of that in 10 minutes.
